Such a quaint place. Overall very cute little place, would definitely recommend to pop in when in the area.
Decor is just lovey and is my favorite part of the restaurant.
Only tip I can give would be to add a little more seasoning to the food, we ordered the pulled pork and spice beef pizza, I had to add salt, it was still pleasant and enjoyed it none the less.
I quite enjoyed getting to see the pizza being made fresh.

Awesome service! The staff were super friendly ,and the food was delicious . We sat watching the chef cook through the kitchen opening and he was super friendly . The food is presented like an artwork and was every bit amazing. Decor super trendy and cool , while the restaurant had a warm atmosphere, especially with a fire burning in the fire place on a super chilly Joburg day. Great place to eat.

This is a lovely spot for groups and for individual dining. I found it very romantic and it was warm with a fireplace in the cold winter evenings. Great customer service and friendly stuff. The food is delicious 🤤😋

Had family in town, and this was the one restaurant they requested visiting multiple times. Awesome food and an atmosphere plus service to match! The small plates are great for sharing along with a bottle (or two) of wine from their killer wine list. The staff are super friendly as well and a good chat. Easily one of the best spots on Melville's main strip!

Well done to James and the team for another great restaurant experience from the creator of Coobs in Parkhurst. The setting and menu is evoking a U.S diner feel and is a new fresh restaurant on the Melville strip. The food is delicious and well presented from the small but well selected menu and service is fantastic. A lovely experience.

La Stalla’s delicious breakfasts and all-day meals are all sourced by the Brightside Farm in the Magaliesburg Mountains, which brings the sustainable and commercial food elements together in a rustic, and farm like environment. Breakfasts are super affordable and inventive!

Walking by this quaint Cosy spot we where approached by one of the waiters standing by the door inviting (more like luring us in, wink wink) With there cocktail and draught special, that definitely got our interest. But because it was a little early to start drinking we promised to come back after breakfast.
So as promised after breakfast we strolled back down to this place to see what these specials where all about.
We had an amazingly friendly waiter who engaged us with good general chit chat, and set a very comfortable vibe....
Cocktails where 25% off, I ordered a berry daiquiri which was tasty to the T, definitely coming back for that, then my mom ordered the Kir Royale which was pleasant enough, and not too sweet..
Wifi was offered upon seating, street parking, cool set up.

I love their sister restaurant The National in Parktown North. They have the feel of a US diner and the food is excellently prepared. The brisket is the nicest version I have had in recent memory. My friend enjoyed his burger immensely. The wine list has a great selection. Will definitely return.

My husband and I have had dinner at La Stalla twice and were very pleased on both occasions (we enjoyed a cozy table by the fire in winter, as well as a comfortable outdoor table in summer). As a vegetarian, I was pleased with the options and found their homemade gnocchi and Parmesan risotto to be delicious. My husband had their lamb ravioli and a pizza and gave good reviews. We enjoyed the wine selection as well as the ambience which is rustic, casual, and romantic all at once. Both visits were mid-week so not too busy; servers were very friendly but could be a little more attentive.

Very pleasant ambience the developed as the Sunday evening grew late. Friendly and efficient service off a typically interesting Family Diak menu. Each of the meals we ate were nicely cooked flavoursome and a good meal. The only downside was the warmth of the bottles of red wine. A little chilling and we were in business. I wonder about the continued wellbeing of the wine at those temperatures.

Had the most delicious meal at La Stalla! Excellent wine list, cosy atmosphere and the Alfredo Pasta with pulled chicken must be the most incredible pasta dish I have ever had! My new favourite spot! Good job guys!! �
