Absolutely divine! Great food in an even greater restaurant! Friendly staff and a warm atmosphere make you feel very comfortable very fast. Only downside is the parking location, getting back onto the busy road that runs alongside the restaurant can be a bit challenging at times
One of the best restaurants in all of Johannesburg, offering the best in food. It is just sad that they will be closing on the 31st of December.

I can't believe that I have been living here for 14 years and never stopped here for a meal... because the food here was great I loved it, they will most certainly see me again. Contemporary atmosphere.
Exceptional place with great food. Service was great and homie feeling. Can recommend the Tomahawk steak, but be sure to book in advance. ;-)
I had no clue this place existed but I am glad I found it. Probably one of the best steaks I've ever had.
Was fantastic atmosphere, staff was impeccable service, food was fantastic. Only suggestion would had liked a cavery where leg of lamb and roasted meat was cut individually. Was a 5 star Xmas lunch. Well done to all at Founder. You are going to be missed.
An old classic, used to frequent during the late 90s / early 2000s. Was happy to see they are still operating & booked for our 14th Anniversary to take a trip down memory lane...
Excellent steakhouse with some traditional home cooking like just as I remember, excellent steak & lamb. Service was fast & friendly. Ambience was very unique & old school South African.
Good craft selection on tap, however due to Covid stock constraints, Bar area nice, however would recommend the restaurant area for a more romantic / relaxed ambiance esp by the fire place.
Price wasn't cheap but felt the food & evening was worth every Rand spent.
