This restaurant is located in what amounts to not much more than a hole in a wall. Atmosphere is therefore non descript. You can eat in but they not geared for it and I wouldn't recommend it. I'll usually phone in and collect but this month end still ended up waiting a good 9 minutes. They were busy. Worth the wait though. Pizza is on point. Getting a little pricey but pizzas are big. I battle to finish a medium.

The service, efficiency and friendliness is always on point! The Pizza is of a consistently high quality and absolutely scrumptious. Every time I have placed an order and went to retrieve it I am pleasantly welcomed and tended to. Great service and food guys! Keep it up!

Marietjie and I stopped here after court and shared one of their 27 sliced pizza which can be divided into 3 halves. One halve we had just cheese, the second halve was with chicken and the third halve had those pilchard fish and olives. I didnt like the third halve so I stuck to the other two halves. Marietjie had 14 slices and I ate the rest. Those pilchard fish made Marietjie thirsty so we shared a bottle of white wine. She slept all the way back to home which wasn't ideal because she was driving.

After being a regular for nearly 5 months since we moved to Norwood I have decided not to ever ever ever support your business again.
Maybe it would be an idea to cherish your regulars!
Especially if you can't be consistent in your own rules. Been coming weekly and sitting outside on the terrace around the corner with the dog (small) just lying under the table not near the entrance, front door or kitchen. Now all of a suddon an issue.
But the way it was said: grumpy, snappy and very unfriendly.
Great way of treating your customers.
Especially if your restaurant is only filled by 25% the most of the time.
Pizza's are good. The rest of the menu not so, must admit we ate there because it was easy for us. Take away takes forever. Call Well Well Well in advance!
Finally for people wanting a ten out of ten service and some real italian food, i recommend tortellini d'oro at the end of the street.

Over the last while Ive become concerned by the service and ease of purchasing food from Nonna Mia’s in Norwood (phones often don’t work).
Whilst their food has been good over the years it has never ever been of a such a quality that makes other pizzerias food seem like “rubbish”.
Last night Went to the restaurant to share - with Johhny the Nonna Mia’s manager - that I’ve been ordering from them for years and was concerned by how long it was taking to order a pizza that evening and that same pizza from Andicio’s took mere moments.
I was floored when I was met with absolute contempt and aggression when he says “well enjoy your food there because we don’t make rubbish – you’re welcome to go to Andicio because we don’t make rubbish.”
Never have I been handled in such a contemptuous manner by any business, especially where I’m politely giving feedback in the presence of my family.
Despite my years of ordering pizza and pasta from them I’m absolutely appalled and offended by Johhny at Nonna Mia and will never go back to this restaurant and will ensure that I warn other against the poor service here and lack of common courtesy.

My wife and I went to the resturant above nonnamia. Called I think grilled. A total fiasco of the first degree. Ordered chicken livers which I was going ti share with my wife. Priced around R 48. When they arrived there were 4 small little pieces of liver. This equates to R 12.per piece. More expensive than prawns. We sent them back. Fir mains we ordered burgers with creamy pepper sauce. The meat patty was a processed piece of mince similar to what you get at mackdonalds. I doubt the meat was fresh as both of us returned home with cramps and runny stomachs. The creamy pepper was no where to be seen. Disgusting food even having returned some food not a manager to be seen .nit an offer if a cup of coffee . Just nothing. Called the manager the next say who assured me the complaint would be followed up by the owner. Have you heard from him because I certainly have not. Never again to support that place nor nonnamias again

Ordered through orderin this evening - so disappointing - you would need a microscope and tweezer to find either the tomato base or the cheese. If you continue like this you will fail in Norwood like you failed in your past 3 venues

Dear Nonna mia! We have supported you for a while now. Your pizzas are great, however eating at your restaurant is a thoroughly awful experience. Tonight, and this is not the first time, we waited 45 minutes for food. 2 pizzas arrived, and the rest of the food 15 minutes later. The two pasta dishes are undercooked. Not al dente - raw! They took another 15 mins to prepare new pasta. The manager it dreadfully sorry, and your waiters are all well trained, but they can't work with an inefficient kitchen. Sorry, we won't be back.

I had a horrible food experience yesterday at the Parkhurst branch but the customer service made up for it. After complaining the manager got back to me within hours to offer me a sincere apology as well as a a free meal to compensate for the experience. Thank you so much Nonna Mia, customer service goes a long way. See you Tuesday for a pizza :)

The first time we had pizzas from the Parkhurst branch they were great , nice size that fitted in the box , good base and adequate spread of toppings , then three weeks later I re-ordered , they were dreadful , the size of the pizza was significantly smaller , base was so thin and toppings very few and far , very disappointed and would love to be able to take this up with the correct person

As expected the food was phenomenal, truly my favourite... but being shoved in a corner - against the bar - with anyone and everyone rubbing up against my friends' face was a major upset. I would truly suggest accepting fewer clientele when the restaurant is full . One should treat the seated customer as gold. . . It was super unpleasant and I doubt I'll be back soon.

Shocking experience. Went with my parents only to wait am hour for our pizza... And get the wrong order. Manager just says they forgot the order but we asked so many times where it was. Pity, could have been a lovely evening.

This restaurant in Norwood came highly recommended however I am very disappointed.
My friend and I ordered a vegetable and beef lasagne last weekend. The presentation of the food looked unappetising, which was further complimented by it's bland taste and poor customer service from their manager.

I phoned in an order for 7 large pizzas from the Norwood branch and used the internet to decide which ones I wanted and worked out what the cost would be. When I got there the bill was over R200 more expensive that what I had worked out. The person helping me (maybe the manager) said that I had used the wrong site and that the prices were outdated. I have now checked and when you do a google search the first few sites all have the wrong prices. How is the customer supposed to know which site has the right price? Also, there was no attempt to make a customer happy by perhaps giving a discount or an apology! I would suggest that you put the menu with the correct prices on your own website so that this doesn't happen to any future customers. I think that would be a customer friendly way of doing things.
