Nice food, lovely ambience, pleasant staff. All in all perfect Sunday lunch with this new drink orange, pineapple and rosemary drink. Few things we wanted to order from menu were not available hence 4 stars otherwise it's five 🌟.

Nice place for a coffee or a quick meal. Food pretty nice and good service. Reasonably priced. Go there often for breakfast never disappointed. Not bad coffee.

Perfect spot for a lunch time business meal and meeting. Grab a spot under the trees and enjoy the food and fresh air. There is also a wide variety of pastries and cakes available for those with a bit of a sweet tooth.

Always friendly service when at the restaurant. They can get a bit busy during lunch times which increases your waiting time for your food or drinks but the food is tasty.

Great place for a quick business lunch. Fantastic variety on the menu. Had one of their flatbread sandwiches - delicious.

Good food at reasonable price. Enjoy watching my beloved quotas and crooket there on a Saturday.

Food quality is not good for breakfast. Lunch runs seem to be better. Food is on the oily side. Staff members are not enthusiastic when it comes to service

Friendly staff and delicious food. My only issue is that the menu is limited if you don't eat bacon and meat(beef, ribs, etc) and they don't allow substitutions, yet you paying the same amount for essentially a vegetarian meal

Not a great experience. Came for coffee and WiFi. They give these little slips with login credentials for the WiFi. After receiving 5 different slips that didn't work, the waiter seemed to have given up on my WiFi aspirations completely. The coffee is not bad. Service was terrible and the place felt dirty - the glass and floors were both in need of a thorough cleaning.

Waited 30 minutes with no service before receiving my bill, . And the coffee cost R29 which is far too much for the quality of coffee.

Service: 0.5/5
Food: 1.5/5

We arrived here at 13:30 and the restaurant closes at 16:00. We got stared and glared at by the waitresses outside when we asked for a table for 2. Our waitress was unhelpful, unfriendly and just seemed so angry at us for being there. We don't even know her name because she never introduced herself or had a name tag. I ordered a toasted chicken mayo and a hot chocolate, and my boyfriend ordered the

Mexican chicken flat bread with a cuppuccino. When our drinks arrived, they were undrinkable because of how hot they were. Later when our food arrived, it was ice cold and I maybe had a total of 6 chips on my plate. (I didn't say anything about the chips but I complained about how cold the food was - our waitress said nothing and just took the food back and warmed it up) There was another woman who had complained about her food and the manager was so defensive and was arguing with the lady. When she left, the manager stood outside the restaurant loudly making fun of the woman with the waitresses.

It's nice to know how seriously ninos management takes customer complaints.

Never going back there, your food is over priced and the service is shocking. Thanks but no thanks.

Nino's has a good ambience, a good service, Verity of a menu as well. If you want to try delicious peri peri chicken, Nino's is a good option. But I was highly disappointed by the strawberry cheese cake.

I had the chicken peri peri tramezzini which was ok. Bread was fresh. My gf had the chipotle pulled chicken and being Mexican, she identified that it wasn't chipotle but just tomato sauce and chilli. She was not happy with her meal and left most of it. Also , server did not offer us a top up on the coffees we ordered and instead took our cups away. Only later on, when reading the cards on the table , did we realize that top ups were free.

I had a meeting here last week and as I sat down, noticed one or two couples enjoying a meal but for the most part it was quiet.

Nino's is named after an Italian called Nino Bompani. Bompani had a trademark of cooking everything in butter (rather than oil) which is a tradition that still continues to this day and not allowing chips to be added to ANY meals, which is sadly a tradition that he could not keep off the South African menus it seems.

I requested a glass of red wine and got settled in to study the expansive menu before me. The wine was terrible and I ended up ordering a glass of water instead to drink. However, my Mexican Chicken Open Sandwich was delicious! Think spicy grilled chicken breast, served with jalapeños, avocado and cream cheese. I was impressed with both the portion and the presentation for only R65.

Apart from the terrible wine, my meal was actually good value-for-money and the service wasn't too bad either! I am not sure that I would go back though simply because for me, there was nothing that really stood out.

For more, find me on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter: LaurasWorldza

Ninos's latte price hiked up to R32? What the actual F$%#?
And it is seriously average coffee. I can walk into Woolworths, get a tall cafe late for even LESS than that and get superb coffee.

Good for a light meal or breakfast. They have recently changed the menu to have some interesting items but it is rather limited in terms of vegetarian options. They do have a wide range of cold coffees and other sugary drinks.

This is a great place to grab great pizza or pasta or a light meal for lunch. Gets a bit crowded during lunch time to please are your you get there early to get a great table. What I like about this place is that there is free WIFI yes free so it's just amazing.

You can catch on emails over a good meal with being distracted from being at the office.

After a very late night, we stopped in here for breakfast. It's pretty much your stock standard Nino's in terms of atmosphere and design. Our waitress was pretty friendly as well.

Our breakfast came pretty quickly, I chose one of their more simple/small breakfasts. I was pretty impressed with the portion size considering the cost. It felt like pretty good value - nothing mind blowing but it certainly hit the spot!

They still don't know that smoking is not allowed inside or outside I'm inside and all the folks in join the outside smoking. The smoke blows inside,
Back here agsin last time the whole place stinks of smoke .. distgasting

Won't go back there. Been twice over last few weeks. They are trying to save money by short changing customers with very small helpings of chips.

