Let me say this was my first time at this place as a customer. Firstly didn't know they have macon👌🏻that was a definite seller for me. The breakfast combo is also affordable. Thank you to the friendly waiter I met on the escalators...when I asked for directions to Wimpy he kindly did so and processed to tell me about their special. It was an instant change of mind. I however do not understand why the bread slice looks half. Is it supposed to be like this?

What a great place. I must admit that their portion size is amazing and filling compared to other Del forno’s that I have been to . This place is great. Delicious food and refreshingly different. Friendly staff. One of the best halal joints in all of Gauteng. We like that they have a baby chair, trust me this is important. Extensive menu, everything we tried was yummy.

This place is amazing. I had breakfast there today, and it was absolutely delicious. The food is affordable, and the restaurant gives off a classy feel. I love it and highly recommended it. Service is amazing, and everyone is friendly. Edit: I came back here on the 22nd of September with a few friends for the date night special and the food was absolutely amazing. This is now my new favorite restaurant. Unfortunately the restaurant (including the whole mall) does not serve alcoholic beverages.

We ordered a feta, avo and Macon pizza yesterday along with the 4-burger special. The pizza was so great and the burgers were a decent size. The amount of chips with each burger was really variable though. I tried to use the app and have to food delivered. However, it was really clitchy and the specials on the pamphlet were not available on the app.

I have been here 3 times and each time the food has been horrible.With each visit I hoped there would be a change but from horrid butter chicken pasta and gross lasagna to rice pudding that was chewy I will finally not be back and have run out of chances to give.Service is great though

Probably the best halaal joint in joburg. All pizza is good. Steaks are good. Gnocchi is good. Chicken schnitzel is good. The trinchado is really good. The leftover trinchado is also good cold, as a late night snack when looking in the fridge.

Their menu has everything from burgers, grills, Italian and seafood. Even though they have a large menu, they seem to do everything well. The pizza is baked in a wood-fired oven which is a bonus. Service was fast - we waited only 15 minutes for the food.

We ordered for some individuals at our office down the road in Rosebank. When I placed the order they repeated it back to me and it was correct. It took an hour and a half to eventually arrive after the 2 drivers got lost - I had given them the street address and the building name, as well as clear instructions what the building looked like. 2 of the pizzas were wrong so the individuals who ordered these pizzas had to pick off pieces from their pizzas. They only ate them because they were very hungry. After paying, the slip did not print correctly and we had to ask for their copy of the slip because the one they presented to us was half blank.Normally I get pizza from a different branch of Pizza del Forno, so maybe it is just the Killarney branch. Either way, I will not be using this branch again.

Decor was clean and fresh. Seating very comfortable. Service was friendly and attentive. My son had al forno which he absolutely loved. I had a beef lasagne which was very dry and lacked flavor. So it was a 50/50 experience.

Ended up here on New Years day as most places in Joburg were closed. Was pleasantly surprise as I hardly ever go the this Mall. The service was average , but understandable . We had the garlic foccassia for starters , followed by the spinach and feta canelloni and the gamberi pasta . Both dishes were really tasty and thoroughly satisfying. Would say its one of the better Italian frachises for sure.

Today I was invited to try out pizza Del Forno. Firstly kudos on the amazing decor. The decor is warm and inviting ensuring that you forget about the hustle of the city around. I was greeted by a staff member with a warm welcome and shown our tables immediately which I loved, usually at restaurants you wait for someone to notice you before you get seated. We ordered the pizza Regina and it did not fail, the crust was perfectly crispy and the infusion of flavors were mouth weathering. With out even having to ask we were told as we were handed the menus the daily special, which stood out for me ensuring I remember that they pride themselves in the quality of good service to accompany good food. So if you in the mood for flavorful pizza with a tranquil ambiance I suggest you try pizza del forno Killarney.

So i decided to get Pizza Del Forno for lunch yesterday but i didnt get to order pizza however their Burger and Chips!!!! This is an ultimate Fav! the portion size is amazing and great and i eat a lot so i was definitely not complaining. The price is very reasonable as it cost me R50 (the day before it was R44 as per my knowledge) but for what you get i would definitely pay for it again. The chips are your shoe string chips with that delicious chips spice. The service was cool, the takeaway did not take long to arrive. But definitely their food is absolutely delicious!!!!

