Cool atmosphere, cocktail specials available at selected times and still make them well. Also close to many other restaurants and bars in the area.

This place is really great. The vodka is so nice and smooth, and I love that there are bartenders who take the time to explain the different vodkas to you as well as recommend which ones could go down nicely. The food is also so delicious. One thing that could be improved is the service - very slow (when ordering food), and the waiters aren't particularly friendly. Otherwise, great place, great vibe, will definitely go again :)

Visited this place with a group of friends on a Friday afternoon during happy hour. Superb cocktails at a reasonable student price! Great looking place, quaint and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and bantered along with us! Great experience. Will definitely go back!

Decent bar with a wide variety of vodka available. Great cocktails and drinks at decent prices as well. The fries are especially great. All in all a great place for a few drinks and a bite to eat.

This place is amazing. I wish we had places like this in Europe. Personally I think if we did i's be priced out of them anyway. A very classy establishment. The staff are attentive, prices are fantastic and the atmosphere is electric, very friendly. Its where the beautiful people go. Keep it up.

It's a cosy joint with a decent selection of vodka and cocktails. You can also hire a hubbly bubbly and if you're there between 4 and 6 pm you should hit happy hour. Had a good time but the good friends I was with had more to do with that.

Amazing, The bar is set on one of Johannesburg's oldest neighborhood's like the surroundings the bar has been upmarketed in a very hip manner, you could catch some texturial tunes playing in the background on average, or a groovy deephouse session on a thursda night played by Eligi or Decastro something you'd fine quite often in USA. Best cocktails ever, cheaper than most cocktail bar made with the finest ingredients. the owner Roman, coolest bloak on the plannet. Happy hour from wednesdays to Sundays 17:00pm-20:00pm all cocktails are R29!!!

Great spot to enjoy cocktails with friends. Awesome drinks special from 4-6 and gets an awesome vibe in the evening. Need to work on the bathroom though

It’s definitely a type of place where you can drink and have really good tapas! I love the ambience. They do compete with the music from Shakers, but it’s a revolutionary place!

A funky small bar with the most delicious cocktails! A great place to start, end or spend the whole evening here. The staff was extremely nice and inviting.

This vodka bar has an energy and an attitude. For a place that is primarily focused on Vodka, they have got a serious vibe going! I loved the idea of having these frozen vodkas which vary from the basic Russian Standard to the more exotic Beluga. So, if you are in the mood to catch some art, hang out with friends, enjoy some good vodka and vodka based cocktails for the uninitiated, this is the place. By the way, loved the art of Lenin wearing headphones above the DJs booth.

I've been to this spot a few times, always a great place to have a drink, great selection, great vibe. The music tonight was mid 90s early 00s, perfect for a chilled Sunday evening.

Second time I've been here and I still love it. The music is awesome the cocktails are awesome and really decently priced. None over the price of R50 and the food is absolutely amazing. They play whichever game of sport is most wanted on the day as well. I will be back there again. Really one of the underrated places in maboneng

Love the vibe and the service. Great setting - have been twice but not eaten - but my experiences have been really enjoyable. Yesterday I took my team to rescue them from a dreadful experience at Pata Pata.

I have been to Lenin's a couple of times for their delicious and well priced cocktails, as well as having a bite to eat and have always had a pleasant experience. <br/>This evening friends and I arrived (starving) at 8:30, asked if they could organise us a table outside (which the really lovely waitron did). <br/>After waiting an hour for our very average  food and had a couple of rounds of cocktails we asked for the bill. We paid and all was good until the very rude manager (I assume) came out and almost shouted at the waiter "oh so they all paid separately and on card" . I went inside to the bar and confronted this awful man about his ill manner, he very aggressively responded to me in the most inappropriate way that I was left shaking. <br/><br/>To whomever owns Lenin's, I strongly advise you to get a new manager!

Tucked away among trees with lights wrapped around them, Lenin's is a lucky find. They boast an impressive alcohol menu with vodka from around the world. Their food, although quite expensive, is delicious. I highly recommend the bacon and blue cheese burger! During my second visit, the music was not as good as I recall it being, but it did seem to pick up during the night. The theme of the restaurant itself and the atmosphere is great!

