Very nice place, friendly staff, food was good, I enjoyed the lamb shank, our concern about the desert was properly addressed by management giving us a very good experience at the restaurant, I would recommend this place to everyone. There is also a kids play area so the kids were occupied

The staff was super friendly and courteous. Very classy vibe and the food was delicious. Prawns and shrimps were very tasty. I liked the spices added to all the food, especially the chips and chicken, which was cooked superbly soft. I was not disappointed when the dessert menu was presented as a tray with samples of what could be selected for dessert, that's just me though. Some people might like that form of menu

It's a nice huge restaurant that needs people to bring it to life. The food ordered was great! The oysters were huge for a great price. The wine selection was very acceptable but the staff were just awesome! Live music I guess on Fridays and Saturdays. Would return.

This place is so beautiful, and the bar section is so cozy. The food is absolutely amazing! I would recommend their prawns they are cooked to perfection! They can do any cocktail you ask for. This is a really nice place to come with family or friends.

It's a nice family restaurant, kids play in the kids area, chilled live music (there was a skilled guitarist on the night), food is good quality, Portuguese flavoured grills are good. Friendly waitors, good service, they didn't have what we ordered so they made up for it by giving us free desert. Definitely one of our family's favourite.

Awesome place, great vibe and the live entertainment was amazing. Had the lamb chops wasn't the most amazing. . Meat was tough sadly. . Then I had the bar one cake which was presented beautifully but was stale having been refrigerated. Still a great night out though.

Awesome place for the family. Has a kids section as well. Only fault I found was needs proper air-conditioning unit. Food is amazing, was my third time back and this time brought the whole family. Their service was on point as well since we were such a large group they had two waiters attend to us.

The Waiters are super friendly and the service is absolutely fantastic. Quick, respectful, calm. And the Food is awesome... Thanks to everyone at the Restaurant. And the atmosphere they create inside is relaxing all you need after a long days work. Keep it up guys.

Nothing special about the food here. The managers were friendly but our waitress was average and the saxophone player was a little loud for my liking after a hard week. For the price of the food the execution should be better and you should at the very least get a cloth napkin/serviette. I’ve eaten a lot of really excellent Portuguese food that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. You’re forced to buy a kilogram of prawns or have 5 with some other sort of protein. A very tiny portion of chips cost extra (R29) after forking out R269 for a kg of medium (queen??) prawns. We received 2 wet wipes to clean up - no finger bowls. Suuuper average all round for a bill of R710. Would not recommend. Rather go across the road and overpay for good pizza at Col’cacchios.

I had a meal with my folks at Adega recently. We sat down and our waiter immediately started trying to get us to order the 1kg of queen prawns...and kept coming back to it despite what we were asking him to order from the kitchen. 2 of us are also gluten/wheat free and I specifically asked for there to be no gluten/wheat in the sauce. As I am allergic I get a reaction usually within half a minute to a minute of eating it. I only got my reaction about an hour later when we were walking out of the restuarant and I said to my folks, 'my head is spinning, I know there what gluten in that food.' Perhaps I had my reaction earlier as my sensitivity to noise and other people also go up when I have a reaction. They also kept turning the music up. We would have stayed for coffee and desert, but I had such a headache I wanted to get out of there and fast. If I were paying, perhaps the waiter would have got a lower (still 10%) tip and a bit of lip from me. But I wasn't paying and I didn't feel like staying in the restaurant for another minute!! Beautiful restaurant, great manager, great staff and food - unfortunately too sales man type for me...and what was a gluten reaction also became food poisoning for me a few hours later...it took two days to clear with a load of probiotics going into my system to balance everything. No one else at my table seemed to react to the food, gluten yes, but the food was fine otherwise. Disappointing as Adega has been a favourite restaurant of mine for ages. We used to frequent the Greenside branch often when it was still open. I suppose Ocean Basket beats Adega hands down. No sauces, no reactions. Adega now crossed off my list. Just my experience and all the best to them.

Lunch on Saturday ... Raphael our waiter was soo good. Margaritas were frikkin awesome ... The owner/manager was very visible and hands on .. The Panga was yum!! Will absolutely be going back for Saturday live music night.

Wow wow wow.... What a beautiful restaurant. Staff were amazing from getting there. The service was awesome.... First time I have done and I will certainly be back. The food selection was superb and well cooked. The drinks and cocktails were great quality. Amazing experience. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality and our waitress who was on the ball who and also so helpful. You guys ROCK 💗

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Adega Northcliff on Friday night and it was wonderful! The food was tasty and the portions were generous, the drinks were divine and the atmosphere was great. Most of all, the customer service was excellent! We enjoyed the live entertainment. I will definitely recommend this restaurant for date night :-)

Very dissappointed. Chicken liver starter was vile. Seafood platter was below average not what i would expect as portugese flavours the fish praws and calamari all tasted the same. The. Monks steak meal was flavourless. Will we visit again.? NEVER.

food was awful. can't remember the last time i had such powdery prawns. must be frozen!

Prawns were not as good as expected.... All prices billed was way more than the "specials" the waiter advised or recommended... when questioned it was blamed on new menus received the previous day... mxm... the prices on the "new" menus were cheaper than what we were charged!

Amazing staff. Helped my mother while feeling a little under the weather. The food was amazing, cooked to perfection. Next time we will stay for dessert.

It was the perfect setting for a great night out with cold drinks and delicious food
