Michelo's Pizzeria offers kosher vegetarian food such as salads, pizza and pastas. They keep the highest degree of kosher, known as Chalav Israel. They have recently opened up a children's play area. I enjoy their food, but I find it average.

If I could Michelos a 0 star rating I would. Customer service not existent. "Solly" is rude and incompetent. Food is overpriced and expensive compared to other kosher restaurants. Avoid this place.

Had take out pizza from Michelos, and I had really heard good things about their pizza from friends. However, I was not impressed at all. Pizza bases were thick and chewy, and burnt on the bottom, and the pizzas also felt needlessly greasy.

Always enjoy the food here, have had the grilled fish many times and always love it. Kosher and a fab Kosher restaurant at that. Always people queuing for pizza takeaway orders too which is a good sign

Service very poor could not care less rude manager has an attitude problem, needs to go for cutstomer service training, slack waiter. Food not bad but needs to stock up, and not tell the customer they dont have the food. Â Very bad mangement

Great and speedy service was dashed by oily pizza that smells like two minute noodles. On top of this the food is extremely expensive (as with any kosher restaurant). <br/><br/>All in all, I am underwhelmed by this establishment. Kosher food in South Africa needs a huge make over, to put it frankly!

Michelo's pizza is so greasy, but SO delicious. As oily as it is, it is so good, and I really enjoy their pizza, pasta and sushi, too. A great kosher place for the family.

The ambiance of this restaurant is very nice, but the rest of it SUCKS! The food is very average, pizzas are very inconsistent, VERY OILY!!! The oil drips off it as you eat it. However, for me the worst part of the few bad experiences i have had here is the management. They are so arrogant and they take every issue personally like you have insulted their mother! Come on guys, go look at how non kosher restaurants run and get a clue!

Love their Tuna Lasagna. Restaurant itself feels a bit cold but I'd return for the lasagna! Takeaways from there were disappointing as lasagna was burnt so I'd rather go there and eat in future.

Kosher dairy restaurant (no meat products on the menu). There's a large selection of pizza (be aware pizza's are not wood fired) and pasta. Also, pasta's aren't served with Parmesan cheese (kosher Parmesan being exorbitantly expensive). There's a wide enough menu with enough variety for everyone. But there's nothing that makes the place memorable. Service was atrocious at my last visit with the manager trying to justify it with every excuse in the book. Food was bland and tasteless. Waitress couldn't cope at all. A wholly unpleasant experience.<br/>Update - June 2017<br/>I'm actually amazed that this establishment is still open!! <br/>Just called for takeaways and half the stuff we want is not available due to a cream shortage. The only reason we're ordering from here is because it's the closest place to us. Nowhere else seems to be experiencing the same problem with lack of ingredients but this place always seems to have some issue or other. Why people still bother is beyond me!!

This restaurant is not great. Sadly for a pizzeria, the pizza is too oily and made me feel ill after not even having half. The pasta is nice though. But there are better kosher options available.

This kosher restaurant is nestled away just off Northfield Avenue. I would recommend you give it a try if you are vegetarian and not kosher. They have a very good variety of pizzas and pastas (which are average), salads (I would recommend the grilled vegetable salad) and a vegetarian burger. I would definately suggest that you try this burger as it is filling and has a great taste and texture. It is also accompanied by a heavy-hand side of chips.<br/>Â <br/><br/>From my experience I feel that it is one of the best burgers in town!<br/>Being vegetarian I find it quite easy to eat out and I am always looking for the best bunch of meals in the country which are vegan or vegetarian.

Averagely speeded service , And my pizza was undercooked and had a hard piece of plastic in it ... wasn't impressed . I have had nice meals there like the soup but won't have pizza for a long while .... At least the tap water was good
