I absolutely love this quaint little place with a lot of character. The food is amazing. A wide selection of dishes including vegan (the Buddha Bowl is a must try). Fresh, good quality vegetables, fruit and ingredients are used. The cakes are freshly baked and delicious. Even the flat breads are baked by this eatery. You are spoilt for choice in the variety of cocktails, gourmet milkshakes, smoothies, freezos, salads (with many amazing combinations) and cake selections. It is a very peaceful, warm atmosphere with live jazz style music on Friday nights. Definitely a gem in Benoni run by people with style, taste and a passion for what they are doing.

A true hidden gem. Breakfast and lunch Tuesday to Sunday, and dinner on Friday's. Hidden away in the bussiness park you will be plesantly supprised by the venu. The staffs friendly greeting makes you feel at home the instant you walk i the door. The service is great and the food is fantastic ( There is a tad of wait as the food is prepared fresh) this wait is part of the experience and ambiance. This is a great venue to meet and socialise with friends and family. This is a must visit place!

Good value for money encompassing great food, service and ambiance. Very relaxed feel bring a book and chill or have a meeting. They are versatile like that.

Wonderful Eatery, very reasonable pricing. Good service very friendly well looked after. Limited menu but excellent food. We had the Thai chicken curry. Best ever!!! Definitely going back. Is a great after work drinks & Gin drinks relaxing place. Beautiful atmosphere

The carrot cake is as delicious as the reviews suggest, and there seems to be many meatless dishes too! I look forward to bringing some vegetarian friends. The service was exceptional, we were treated like stars despite rolling up in a chev spark. I'd love to see the outside area in the summer. The signage does make the place hard to spot (it looks like a spa sign) but it is a sweet looking venue once inside.

What a great experience, the staff are friendly and eager to help, the drinks are out of this world and the food.... 🤤🤤🤤 What a treat.! Would definitely recommend the Pork Belly. The customer service is by far the best I've experienced in a long time. 10/10 would recommend this place for an intimate flavor adventure.

What an absolute gem of a coffee shop! Will definitely be back. The venue itself is stunning. The service was phenomenal. We were immediately greeted and seated by very friendly management and staff and looked after like gold throughout the duration of our visit. Our food was absolutely delicious and every consideration was taken care of down to the specifications of our perfectly cooked eggs. The iced coffee and cuppachino's were devine and the attention paid to every single little detail was noted and a real treat.

Excellent little hidden gem. The service is impeccable and the foods are incredibly delicious French toast with peri peri chicken livers is something new, but pairs incredibly well. On my short list for weekend breakfast spots

Excellent Eatery!!! Service is absolutely incredible, Eve and her staff are amazing, friendly polite, and the food is made on the premises with no unnatural and artificial valfourants, amazingingly delicious a definite must go to!! Only down side was the coffee was a bit too strong for me, and i love strong coffee, however will still definitely recommend there establishment, from the beautiful venue, to the full greek menu!! an absolute must!!

Hidden away just off busy Main Rd, Benoni opposite Lakefield PnP centre. Nestled amongst big shady trees and serving good old favourites as well as fresh alternative dishes. Stocking a wide variety of beverage not always available at other restaurants.

A lovely place to head to for a leisurely breakfast or lunch. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. It can get a little bit slow with service depending on when you visit and how busy it is, but the staff are friendly and willing to help.

Food was great, nice atmosphere. Our bill was a mess (things on it we had not ordered - luckily I checked it) but Josh sorted it out.

It's always being great to be here. Espresso is strong, as it should be, water is cold. Just the new parking looks like a plaza than anything else. But over all 5 ⭐

Unfortunately can’t be polite and friendly when this is a rip off. Shocking !!! Half an avo and 1 egg? R65? Coffee tastes horrible and not close to a Cappuccino? Not acceptable sorry!

Since the first time I have been here, I’ve always been greeted with a friendly smile, the food has always been amazing, the coffee is the best and the gin #onpoint! This is the place I go to when I want to relax and create memories.

Awesome little spot with outstanding food and a breakfast menu that offers something really different and adventurous ... not to mention the coffee is superb! Parking can be a hack, but always best to book beforehand. Will definitely be trying out something from the cake selection next time!

A lovely hidden away gem! Been there now for breakfast, which was scrumptious, and a romantic dinner. The staff are attentive and friendly and the food comes timeously. Their prices are a bit steep but willing to be paid for a great atmosphere and delicious food. Last night we went their for dinner and it was absolutely lovely. The vibe was personal and romantic yet interesting and friendly. The candles and fairylights set a lovely tone. We had tapas to start which were delicious though the samosas had a bite that we were not aware of when ordering (we are not chilli fans) but still great. For mains, my man had the halloumi chicken burger and I had the Thai fish cakes minus the hot soya sauce. Both were outstanding! Needless to say, we will be back for another date night!

