The vibe created with the airport and the airplane was a great idea... makes for a nice vibe and a cool feature. Sometimes there is live music which means there is something for everyone as you can also just sit outside and have something to eat or drink in peace. The food is excellent and you will never regret a pizza here. Cocktails are also delicious eventhough I prefer the brandy specials👌🏻. Good time for everyone

It's been about 9 Years since I visited Hiflyerz and being silly season it was super quiet, which was just fine by me - Enjoyed their BIG Snack Basket which left one spoilt for choice - YUM!!!

What a nice pub to visit. Great memorabilia and amazing decor. Beer and food was awesome. You can even watch the airplanes land... go and visit

The view is wonderful and the cockpit atmosphere is felt here and you get to see aeroplanes landing at OR Tambo from the balcony here. Service is fantastic by all staff. Food is delish!

Their pizzas are awesome! Try the one with Feta cheese, such an amazing explosion of taste in your mouth! Unfortunately, there must be something wrong with their draught beer, as both me and my friend had stark headaches 1 hour later from just 3 or 4 Black Label Draught. Also no craft beers or exotic variations on tap as mentioned in some reviews, 50% of their taps are down and sealed off. Maybe it's the pipes? Other than that, attentive staff, cool memorabilia, delicious pizza, but please check your draught beer pipes?🍺 😁👌

Very interesting venue close to the Airport. The whole venue has the airport/aeroplane theme with a full cockpit of a real plane from the old SAA - Tafelberg. Very good and tasty good at very reasonable prices. Good service . Nice place to visit especially over a weekend. Will be back soon with the whole family

Lovely pub/restaurant located close to O.R Tambo airport. Any aviation enthusiasts dream Bar. Food is great and the vibe even better. Definitely worth visiting.

One of my favorite places for drinks and dinner. Service was amazing. It is a one of kind aviation themed bar. They have an actual Boeing 747 cockpit in the bar. The only bar on the world to have one. They also have live music which adds to the vibe. The food is good and drinks are not very expensive. Must go if you love aviation or if you just want to have a good time.

The food and atmosphere is amazing. They have a plane cockpit so after a few drinks you can become a real life pilot.

Highly recommended for aviation enthusiasts. There's a lot of aviation memorabilia. The music and vibe is great. If you're looking for a classy bar this is the place to go. They also have live bands on Fridays and Saturdays. The menu is simple which is great.

Honestly and understandably that the club caters to a vaster spectrum of music each night to appease to all the guests. But the beat news of all is they have a majority of old school beats remixed to new bpm which really gets me on my feet and dancing. All in all a great club to go to and especially close an evening at!

We stopped for a Sunday lunch and drink. Music was cool. Service was excellent, we had Lynette serving us. She was a joy!! Drinks were really tasty!! We had pizza an a basket. The wings were a bit dry. Rest of the food was delicious!! Love the atmosphere in the place!! We will definitely be stopping here again!! All the pic of the all the aircrafts and pilots, feeling nostalgic!

Hi-Flyerz Aviation Bar<br/><br/>Not far from the East Rand Mall you will find this extraordinary bar, close to Nicky Beach.<br/><br/>I never thought I would have a beer and be pretty much in the cockpit of a 747, or even in the cabin while my beer is balancing me.<br/><br/>Now if you never thought this was possible then you have not been where I have...<br/><br/>Engine failure in 1992 caused this B-class 747 to be grounded....and this is how this storey took off.<br/>This bar has been built around this 747 cockpit and it's just incredible that when you need step up to the bar or visit the lavatories you pass this amazing 747 cockpit. Then your mind goes into Top Gun mode...<br/><br/>The meals here are very limiting in terms of selection, but the selection that you are faced with is incredible. The food here is top notch, not what you would think to expect from a bar.<br/><br/>The ribs are incredible and the steak is just 747 class.<br/>The meals here are astounding and yes the entertainer application works here as well.<br/>Just make sure on what's on special as due to the altitude... we had a hiccup here.<br/>This experience is pure business class and the views from the nose of the 747 is just as mind blowing.<br/>You will never find food of this quality in a bar!<br/><br/>Every 5 minutes just about there is some activity over the run ways, won't take you long to spot an aeroplane taking off or landing.<br/><br/>Bonus is all the huge planes use the runway strip outside of the Aviation Bar, so you will see lots off huge planes in close proximity here.<br/><br/>I kid you not, my entire afternoon after visiting this amazing place I had the soundtrack from Top Gun playing in the background and I felt like Mavrick!,

The bar itself is pretty cool, with plane pieces and photos everywhere. Other than that, it's not great. The food was pretty awful and the lady that runs the place is far from friendly, actually seems annoyed that you've come to her restaurant.<br/><br/>There were also about 10 people smoking inside the low ceiling restaurant at 1pm, which kind of ruins the vibe if they're trying not to be a dive-bar.<br/><br/>Our sever was lovely though, so props to him! They have a few craft beers, which was nice also. All in all, fine to go here if you're stuck near the airport, but otherwise I don't recommend it.
