My boyfriend and I loved every part of this venue and restaurant! Our waiter Ashley brought us water as soon as we sat down without us even asking (SO lovely since many waitrons around Joburg seem unimpressed when you order tap water). The food was delicious and so affordable! We will DEFINITELY be back and will definitely keep this venue in mind for an event!�

Went here for a function. The layout is impressive and the food was of a high quality. The drinks variety could have been more extensive. The concept of a rooftop restaurant is nice but you need to move to the side to get a view of the city.
30.05.2018 Our company hosted a farewell function here. The venue is amazing, it has such stunning sunset views. The staff are friendly and helpful and its a decent sized space to have a function. They do have a normal non-function menu if you want to have a meal here. My photos arent too great of the food as you can't get proper focus with hungry people around lol. I didn't stay for all the food but the Halloumi and Dip was amazing, the Calamari and Chicken strips weren't bad. As i left they were bringing out bowls of pasta and Mini Chicken pies that looked yummy.
Definitely a great sundowner spot. Parking is a bit small, and i wish the security at reception had explained to us first timers how to get out as the guard at the exit wasnt as friendly when we approached closed booms and garage doors.

I found Ferguson’s on 5th from a friends review on my zomato timeline. When I first arrived outside the building I was very confused because there is no sight of the restaurant. I explored a bit and found a door and eventually after going up a few floors I found the restaurant. As soon as I entered I knew that it could be a regular spot for me. The staff was very friendly, but not as freely available as I would have liked. I found myself flagging down my waiter on several occasions. I looked through the menu, but didn’t see anything that caught my eye so I opted for the harvest table. I picked a few things from there and then headed to the scale to weight it. All in all the food I chose needed up being around R80. The potato wedges/ chips were so tasty. I found the chicken to be a bit dry and the rest of the food was okay too. I guess your reaction to the food just depends on what you pick. I found it to be just above average. I had a passion fruit and lemonade to drink- you can never go wrong with this. After walking up and down enjoying the rooftop vibe I decided to go and check out the cake selection. They only had one cake, the decadent cheese cake. I’m not a fan of cheesecake, but when they told me that it arrives 30 min ago and there were only 3 slices left I couldn’t help but order one. I don’t regret it one bit. It was the best cheesecake that I’ve ever had before. So soft and moist! Not too sweet even. My fiend had a salmon sandwich or something along those lines and he really enjoyed his meal. It looked very good also. I love the atmosphere here, it’s so relaxing, but productive at the same time because most of the customers are businessy type of people. Can’t wait to go back!
I had lunch here with a friend on a weekday afternoon. The place is very pretty & the rooftop is perfect for warm summer afternoons. The menu doesn't have a huge variety, but they have a daily lunch buffet which makes up for it. I had the creamy mushroom pasta to eat & asked them to add chicken - it was absolutely divine. My friend had a toasted chicken mayo & avo, which she couldn't stop raving about. Overall, it's a really lovely place to come to for a quick lunch & some fresh air.

The view combined with the food is exactly what modern Joburg is about. Sitting on top of that building with a collection of delicious fresh food from the harvest table, you could be anywhere in the world. First class.
Amazing view of the entire Sandton area. Decent prices and amazing coffee. Great venue for a quiet business meeting, yet in formal enough for a nice family breakfast.

I was pleasantly surprised with Ferguson's 5th Floor when I popped in one late Friday afternoon for lunch. We had hoped to catch the harvest table, but arriving just before 3, it was about to be cleared so we ordered off their a la carte menu.
The menu doesn't offer much of a selection so we both went for their beef fillet. Both steaks were cooked to perfection (exactly as we had requested them) and the side salad was delicious with gratings of parmesan.
I would still like to try their harvest table and will definitely be back even if just for drinks on its beautiful deck.
Great looking venue for parties, good food and harvest table helps for a rush hour. The most important thing that I liked is their team work. I was welcomed and served by Ata... (can't remember the name clearly), throughout the service my table was visited by Ashley and Busani to check on us. Best coffee from the slowest barista in town.

