We were disappointed the ribs were cold since it was what we were looking forward to the most! And my toilet didnt flush..But the service and atmosphere was satisfactory. Will definitely visit again.

This is such a great place and offers buffet meals. We opted for buffet breakfast, but they also had other buffet meals on their menu. I guess we will need to come back for lunch. Service was amazing, and the staff was enthusiastic and friendly. They have seating outside and have a bar and smoking section. This is great for young kids as they have an in-house arcade section and lots to keep children busy. they also have kids' supervision. Great music. They honestly tick all the boxes. This will be a great place for small to larger groups of people, family gatherings, and birthday parties.

OMG the guy that greeted me as I walked in❤️❤️❤️ his energy, I think he is the manager. He made this place for me, well nearly killed me with the cocktail🤣 but he fixed it shame. I ordered ribs and chips for take away. Loved the food, I had pork ribs, I will definitely go back for the buffet 😊. Affordable prices too, they have a great kiddies place with extra games. Also an adult place🤣 the bar. I loved it. Great place.

I definitely recommend the pork ribs. The buffet was also great, however, we had to wait in a bit of a long queue as the place was quite packed on the day we went. It was also very noisy due to the amount of people at the restaurant when we went but if you don't mind the noise, it's a good place.

I tried House of Ribs tonight after giving them quite a long break. We got there around 7:30 and was surprised at how many empty tables there were. The food selection was roast pork, roast beef, Spareribs, potatoes, spinach, pumpkin. While the selection is good and the food is flavourful it was unfortunately all cold

Had a pretty decent experience. Was here with 13 others so a large table. Just found it interesting that they close the kitchen and everything so early (9pm and this was the 22nd of Jan). The plated dishes were good. My steak was decent but I asked for medium and got medium-well. My wife had the fish and this was so good I was jealous. Friend had a burger and it looked good. The rest of the table had the buffet and everyone seemed to be a little underwhelmed. It's really great value for money but the food was average from what the others said. Overall, a good experience at a really great price. Would come again purely for value.

Was not a fan of the interior of the restaurant; minimal ventilation and poorly lit. However the food redeemed the experience, ribs did not disappoint and the other meals were also good.

From my call to find out if I need to book, till my last dessert, I was satisfied. A very friendly Lerato on the phone, promised me a lovely dinner, and that I got. There are not many buffet restuarants where the roast's are succulent and juicy. Many places I found it to dry. Love the selection on the buffet and they have eishbein for R99 per kg. Good value for money. Staff are super friendly and very professional. Come here if you are hungry. Will definitely come again. They can seat 350 people inside and outside and also have a private room with 18 seats. To run a big seater like this successfully, the management must be hands on.

Where to even start. I booked a table a MONTH in advance for a 30th bday party on a specific place for a specific reason!. Just to be told that the people on that spot doesn't want to move?? Where have you ever heard of that?. Crammed into a small space with 20 people (very upset people). Giving a alcoholic drink to a person that STRICTLY doesn't drink alcohol, taking way to long with orders. Unsafe environment as a 86 year old lady falling on the entrance and no body even trying to assist or ask if she was ok, just to state in a reply email that there is no step??. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING!! Wish I read all these comments first before booking there. None of our friends or family will EVER step foot in this place. We will rather go to Little Neros right next door.Even tried to complain in a email to them JUST to hear that basically why didn't I complain on the said night? Duh !! Trying to make good memories and trying to keep everybody happy is priority!!!Booked a table at the play ground to ensure the parents doesn't need to leave the party to check on children, (got the wrong table) just to hear a reply that they believe that the parents would have gotten up anyway doesn't matter where our seats was!!!. I'm furious . This is unprofessional, unapologetic, unsafe and very cheeky.Everyone please think carefully before choosing this place.😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

If I could I would give them less than 1.<br/><br/>1. The service is completely and absolutely terrible needles to say there is no service.<br/>2. After waiting forever for the food to come the food had no taste and was cold.<br/>3. For the quality of the food and service and the amount you have to pay is actually ridiculous. <br/><br/>We were completely put off and we will never ever be going back to this place. I will never in a million years recommend anyone to this place.

