Nineteen69 is always a joll.
We were there last week Sunday just for a catch up and a few drinks with some friends.
We ordered the chicken nachos (a personal favourite of mine) and they were divine.
A little bit more chicken would be nice as it is quite scarce in the dish and perhaps cut the jalapeno slightly thinner as they are usually quite thick and quite a mouthful in one go, but other than that, 100%.
The service has also gotten a lot better since the last time we were there.
1969 is a great place for Nacho’s and good food, the restaurant has a good vibe and an overall good service, will definitely be back here soon.
Good food, great prices, outstanding service. Pretty much my shortest review ever but there’s nothing else that could explain Nineteen69 in my opinion. A waitress by the name of Lucy/Linda - one of the best!
Great music on a saturday night, excellent vibe for young and old. Good service, great value and cocktail jugs! Food was good and we'll presented. Hit this place up for a laid back afternoon or evening.

So fun for a drink and nice eat after work. Love the music on a Sunday. Such a good vibe. Only issue is all the best seats are in the smoking section. So if you worried about smoke you won't have a good time.
Such a rad spot. Good food and vibe. Service is always good and we always have an awesome greeting from George who goes out of his way to please his customers. Rad spot!!!

A great vibe. Just don't expect them to honour a reservation. Booked and still had to wait 30min since our table had already been given away before our appointment
The food is average to good. Nice drinking spot and relaxed clientele on a Friday afternoon. The food are priced well and my partner and I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. With wall mounted TV's all around it would be an ideal place to watch rugby or some other sport event while enjoying a couple of drinks with the mates.
This is a good place to go for drinks and some food. If you want the best prego roll in JHB, try their prego with garlic mayo sauce - it's fantastic.
Decor is cool with wallpaper made from 1969 newspapers, but it's not a place one would associate with being the classiest joint in town.
Prices are reasonable, only downside that I've noted is that service is rather slow, but they are friendly
I like this place.
The food was such a pleasant surprise. Really tasty, flavorful and nicely presented. Yum.
Service was crappy. Some of the clientele was admittedly dodgy. But that's how it goes where there's booze.
Dig the live music but it was a dash too loud.
Nice décor. A very popular place. Looking forward to returning.