My new favourite spot in Maboneng. The outside spot is splendid and their food is really good and decently priced. I had the bacon cheeseburger (would highly recommend it & my friend had a salad which was really tasteful too. The cocktails were amazing and they have a wide variety. Wanna come back to taste the calamari.

Such a cool place to relax and have a few drinks. Right next door to a bicycle store with greyhounds (yes the dogs) all adding to the atmosphere. Lenin's is a very cool spot. I had their flatbreads with caramelised onions and blue cheese - yummy in my tummy - and I also had their chicken wings - delectable. All in all, it was a good experience. Very friendly staff and attentive management.

Great vodka based cocktails. We've managed to work our way through most of them on our many stops here- my favourite is the Woo Woo but I'm yet to have one I dont like. Awesome stop for a sundowner on a Sunday afternoon.

Lenin's Vodka Bar is my favourite bar in Jozi. It always has a great atmosphere and they serve up some of the best cocktails around. Mavis is also one of the friendliest and most attentive bar gals around. Do yourself a favour and pop in for a white russian.

Lovely music and a great selection of giant rainbow coloured cocktails at a fair price that axes thoughts of trying any of the other bars around, even though we didn't eat the meals being served around us looked fantastic.

I like this little hidden bar located in Maboneng... The happy hour cocktails are great and cater to any fancy... The burgers are great too... Definitely good for a chilled night out in the city...

Welcoming, quaint little spot with just the right kind of vibe and set up. <br/><br/>The bar staff are really really great, and very knowledgable on the various varieties of vodka on the menu.  <br/><br/>This definitely is a must visit for a few drinks with the mates or even a nightcap with the beau.

A very hiden place from the buz and hype of the maboneng present. I almost forgot I was in Maboneng, which was not a good thing for me because I drive down town for that beautiful ambience. I am not sure if I would go back given the other restaurants I could visit in the area.

Enjoyed a relaxing Sunday afternoon here. Great vibe , good food.. Service could have been a little bit more prompt, but on the whole it was great experience.

Happy Hour. R29 cocktails. I had a whole lot of Moscow mules but thought they minged on the vodka toward the end of happy hour. Will definitely return for the shots of Stoli. When you're around Maboneng Lenin's is a must. Not in the hustle and bustle, chilled vibes. Did not have any food but the burgers looked nice. Dasvidaniya!

Lenin's is fast becoming my FAVOURITE Sunday chill spot in Maboneng. My Sunday's usually include a walk around the market and either a trip to poolside or the Living room... But lately I have been skipping all the other trendy spots to park of at Lenin's, the vibe is so cool with people from all walks of life sitting under pretty trees and enjoying great Tapas and cocktails.<br/>Do try the sweet potato fries and the Lamb meatballs... Cocktail wise everything is good (yes, everything!)

Amazing drinks for good prices. The music is always amazing. The general atmosphere is nice; it's not directly facing the street. Constantly impressed with each and every visit.

Was there on Saturday evening to celebrate a birthday and it was amazing! There's indoor and outdoor seating, the vibe is great, the food delicious and the cocktails out of this world - and very reasonable! We'll definitely be making this a regular occurrence

A bar devoted entirely to my tipple of choice, Lenin's Vodka Bar definitely had me at hello! I pop by whenever I'm in the Maboneng Precinct and I've spent many a lazy Sunday afternoon here, sipping on one of their delectable cocktails. If you prefer your vodka neat, their bar menu boasts a rather impressive selection, with over 40 different types of vodka from across the globe on offer. Vladimir would be proud. <br/><br/>Nazdaroyva comrades!

Finally a joint dedicated to vodka lovers like me! So hidden in the streets of Maboneng is Lenin's really pocket friendly prices on cocktails and all other drinks... So if you've been walking around Maboneng all day and you are parched... Think of this place as your very own oasis.