I have to take my hat off to the senior management of this restaurant a Mother and Daughter team who do an outstanding job. This is not an easy business to be in, the headaches and stress that come with it, the people in the know will agree with me. Ladies keep it up.

Bleh!! I stay very far away from Boksburg, and felt that since I was in the area and I'm a rib lover, House of Ribs might be worth the visit. 😑 I was gravely wrong; the wings were bland, the ribs were absolutely horrible; tough and nothing to write home about. I could hardly finish my meal, after a few bites I asked for a takeaway box- my waitress was then told to come to the office after assisting me. The ambience was something out of 1960 with sticky, plastic table cloths. I'll never be caught dead there.<br/><br/>Definitely not worth anyone's money. If you're looking for good wings and ribs- The Wing Republic in Braamfontein is a must go.

Service is appalling, the "manager" is rude and shows no form of hospitality and the food is average at best. Would honestly recommend fast food above this, especially since they are heavily overpriced.

It has been while since I last visited this place and I must say that the experience was okay. I decided to go against the tradition of having a buffet and ordered the ribs and the steaks. The steaks were cooked well ( maybe except for the ribeye which was a bit tough) but the ribs was overcooked and was a bit dry. Service was okay but I could have done with some wet wipes for our hands when serving the ribs.

Have been going there for the last 20 years, was very dissapointed in the food, the Pork was mush, the beef dry and stringy, when Paul mentioned it to the new Manager , He told Paul to go eat somewhere else. He was very rude to Paul.  It was an Awesome place when Jimmy owned it, now it's gone to the dogs, will not recomend anybody to eat there old food, and we will definately not be going back, so the new owners husband  can shove it where it fits best.

We had our year end and very disappointed at the level of efficiency. We made feel uncomfortable because they couldn't find our proof of pay. A payment we made on the 14th of November. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Went there for our Christmas dinner on Monday the 14 of November 2016 and we will never go again! The Director was in an accident 3 weeks ago and received major surgery and are not allowed to walk for the next 3 months. He did not want to let the company down and endured the pain to attend the Christmas dinner since I already made the reservation on the 14th of October.  The restaurant was quiet so we expected good service from our waitress. Waited 18 minutes for our drinks. Had to ask for cutlery which she placed in a heap on the table. The buffet was definitely leftover food from the weekend! Instead of the usual mushroom soup it was something else that nobody could identify. I had to ask the chef what it was and apparently it was potato soup. Sure did not taste like it, tasted more like leftover mushroom soup with potatoes mixed into it so there is enough for service. Some of the staff chose salad for starters, the tomato salad was sour, the broccoli was hard and inedible and the potato salad had no taste. We hardly touched our meals. 20 Minutes later the plates were still standing on the table, stacked on each other waiting for the waitress who was socializing with the rest of staff that had nothing to do. I had to call her to clear the table. Went for main course and what a disappointment. The potatoes tasted days old and microwaved, the spinach was sour, the chicken was dry, smelled off and when cut open it was red inside. Even the ribs tasted terrible. The rest of the food did not taste much better. Needless to say nobody at the table ate much of their food. Two of us decided to take a walk outside and in the passing I told the gentleman that cut the cavery that the food was absolutely terrible! At this time the kitchen door opened and 3 staff members popped their heads out and looked at us. I asked him how much of it is leftover food from the weekend? He looked embarrassed and said only some of it. After our walk I decided to speak to the manager about it and she called the head chef. Of course all of it was denied. My husband said to the chef that he should taste his own food and then tell us what he thinks but he refused. He said maybe the staff did not follow the recipes. Really? They make the exact same food every single night, surely they can do it blindfolded by now! There was nothing wrong with the staffs abilities because we have dined at this restaurant on many occasions over weekends. Went back to the table and decided to write it off as one of our worst Christmas dinners and I apologized profusely to the director who had to endure it while in extreme physical pain. Had to call the waitress who were once again socializing to order drinks. She only took half the drinks so we had to call her back. When the bill came I saw that the service charge was already included, no wonder we had to practically beg the waitress to do her job the entire night. Honestly this restaurant make enough money over a weekend so there is no reason for them to be open on a Monday or to serve leftover food! This morning the staff came to me and said that it tasted terrible and half of them are sick but thank you in anyway. What an embarrassment!