What a beautiful little restaurant! The epitome of freshly made food. Always delicious, great menu and out of this world cakes. Can't get better than Perk for a good early morning/lunch meal. A bit pricey and 'fancier' than the average but definitely worth it!

I've been back a number of times as it's just a lovely gem. The food, atmosphere and the personal touch is great. Food is well presented. This is fast becoming my favourite coffee / lunch venue. The only suggestion I would suggest would be they need to market themselves more - I've lived in Benoni and didn't even know about them until someone wanted to meet there for a business meeting. @ Tamzen Ayers, Sharon Lion-Cachet

Limited parking. Sevice was slow due to a massive table and only two people taking orders etc. the food was average and underwhelming but the coffee was good. Will have to try again when it's less busy.

Met the girls for coffee at Perk. Very pretty venue with lots of potential.<br/><br/>We visited the day after they reopened for the New Year so understandably not all their stock was in. This situation was very ably handled by our waitress who made sure to check.<br/><br/>Cappuccinos were warm and a little on the small side but very nice.<br/><br/>We decided to have lunch and while the menu was limited due to stock issues we were very happy with our choice.<br/><br/>

I think I just found my new hideout in Benoni. The service is good and although the food took a tad long, it was well worth the wait - fresh ingredients bursting with flavour! Oh n the place looks very pretty and intimate. A true gem

Love this place, it's my fiance and my hide away spot. The food is delicate, refined and the owner is very creative and passionate which spills over into her dishes. Service is great with waiter suggesting and pairing wines with the meal. Such a romantic atmosphere here. Have on the odd occasion a jazz and tapas afternoon and I saw they are open on Friday nights now as well so it's our date night venue now.

The Service amazing, I ordered the fish cakes with an Asian salad wow, it was amazing.  The fishcakes are homemade, the salad comes with an Asian dressing it was out of this world.

Had breakfast here yesterday and it was exceptional. Friendly staff, great service, lovely venue and amazing food. I would go here again and definitely encourage anyone else to go as well.

After the marathon this morning, the guys were dying for a good meal, and we ended up at Perk. What a great discovery! The food was really good! We had the omelette with mince and cheese, bbq burger, and chicken burger. Really tasty food! We also took some sweet treats away with us. The hummingbird cake is so tasty! Really nice spot!!

Best french toast I've had in a long time. Very friendly service and the place has a comfy vibe. The lemon poppyseed cake was very moist, but a bit on the sweet side. A great place to catch up with a friend..

Situated off an extremely busy road, one might not actually notice this shop. Its hidden in one of the businesses premises. Been wanting to try this as the menu items looked good and the reviews too. Sadly it didnt live up to our expectations. Some items were not available on the day. The staff are very friendly and the premises is decorated with all these lovely sayings.<br/><br/>I took the harissa chicken burger. Let me first say that it was tender chicken and the roll was soft but its not at all what i had in mind and for the price i paid. It felt like chicken on a roll with no side chips or salad. Couldnt get the harissa taste and the pineapple salsa didnt wow. Next was the shakshuka which was suppose to be a spicy tomato peppers housemade sauce -nothing spicy there either and it was suppose to come with poached eggs which was fried as the edges were all crispy and lastly a toasted sandwich. <br/>The cappuccino was hot and strong. The creme brulee latte was a bit sweet and the cola tonic we ordered with soda water had no bubbles. <br/><br/>They also had a variety of cakes and Portuguese tarts and some other greek item with ricotta cheese i think in it. Those tasted nice. Just pity about the items that made us want to come to them didnt have that spicy kick we wanted. <br/>

Took my hubby and father out for Fathers Day. Excellent breakfast selection and the coffee was great. I would really recommend the Creamy Mushrooms, french toast was delicious and the salted caramel latte will most definitely be a firm favorite in our family.

Wonderful hearty meals. Home-style cooking with a touch of elegance and sophistication. The setting is great - Perk is just off a busy main road so its easily accessible but due to the garden and indoor-outdoor style of the coffee shop, it appears wonderfully tranquil. Food preparation tends to be slow, so its the perfect place to catch-up with a friend.  Prices tend to be on the higher end of the spectrum, which you don't mind paying due to the superior quality offered. Definitely not a "fast food" joint - but its the perfect place to catch your breath when life seems too busy. Coffee and cakes are wonderful. Breakfast offers the regular favourites as well a number of  great dishes unique to Perk. Lunch menu is limited, but the Mediterranean cuisine is always of the highest standard. Staff and super friendly.
