Very nice place. I had a hake burger on a Portuguese roll with tartare sause and I liked the way they cooked they hake & very fresh Portuguese rolls . I like this burger a lot.

Honestly I am loving the flavours of Adega. The food is fresh, spicy and delicious. The pricing compared to other similar outlets selling Peri Peri chicken is more affordable with better quality food and taste is superior. This location is convenient. I think this is an amazing deal
Tried so many options but prawn pasta is my favourite so far among all the items it was too spicy but taste so good that we takes hour to finish it!!

We always order the chicken which is succulent and divine. Their rissoles, calamari and prawns are also outstanding items. I wouldn't recommend the Trinchado, it's more like a meat stew without the veggies.
I like this place as an alternate place to have Indian taste. 1/4 chicken with a roll is the best dish I normally take here. Its spicy and awesome taste. If you do not prefer spicy food you need to tell them before ordering.
Thank You Adega Express Sandton City & in Particular Mr. Abdul previously from Adega Grosvenor or Bryanston - He epitomizes Customer Service!, I had a family gathering & had to cater for 13 Adults with varying tastes from spices to mild, I got the amazing Chicken & Prawns with ALL the sides & it was a massive Hit - Chicken was made to Perfection & not dry or overly spiced, the prawns were Brilliant tasty & a very decent size - without me asking extra sauces were provided & just Amazing Food! I was extremely happy & will be a continued Supporter now & in the future - My experience was a 10 Star rating!

This particular Adega Express is my go to when shopping, looking for a quick meal and friday take outs. The chicken is always done well with my special request of extra sauce always taken care of. The prawns are juicy and well sized in comparison to fellow competitors. Been a regular and will continue to do so.
I ordered a prawn and chicken combo with a bubblegum milkshake.The prawns were cooked to perfection and the butter garlic sauce i chose was so delicious. I was also very happy that they served chip spice on the table to go with your chips,this is my favourite.The chicken was soft and juicy and the milkshake tasty. My suggestion to this place would be more helpful waiters that can make menu suggestions and dont look at you like they have no idea what you just asked them when you ask them is there a rib and prawn combo. Which brings me to my next point. The menu needs more variety,like seafood platters and more desserts,when i come out to dine,i dont consider ice cream sucker on a stick dessert. This place definitely has potential as the food is good.
So I ordered 1/4 chicken. Just a 1/4 chicken for sit down. I got this massive plate of food, but it looked damn good so I ate it.
Some of the tastiest chicken I have had in ages. Honestly Nando's just can't compare. The place was rather busy l, but my waiter was still attentive and at no time did I feel annoyed. Food came out rather quickly and when I finished the plate was removed.
I really can't understand how it has such a bad rating. Give them a try.
I look forward to eating at this place on a weekly basis, management and staff are always helpful.. food has the same consistency (mouth watering). it is always busy, but if you wait the few minutes you will never regret.
I've been to this Adega Express on several occasions and it never disappoints. If you are looking for food that's both delicious and reasonable, then Adega Express is definitely worth a try. My personal favourite dish is the chicken prego along with their in-house chilli sauce - absolutely delicious! I have also enjoyed their Portuguese chicken and chicken livers. This restaurant is definitely a great addition to the Sandton food court. I will be back!
Today been a public holiday, and also looking for something different adega express in fact has done excellent plate of food at a good price. well done. I will be back!!!
We had lunch there and the food was amazing. The restaurant was full but the waiter was so attentive and got a table speedily. We had the calamari heads as a starter which was amazing. We also had the Queen prawns and veggies which we completely enjoyed. The service is very efficient and I'm keen to go back.
The trick is to stop here when they are quiet. I've eaten here numerous times and the very good meals coupled with good service has always been when the restaurant was not full. I cannot fault their food but they tend to lose the plot when it gets busy. We always go for the Portuguese chicken and one of their seafood dishes. Great taste and well prepared.
This has become my favourite lunch place at first I ordered their chicken trinchado OMG to die for absolutely delicious and today I tried the rice chicken the food doesn't feel like that aways but are so homely this is heaven
I highly recommend Adega express at the Sandton Foodcourt even though there are plenty of options to choose from . This is my second visit and the 1/2 chicken and chips combo that I had didn't disappoint. Portions are very decent and full value for money . Good vibes atmosphere because it's in the Foodcourt and decent service !Hope this standard remains ! I will be going back !
This restaurant is almost always full which is to be expected as the food is really tasty. Portions are quite well sized! We had a starter of halloumi cheese (nothing special about it as it is served with a sweet chilli sauce), chicken risoles (amazing!) The prawn curry was really tasty! Service needs a bit of attention but great food!
Was at Sandton City and decided to have a quick lunch an Adega Express. This place is always busy. The manager is very friendly and we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. I ordered the chicken pasta and my husband had the quarter chicken meal. My pasta was a little bland which is unusual as most of the food I have had there before has loads of flavour. I added some of the peri peri sauce to improve the flavour. My Husband's meal was really good. The prices of food is really cheap and portions are huge and value for money.
Had a really nice portuguese grilled chicken at this place. The portion size was quite big. The place is always busy, and perhaps that is why the service was quite slow.
Great idea and it clearly works because it's always packed. Food is OK but the service is slow for an "express." Not my first choice but would probably go back.
If you are looking for tasty food that is easy on the pocket then this is the place to go to. Adega Portuguese chicken is so succulent, and by far the best chicken I've had since I've been in Johannesburg.

Fabulous food fit for a king. I had the perfectly grilled lemon butter Lobster with crispy chips & delectable butternut creamed spinach. Sandton City Adega Express is the best, been going there since Schlotskys closed and never ever had a bad experience. It beats the Adega Restaurants hands down. Ask them about the Steak & Prawn combo….it’s not on the menu, another winner. Keep up the good quality guys.
The food was amazing. Specially trying full chicken mild amazing. The prawns were too good quality and enjoying rugby final was amazing. Happy to see Bokke win the world cup.
The food here is amazing... Such bang for your buck... It can get very busy so be willing to wait in a line... The food is always fresh and prepared to perfection. The service is friendly...
Food is always tasty , make sure you order mild if you can't handle hot food, take a small container of hot sauce if you want an extra kick. Staff a re friendly and food quality is consistent. Order ahead if you know what you want for sit in ,and take away is easy due to the foil packaging.
COVID precious are taken and tablets are sanitised after each sitting.

Amazing Tasting Chicken and Pasta! Adega Sandton has always delivered consistent excellent quality food from my experience over the last few years. Keep it up! Attached are pictures of a full chicken well done with extra sauce and a vegetable pasta. Absolutely divine!
Unfortunately recently found out this place is not NIHT certified (halaal) any longer as under new ownership. But before fully halaal and never had a bad experience over here! Really enjoy their Portuguese chicken paired with the side veg, always ask for extra sauce. The prawn rissoles are really good. The livers with the side Portuguese roll is really good, could have this as a meal instead of a starter as the portion is quite big! Enjoy their meals every time.

The Portuguese steak is wonderful and the meat is soooo tender (surprisingly even better than The Butcher in Nelson Mandela Square) !!!
The Portuguese chicken is another delicious dish I had never seen anywhere else (and their mild sauce is incredibly tasty !)
I ended up coming there multiple times during my stay in Sandton (prices are very reasonable) and I would recommend to anyone looking to avoid the usual burgers in the shopping mall.
