Bright airy cafe with a good selection of coffee drinks and a wide assortment of roasts.
Indoor and outdoor (covered) seating. A menu of food as well but we didn’t try any of it.

Solid coffee shop with plenty of whole bean options. They also have an ample selection of brew hardware. The seating is refreshing, open, and with variety. They have traditional espresso and milk options as well as V60, chemex, and aero press for order. I didn’t try the food but it looks pretty good. I plan on coming back!

I had a fun time. For a compact space it felt spacious. I like that they have table tennis at their store. It's really refreshing. The play area can be closed to contain the noise. I ordered a flat white, it was made at a suitable temperature, warm enough to drink. The milk used was taste with some sweet nodes to it. A great beverage when starting to take your coffee without sugar. Friendly customer service. They have an innovative means of accessing the menu via QR code on the dinning in tables, although they do have a menu at the counter, which is where you place your order. You order at the counter, and your order is served at your table. Hot and cold beverages are available, breakfast: toasted sandwiches, muesli, yogurt, fruits and etc are sold. It's a great gem.

If space contributes to the taste of coffee then Father Coffee got it right. The space is beautiful and accommodating any day kind of mood from reading space to meet up. The coffee is carefully roasted. Someone really translated their love for coffee and brought it to us. The Father family directly represents the diversity of culture in South Africa giving the space a different young, alive, retro and hippy vibe. Great Coffee, Great Food, Great Space, Great Escape.

Had 45minutes to kill at The Zone @ Rosebank, phoned a friend for coffee shop suggestions who recommended Fathers.
Popped in, very pleased that I did, ended up being a bit more than 45minutes.
Area was clean, neat with several patrons, always a good sign.
Impressed with the uncluttered layout and menu’s. Would have loved to have tried more of their coffee’s, but an unadulterated Americano was my primary choice.
Lightly toasted croissant with ham and Emmental cheese to snack on followed by a carrot cake. On both counts, very enjoyable.
Will gladly go back for another visit.

I went for a slice of banana bread and was surprised to get it toasted and with sweet butter - very happy with the result however, really tasty!

Truly a gem of a coffee bar that serves the best coffee 👌 be it a quick takeaway, a catch-up with friends or a spot to get some work done...this place is it. Option to order tasters of the unique blends Father Coffee has on offer. Unique blends of beans available to purchase to take home as well - if coffee is your thing..this place is a must!

Writing this review as I sit here. I'm not an expert on coffee but they had quite a great Costa Rica batch brew, which really makes me want to get a second round but I'm already jittery! Not sure what's it's usual movement but I managed to get a table and it seems like there's people chatting, working and reading - but overall, given it's a Tuesday morning the ambiance is it's pretty chill and the movement is reasonable. Unfortunately I'm not in Joburg long enough to come again but I'll def come on my next visit!