Sat for 10 minutes and eventually called my own waiter. Ordered but they forgot that and asked again. Put my card out and now waiting another 10 minutes for someone to come with a machine. Everyone looks super busy ... perhaps if I just left someone would notice me?

Had a lunch date at Nino's yesterday. The date really sucked but the food was really good. I ordered their ribs and wings and the ribs were really saucy. They have a really great hot sauce that isn't too hot but has just the right bite and complemented those ribs really well. I definitely plan on visiting this outlet again to try out more of their grills.

Nino's in Rivonia was a bit of an average experience. From the cocktail menu, I could only order between two choices because some of the staff didn't know how to make what I had originally chosen. The pasta I had wasn't the greatest but because hunger; I gobbled it all up. Maybe next time, I'll get my Mai Thai

We went for breakfast. I had a chai tea, i didn't enjoy it as it was incredibly sweet and it seemed like normal tea bag tea with milk. I want my chai with steamed milk. Not something i can make at home.
Anyway, their Nino's eggs benedict was really nice. Plenty avo. Plenty bacon.
Boyf's breakfast was not bad either. Can't remember what it was. Their coffee is definitely better than their tea.
Service should definitely be looked at. We had finished our drinks. Plates had been cleared. We waited 15 - 20 minutes for our waitress before we got up and walked inside to find someone to settle our bill.

My colleague suggested we go to Nino's for lunch as it is conveniently close to our office. I was pleasantly surprised. The menu had a nice selection, there are some healthy options, and the food itself was very tasty. The staff are friendly, service was quick and the outdoor patio was a great place to enjoy a lunch break. Overall experience was very pleasant, suggested for work lunch breaks and quick bites as it is not a stand out restaurant but does deliver nice food in quick time.

Nice place, fairly simple, but prices are very reasonable. Nothing special on the menu but great if you fancy a lunch on a budget.
Location is good as it's right next to rosebank mall.

Very disappointed. Our food came before our drinks. They did not bring us honey and syrup for our food (porridge and French toast) until 5 minutes after when the food was cold. When we asked for anything it can late. Not impressed at all. Won't be coming here for breakfast again. Poor service.

I come here often. Always a great vibe and good food. But the staff need to jack up their attentiveness. They seem to avoid eye contact and customers have to shout to get their attention. There are so many staff members there I don't know why they can't be on ball with every customer.

I went on a Sunday afternoon when there are not so many people. The staff was very friendly that always carried a smile on her face. Food was quick and good too.

I was told today as a long standing, loyal customer, by the owner of Ninos Rivonia that he DOES NOT NEED me as a customer!
All because I tried to sit down at his outside area with my dogs, which I have been doing for the last 4 years!
For an industry that relies upon custom and patronage to survive, I found his attitude to be the rudest, most arrogant and extremely shortsighted one for someone in his position. When I asked him why he was being so rude and aggressive towards me, I was told to go eat elsewhere else where they like dogs, as he does not need me as a customer! And further went on to try and intimate I was the sole reason for the health department wanting to take away his license? Firstly, the man did not know who I was so how could I be single handedly responsible for anything to do with him and his store, and secondly the health department?? What a load of crud!

Sure, maybe one customer won't break his bank today..... but time will tell who is deserving of business and who is not.
Considering I have been frequenting his establishment for 4-5 years on a daily basis, with my clean, well behaved dog, spending on average R90 a day (adds up to close on R100 000) over the years, you would think he would be a little more careful with his long standing custom? My custom is not NEEDED or APPRECIATED????? This man has rocks in his head, as my custom over the years PAID FOR HIS SHOP RENOVATION!!!! What a bombastic, thick attitude!
I have never encountered such blatant arrogance in the service industry... times have changed!

Purely for this reason I will be suggesting to others (there are quite a few) NOT to frequent this man's establishment with it's over-priced food and drink, shoddy service on the whole (one always had to try get a waitron to notice one to get service), bad attitude towards customers in general and an owner that certainly thinks he is above and better than everyone around him! Word of mouth is still a powerful tool, and knowing a few of the right people in the industry helps too.
I certainly am putting my energy into watching the demise of the nino brand in the future. My custom is not needed..... laughable at best!

Just love their Social Bean Breakfast - a great early morning on the go For R10 which you cannot beat anywhere ! Great for an early morning coffee before work or a glass of wine late afternoon under the trees ... Good value for money
Gary Greenberg
When it comes to value for money this is the place to go for a quick and easly breakfast. The social bean special is still on and eventhough it is a little more expensive (R10 for a meal when you order a hot drink) it is still worth sitting back, relaxing and getting your day kick started.

This brand of normal food is not my favourite. It is far costlier than wimpy, yet the quality of food is on par. The decor is bland and seating is not comfortable. Generally the chips are good, but that's not reason enough to go there. With Mugg & Bean close by or the Woolies Cafe (at similar prices) I would rather go there.

Nino's in Rivonia is a great spot for lunch if you work in the area, not really a spot you'd go out of your way to, as with any franchise. They have a varied menu that has something for everyone in it. I like their pasta and pizzas. This branch gets busy during peak/lunch time (12-2pm) and service does slow down a bit - so book a table if you have a lunch meeting here. They offer free WiFi, so a deciding factor over other restaurants nearby.
