Review Mugg & Bean - Johannesburg

I always have had a good time at this M&B. The service is consistent and the trainees are lovely. Portia (a trainee) was super polite and her service was excellent. The food is fresh and their baked goods never miss. I definitely rate coming here especially after a big shop to have coffee and a bite to eat!

Mugg and Bean Killatney was lovely! I had the trout bagel and it was delicious. Also has a vegan chocolate shake with oat and coconut milk, I will highly recommend it! The staff were friendly and attentive.

I have been going to this Mugg and Bean for the past two years now, the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is consistently good and the atmosphere is welcoming. The fact that they are halaal is a bonus as it allows a diverse range of people to enjoy the Mugg and Bean experience. For those that are not following a halal diet there are great alternatives at this Mugg and Bean that are equally as good so you don't have to compromise on taste.

Such an amazing restaurant! As someone whose always looked for a halaal Mugg&Bean, this one did not let down. The atmosphere was amazing. From the moment you walk in, you get the coffee shop vibes. The scent of coffee brewing, the clink of cuttlery, the murmur of people talking. Beautiful setting, comfortable seating. The staff was brilliant! Instantly assiting you, advising you on their best dishes, asking after your personal tastes, the manager checking in to make sure eveything is on point. Service was quick as well, no waiting one hour for your meal. We ordered the Chicken&Mushroom Pot Pie-> for garage pie lovers, this is it, just, you know, better. Classier. Less soggy pastry and more crisp, buttery, flakiness. And we ordered the Sweet&Spicy Wings & BBQ Rump. The steak was done perfect, the chips crisp, and I don't usually bother with salads but oh boy, the side-salad was GOOD. I suppose, the only thing I would ask for would be more spice. For hot drinks (rainy weather made it perfect) we had a Café Mocha and a serious Cappuccino. Desserts was a slice of Baked Cheesecake and a Choc-Chip Muffin. Cheescake isn't too sweet which is awesome, but it is rich and a generous portion so I'd recommend going with a friend asking for it 'sharing'. Muffin was perfection. Food: 7/10 Dessert : 9/10 Experience: 10/10 Would come back again. Thank you for the amazing time!

I have never had Halal Mugg and Bean before this one in Killarney. I loved it. Each bite - delicious. I am also a huge fan of their bottomless drinks. Real value for money. I can't wait to go back soon and try some more good and well priced food.

Fast, efficient and very friendly service. Keep it up. My visit of today was not as good as the first one. Food took far too long, and the waiter left us idling for very long before taking our order, bearing in mind the restaurant was not so busy.

Food was delicious, vibes were good. Lovely and very fulfilling meal. The view of the highway with the passing cars just adds to the experience. The halal menu has a good variety. Overall very pleasant experience

Being a vegetarian makes it a bit difficult to comment on the food as there isn't a variety to choose from. However Mug &Bean has a bigger variety than most places. Their own in-house salad dressing is simply the best. Service can be improved, whilst staff are friendly service is slow even though the place was not full. Atmosphere was good.

Mugg & Bean: a firm South African favorite. More so when it's Halaal. The Mugg & Bean Killarney has been around for ages, and is now fully Halaal. Their offering is in line with the new and updated menu from M & B and still offering their old favorites such as large cups of their blends of coffee and teas. Sandwiches, burgers and more are made well. Their service on our visit was on point and their presentation is pretty good too. Pay them a visit.