Got to try this hidden gem on Saturday and immediately got involved with the 'Happy Hour' specials (R29 on all cocktails), thereafter I started sampling some of the vodkas from their massive selection. The owner is very knowledgeable and his staff were really friendly. I ate the bacon cheese burger and thought it was world class, can only criticize by requesting they make a signature vodka sauce of some kind to add on the side for those of us that like a messy burger also loved the sweet potato fries option. My girlfriend wasn't a huge fan of the frozen margarita but I rather enjoyed my Chernobyl cocktail. Will def be returning to dive deeper into that awesome Vodka menu.Fawn Rogers

I feel like a bumped into a gem of a bar, I had an incredible time on Sunday during cocktails happy hour(every cocktail was R29) . The bar tenders were very friendly, making our cocktails flair. I had a mojito, long island and Lesego BabyLee Puso's New love the bloody Mary. The music was on fleek (always wanted to say that...fleek). Although we did not eat we popped in to check out the vibe after dinner elsewhere. The batman was super friendly and helpful making excellent recommendations of vodka shots and cocktails. Will definitely be back.

What's not to love about Vodka? ;) Often I find bars relatively similar, and the only real deciding factor is proximity for the peeps who will be joining. This time around, a unique location was needed for a good friends 30th, and them knowing the owner of this joint assisted in this decision too. In my typical paranoid fashion, I don't really enjoy the drives into Maboneng, but once there, I could not have felt safer and happier! <br/><br/>What's different about this spot? They have a vast selection of Vodka, and the barista's are rather knowledgeable about the finer nuances and matching your taste to their particular collection of vodkas used in their drinks. Also a huge plus, different and yummy food to line your stomach with while embarking on a world tour through vodka! Make sure you try the flatbreads.. and their chips are the best ever. <br/><br/>If you aren't one for vodka, their cocktail menu is amazing, with quite a few unique drinks on it, and again the barista's are rather knowledgeable and assist in picking out something you'll like. They are more than willing to make anything to order - and in this case, it was some typical SA shots for our UK friends. <br/><br/>Quite a casual vibe, and a choice to sit outside, at the bar, couches or at a table. I'd definitely be back, and make sure you arrange to Uber or have a designated driver, especially if Vodka tasting :)

I could not believe my luck when I stumbled across Lenin's Vodka Bar in Maboneng. <br/><br/>The word “vodka” comes from the Russian word “Zhiznennia voda,” which means “water of life.” I am going to avoid the ongoing debate about whether Russia or Poland is the originator of vodka and just get onto the vast vodka offerings at this little spot! <br/><br/>Lenin's on Commissioner Street breaks down its vodka options into countries:<br/><br/>1. Canada<br/>2. Finland<br/>3. France<br/>4. Holland<br/>5. Italy<br/>6. MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE: Poland and its Wyborowa (Exquisite* if you can afford it)<br/>7. Russia<br/>8. Sweden<br/>9. I love Lenin's Vodka Bar..!! A fantastic bar in the Maboneng Precinct with an absolutely scrumptious menu.. As well as a great selection of craft beers, cocktails and coffees to go with the food. We caught the Gautrain into town and then made our way to Lenin's which made it an even better experience!! 🎉<br/>We had the sweet potato fries and fried calamari which were both out of this world.. They came with delicious mustard and cheese dipping sauces.. Which were awesome. We also had a cheese and onion flat bread (was sort of like a pizza) which was amazing.. As well as a platter with hummus, olives, feta cheese and plain flat bread for dipping. I honestly couldn't tell you which meal was the best because they were all great..!! Awesome vibe.. Fantastic food.. Great area.. I will definitely be going back!! Full marks!! 🍺

If you are planning on paying Maboneng a visit, you much give Lenin's a try. With a more laid back attitude than the sometimes pretentious Arts on Main, but still oozing coolness and sophistication, Lenin's Vodka Bar is a great place to end off your weekend. <br/><br/>Their cocktails are delicious - I highly recommend you give their Greyhound and Lemon Drop a try. Their iced coffee with Amarula did nothing for me, you're better off sticking with their vodka options.

Lenin's is definitely my new favourite spot to hang out. The cocktails are amazing: the bar guy really knows his stuff. And they have a happy hour where all cocktails are R27! <br/>The decor and atmosphere is moody and ambient, and the food platters are surprisingly delicious! I would recommend their snack platters and flatbreads any day. As for their cocktails, you can't go wrong with a good old White Russian, or their yummy Siberian. If you're brave enough, try a shot or two from their selection of frozen vodkas!

"Happy Hour" 17:00-20:00. Any vodka cocktail for R27.00 I'm sold. The joint is sort of like a hidden gem at Manoneng. But if a quiet time is what you looking for and still want a nightlife experience, then this is the place.