My first time trying Pizza del Forno. We ordered a takeaway which took an hour to arrive even though we are a few hundred meters up the road. They remind me of pizza perfect which I would prefer. The toppings were sparse and the flavour was just missing something. I liked that they have specials - we ordered three medium pizzas for R145. Overall most people were disappointed in their pizzas. This is probably best to try as a sit down as we found the takeaway disappointing.

Ive been wanting to try Pizza Del Fourno for awhile. We arrived in a group of 10 tonight and were shown to a table almost immediately. The seating is so comfortable and the decor and lighting is lovely aswell. We ordered the Steak Supreme Pizza, a Pepperoni one, a few pastas and burgers and a steak for my hubby. All absolutely delicious. To drink i tried the blue lemonade and a some ice tea. Our waitress was full of smiles and very helpful from start to finish. Made dining here such a pleasure. I would definitely drop by again to taste more on the menu and have another steak, which stood out for me.

Stopped by before a movie. I tried the chicken pasta and halloumi starter. We also had a veg pizza. The food was really good. The set up was also comfortable and laid back. A surprisingly good pasta place.

Had a pizza and it was good but not as good as some of its competitors but was good nonetheless. Service was good too, the place was clean and tidy. Overall had a good meal.

We have eaten here about 4 times and on 2 occasions one person became quite ill soon after eating the pizzas. The first time it happened, we let it slide but twice at the same venue for the same food order is too much. The first time one of us vomited non-stop after eating the margarita pizza & the second time, suffered diarrhea the entire night shortly after eating the nachos pizza. The food generally tastes okay but we will give it a miss from now on as the food isn't always up to standard.

Ordered a take away from this branch as they have a special on Tuesdays. Two pastas for R99. I ordered the roast vegetable and Halloumi pasta which was a bit dry and didn't have a lot of vegetables . I also found the taste to be quite bland. I also ordered the creamy spinach pasta which I enjoyed however there wasn't enough salt.

Having recently moved to the area I was so hoping to have a good experience at Pizza del forno. Sadly this was not the case. It is a lovely , quiet restaurant tucked away a the bottom of killarney mall. But that is about where the compliments stop. I ordered the ladies steak and was very dissapointed. The steak itself,while cooked to temperature, was very thin and not what you expect when ordering a steak at a restaurant. I opted for chips and creamed spinach as my sides. The chips were doused in seasoning and otherwise lacklustre. The creamed spinach was the biggest let Down though. It was so salty I could not eat it. I kindly told the waiter that he may want to inform the chef so that he can make ammendments to the spinach for future customers. I was not expecting an apology , but was taken aback when the manager became defensive about the issue while paying, full of excuses about how they do not add salt to dishes due to health department regulations and that it was some other seasoning. Definitely not the best way to react. I hear the pizzas are good though,So maybe I will give them another chance to try impress me.

Ordered a take away over the weekend for collection. Garlic focaccia was good. The 3 pizzas were horrible... Tasted like frozen pizza with a bland uninspiring tomato base. The cheese top was actually separate and sliding off the base. Also ordered nachos...this was a packet of nachos chips with some melted cheese and jalapeños. Not worth the price Pasta arrabiata...penne pasta and the arrabiata was not spicy at all. In fact it was not even a sauce- more like red staining on the penne. Very unlikely to waste money on their horrible food again. Can't believe the rave reviews when the standard is so low.

I frequent cafe del forno, Killarney due to the consistently excellent food and service, and the welcoming and comfortable ambiance. I have had a range of dishes at this establishment and none have disappointed, so my suggestion is try everything :-) If i had to choose, the pastas come out tops.

I've been to this place twice. Both times I had to wait so long for my food, even wondered at some point if the waiter had forgotten about my table - the place was empty. Their pizza and pasta dishes are good but I would advise against venturing beyond that. The Pollo Fantastico is a stuffed chicken fillet dish, while the stuffing was amazing, the breast itself was rather dry and a tad bit hard... Veggies were bland. Basically it's great for pizza or pasta and call ahead for your order if you're doing take away

I first at at this place after it opened in 2014. It was delicious. I went back recently and ordered a Polpeta (meatball pasta). The meatballs were as dry as sawdust and the oregano (I think that's what it was called) was overwhelming. I'm a big eater, and not very fussy, but I barely managed to consume half of my pasta. Very disappointing.