This spot has some great views! If they open it up as a venue to hire, it would be a great spot for a party. The staff were friendly and our food was pretty quick.
The menu is pretty reasonably priced, it had a decent selection. The food looked lovely but did lack flavour. I was a bit disappointed with that. I would go back for the view and to try a few of their other dishes.
I'm pleasantly surprised by this daytime venue! And soon to be open for sundowners, what a lovely view! We had the prawn and avo salad, it was a special, and it was special. Plump and delicious prawns!! I'd definitely come back!

Every dish was delicious with an abundance of fresh ingredients. I would like to return and sample a couple dishes from the menu (even breakfast).
Of course the spectacular view from the deck is unique, never have I seen Johannesburg from this angle and elevation before.
Quite a find, on Melville Road (Illovo-Hyde Park border). Amazing panoramic views of a very green Joburg (unexpected since it's only on the 5th floor). We went for lunch, it was fairly busy, but not heaving, and service was prompt and attentive. The dining area has a really pleasant feel (in addition to the view). The Harvest Table is a fairly limited spread, but tasty and it looks like everything is prepared with care. Delicious penne dish. The homemade (apricot vanilla) ice-cream dessert is very good. Casual, cool, definitely worth a visit.
With the most delicious views and coffee in Jozi, this Fabulous Fifth Floor establishment has to be thee finest spot in town to enjoy your sunrise espresso! Ferguson's has certainly won my heart ❤️ as a "Java with a view" venue!
I haven't had as much of a love affair with the food, although love the idea of the lunchtime harvest table. I feel (hope) that there may be some teething problems that will smooth out with time and I'll happily keep coming back everyday while Ferguson finds his feet ☺👣❤

Value for money! Great service. Great food. Beautiful views. Perfect for business meetings and small work functions. The poached eggs are amazing; smashed avo on toast - to die for; French toast and crumpets just as good. Come and get your coffee on. Highly recommended.
Came here for a quick lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. It was a bit windy, but we still decided to sit outside because you get such a beautiful view of the city. I had the chicken salad which was quite nice, but the portions weren't the biggest. I also decided to try the crumpet snack with fruit, cream and almonds. This was a great choice because it was so fresh and tasty. Will definitely come back again soon to try their breakfasts.
Visited Ferguson's for a team lunch & I can only imagine how beautiful it is at sunset...stunning view of sandton. They've got an al a carte menu but also a harvest table. When I went the harvest table was 'make you own' burgers & tacos...had a decent selection of fillings...i just had a beef patty with cheese and peri peri sauce...was good. Also had a really good custard slice for dessert 👌🏽
We had a staff farewell lunch at Fergusons, disguised as a site visit as a possible venue scout after reading about it in a blog. Let's just say it didn't dissapoint. This hidden gem has a view to die for. An almost 360 degree view of our beautiful joburg sky line. The friendly staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. I had the harvest table lunch - curried chicken, roast veg with a delicious tomato sauce, accompanied by a salad with the most creamy and mouth watering avo and feta ever - were my choice of the beautifully laid out spread. My Colleagues had the heaped chicken salad, with shredded chicken, mayo and parmesen cheese which looked equally delicious. We had a great afternoon and will definitely be back. They dont have a liquor licence as yet, but when they do it will be the perfect spot for sundowners while enjoying a beautiful highveld sunset. #fabulousFergusonsOn5th

Amazing restaurant, the whole concept and idea of the restaurant is amazing. The view is spectacular with a perfect sunrise. The food was really good, everyone enjoyed it. They were able to cater for 3 different groups of people who were all having parties with lots of people. The waiters were really attentive and helpful.
Definitely recommended for blind dates or romantic outings. The only "complaint" is that because it's more of a bar, the menu is very limited but the food is still great.

The place has a cosy atmosphere. What surprised me is when I saw them offer blankets (throwers) for customers when it got chilly. The view from outside is pretty decent as seen below.