14.08.2016 It's been years since I was last at this restaurant and recently found myself here again. <br/><br/>We went for the breakfast buffet. I guess I'm spoilt when it comes to these as I am use to places with a huge array of food items from sweet to savoury and in terms of breakfast this was rather limited. It has the basics white and brown Bread, Cereals, Fruit Salad and Yoghurt. Warm food options were eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Mushrooms, Livers, Pap and chakalaka and French toast. Although it was good and filled the tummy, missed having a selection of pastries or waffles or crumpets or juices or just that something extra. <br/><br/>I ordered a Cappuccino with the perfect amount of cream - yummy. My Amarula White Hot chocolate however was a tad too sweet. <br/><br/>Thankfully it is under management who have been well known in the fast food industry over the years. I'm sure given time they will make some changes and bring this place back to life.

A quiet, little buffet with ribs galore! The softest pork roast sets the precedent and the ribs don't disappoint. This will be a firm fav whenever I am in Jozi!

Before I rate the food and service. .. helllooo, can u at least allow ur customers to access the wifi? ?? In this day age. Come on. Otherwise,the service is really okay. Nothing exciting. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's mediocre really.

I've been to many restaurants of vastly different calibers; however trust me when I say that the service and food at the House of Ribs is by far one of the very best I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. <br/><br/>Their pricing is akin to that of Spur - perhaps even more affordable; with the exception that you get 5 star world class treatment from House of Ribs.<br/><br/>I'll definately visit again; even if it's just for a cup of coffee.

The service is terrible. Cutlery was dirty. Food had absolutely no taste or flavour.<br/><br/>The name "House of Ribs" is also a joke. The ribs served seem to all be offcut. Tiny buts of meat and a ton of bones.<br/><br/>An absolutely dreadful place.

House of ribs as the name suggests is famous for their ribs, which i would rate 7/10, the basting could maybe use some improvement but overall very tasty.<br/><br/>There is also a large and very well priced buffet offering your usual Sunday lunch type fares, which is very good by buffet standards.<br/><br/>There is a great kids area to keep the little ones busy and the service has been consistent on all the occasions i have visited them.

Lastnight I had the utter pleasure to dine at House of Ribs in Boksburg. I never once for a second imagined it would be as high class and elegant as it was. the decor is beautiful, the lights dimmed for the perfect date and the old 90's music playing softly in the background while I enjoy my drink.<br/><br/>The restaurant was immensely busy - I do not smoke and was seated in the smoking area as there was no other spaces available. I didnt mind as the manager accommodated us by seating us by an open window so the smoke didnt bother us. The waiter seemed to be waiting on 7 tables at once so I do not blame him for the slow service as we recieved our drinks in record time.<br/><br/>We waited about 25 - 30 minutes for our food. I ordered a medium rare 250G ladies fillet while my fiance ordered the 300 G rump. My steak was cooked to PERFECTION, the meat was literally peeling off and delectably smooth on the pallet. Coupled with the creamed spinach that melted in your mouth. My piece of fillet was incredibly big which impressed me with how perfect it was cooked. My faince had his 300 G rump well done and was impressed with how it was cooked but not impressed with the size as it was much flatter and smaller than mine and did not seem to be 300G. But none the less, the steaks were cooked to perfection, the chips crispy - my vegetables cooked lovely. Not too mention - how affrodable our array of wonderful food was. It cost us no more than R200 to enjoy a high end meal for two. We enjoyed the rest of the evening drinking and watching the nearby planes fly over through the window while smelling the Lavender right outside the window.<br/><br/>I can honestly say - that was the best steak i have ever had! Well done!<br/><br/>And to top it off - we had a warm greeting goodnight by the patrons.<br/><br/>Excellent evening spent at The House Of Ribs - will definitely be visiting them again in the near future!