Very disappointing experience but that will teach me for ordering steak at a pizza place. The steak sides offered us the options of mash or fries but my steak arrived with Smash, which compared to the steak was the highlight because the meat was tough and dry. The minestrone soup was tastier.

Not really my first option for pizza, but a close substitute. Generally I find that with most pizzas you need to add extra sauce, without it i find the pizza very dry. I also find that their pizza is a little thick for a clay oven Its perfect for people who live in Killarney, as their delivery is relatively fast

Pizza del forno in killarney is simply amazing. The decor is stunning and the freshest ingredients are always used. We had the del forno pizza with steak peppers and pepperdews which was lovely. The base was extra crispy just like an authentic Italian pizza in the heart of Italy. The lemonade was beautifully presented and the waiter was friendly too making the experience even better. A must for a pizza lover like me #yum #ilovepizza

This is definitely one of my favourite pizza places. I like the style of the restaurant, the downstairs section has a very intimate feel. I find the staff friendly and approachable. I love their pizza's and really love the fact that they offer banana as a topping. Very few places to that. I also enjoyed their salmon rolls, they were light and tasty. We come here often and will most certainly continue to do so!

Their pizzas have an understated decadence about them. There's nothing generic or "fast food" tasting about this traditionally take out item. Definitely the restaurant of choice when you don't feel too keen on cooking, but still want the taste of real, fresh ingredients.

While I'm sure Del Forno serves other great food, I choose them for their delicious pizzas. My personal favorite is the Siciliana (olives, capers and anchovies). They also deliver and can bring a card machine to make paying easy (just ask for it when you order). I've never been disappointed with their pizzas and will continue to return

My closest most favourite pizza delivery service. Thursday night couch night consists of Brie and Cranberry pizza - delivered piping hot - within 10 minutes of ordering for a whole R95.00 for the large and I eat it all ( because I can ) !! Totally YUM 🍕🍕

If you're looking for a good meaty pizza, this is probably your best option in the North! The pizza was tasty but is obviously not gourmet. I'd stick to main courses from here only though, as the rainbow cake slice was a disgrace- it just tasted really weird and of colourants. All in all a not bad pizza joint!

Great staff, extensive breakfast menu. Fantastic thin omelette which I much prefer to the normal frothy, puffy ones that most places serve. Absolutely loved the gorgeous decor - the sand-filled bottles are absolutely inspired!! The teapots and glass teacups are just gorgeous! Also an advantage that this restaurant is Halaal - catering to the large market In the area.

I love a crispy, thin based pizza which Pizza Del Forno does to perfection. I often visit over lunch working on my laptop and can have a pizza and a cooldrink for under R100. I am unsure if they deliver to surrounding areas. The staff is friendly and helpful but it is the thin crust I return for.

Went to get a take-away, like several times before. Don't know when the changes were made, but what a disappointment. Discovered that no pork was served any longer, but ok - decided to give the "pressed beef" a try. I prefer classic pizza, so headed straight for the "Classic Selection" on the menu. My favourite, always: the Quattro Staggione (Four Seasons). Ok, with no ham, no longer really Classic. Without looking at the rest of the ingredients I went ahead and ordered. Ordered a glass of wine while waiting. Nope, they no longer served alcohol. I paid, walked off with my pizza. The smell of green pepper suddenly wafting from the box. Quattro Staggione traditionally has HAM MUSHROOMS OLIVES ARTICHOKE. I went back to check. Yes, the "Classic" QS at Del Forno now has GREEN PEPPER instead of artichoke. The pizza was unpleasant. They should not trade as Italian, really, anymore. I shall NOT be back. Oh, the servers were lovely, which makes their miserable menu an even greater pity.

Being so close to the office, we visited during lunch time. The place was quite busy. Being halaal makes it much easier to order . Quite a number of pizza and pasta options. ordered a pizza with salami and chilli. It took really long to arrive. Hoping that the kitchen was on a go slow that day. Reasonably priced. I might give it a 2nd chance hoping that it would be better.

I'm a huge fan of pizzas and after hearing a lot of good feedback I knew I had to try it out. I ordered the chicken and mushroom pizza which was disappointing to be honest. It might have been my choice but the pizza was somewhat bland and lacked flavor. The service however, was not bad which is why I will return in the near future and try something different from the menu.
