Review Daleahs Eatery - Johannesburg

Simphiwe Sithole
Some of the best pasta dishes I have tasted is from here. Their chicken wings are supposedly legendary but have been a hit or miss for me. Their ribs are also good. Staff is generally friendly and helpful. Food does take long at times but this isn't a fast food place so its sort of expected. Their prices are a bit on the expensive side but this is Braamfontein and its par for the course for the area. The place has an artsy/vintage look to it, lots of art books around to read while you wait. You can kind of guess the crowd that frequents the place.

The homely eatery is always bustling and can sometimes be difficult to get a place to sit down, especially on Saturdays, but that just shows how much the patrons love it. Try the finger-licking sticky ribs or the mouth-watering pregos and you'll probably want to try everything else on the menu. The only problem of course is the lack of space in your tummy... make sure you have space for the delicious desserts of course. A relaxed coffee-shop ambiance, great value and homely food that reminds one of their mother's cooking is what will keep patrons coming back for more.

I enjoy spending time here, creative decor and food presentation. I like the ambiance, good food and good coffee. It's even better with great company.

The food is good, the service is even better. Love so many things here... I will list but a few: - bbq chicken wings - ribs - steak and mash - chili con carne - chicken liver pasta - "the chicken" : their chicken salad - banting burger!!!
Tiffany Mentoor
Really delicious food and good portions. I recommend anything on the menu, especially the chicken liver pasta.

As much as I love Daleahs and have probably been there half a dozen times, the service I received today was disappointing to say the least.. The waiter - tall gentlemen who is wearing a green jacket - who serviced me today was not only EXTREMELY rude because I did not give him a tip, but he never paid any attention to us or cared to even ask if we were okay halfway through my meal. I had to call him to take our order for the drinks and had to call him again to get the bill! Its not compulsory to give tips especially for bad service, but to be called cheap is insulting to say the least.
Hlehle Zikode
Was pissed off by the wait for the food , it took us 1.5 hours to get our order served , however the food out of this world , fresh as ever hmmmmnonononm

I went to Daleah’s for a breakfast date and it was lovely. The food was delicious and well presented, & the service was great. It has a very cosy feel, which is great for a date, whether solo or with a friend. It’s also reasonably priced and worthwhile.

Daleah's gives me such a Europe feel!! A great spot after a hectic night out. They also provide healthy alternatives for the conscious eater! Apparently their ribs are amazing so I'll be back

I absolutely love Daleah's eatery,it has a nice and cosy atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and the food is amazing.I'm always satisfied with whatever I order, from their baked treats to smoothies and their main meals. It's probably my favorite eatery place in Braamfontein
Busisiwe Miller
One of my favourite places by far! I've been there tons of times and have never been disappointed a single time. Everything about this place appeals to me. I would recommend the Creamy pesto pasta. It's ABSOLUTELY amazing :)
Zizi “Zed-I” Dlamini
Daleah's is a favourite for Braam-dwelling or commuting students such as myself. The cosy coffee shop vibe welcomes an assortment of people. The obvious downside being the difficulty in finding seating. The service is good but unremarkable - a bit slow at times but everyone's friendly and willing to help.

The pasta portions are deceptively large. I was presented a bowl of the C and M pasta and found myself disappointed with how little pasta I was given. Needless to say I was proven wrong and actually took some of it to go. I'm a big fan of garlic so I wasn't too phased but if you aren't; take this as a warning for the dish.
Jenny Louw
Even though I don't eat mushrooms I like that they have a veggie option for their sliders as I always have FOMO when people are having sliders. I like coming here for some of Daleah's teas especially to get away from the crazy busy markets.
Tsepiso Mbali
I've been here a few times. Never been disappointed by the food. The pasta is amazing and tasteful. I ordered breakfast the last time I went and wow. It was humongous, delicious and fit for a queen. I always have the worst luck with my waiter though, I've been to Daleah's about Seven times and each time I have ended up with the same waiter. He is slow, doesn't write anything down and once didn't inform us that the power was out so we waited for a good 30min for our order. Besides him, Daleah's is amazing and I'll keep going back in hopes of the same standard of food and a new more efficient waiter.

We snuck into Daleahs for a quick lunch before heading to the theatre on Saturday. It was busy with a great vibe - probably good to book on weekends. Service was friendly and good and they made a plan to accommodate us between reservations. The menu is short and sweet with something for everyone. My 3 year old had the beef sliders with chips which got a big thumbs up from him. Adults had the chicken salad (plentiful and tasty) and the banting burger (best beef patties and a generous fresh salad). Fresh decor and cool furniture. We'll be back.
Tanya Chirimuta
Cute little undiscovered gem in the middle of town that really serves some great meals! It has an artsy atmosphere and really efficient service. Wonderful hidden gem.
ShAmie Kekana
This place has amazing cakes (they're really to die for) & the food is also really good. The service is a bit poor & it takes really long to get your order or the bill. But overall it's a good spot for a lunch date with a friend
Awande Mngadi
I love Daleahs for its simplicity, intimacy and desire to focus on good food and service. The location is perfect for anyone to begin their adventure in Braamfontein whether for breakfast or a supper before a night out. The meals are affordable ranging from R80-150 and the taste oh the taste! The banting burger and Creamy Pesto are sure fire favourites of mine. I give this place a 5 out of 5 also for the consistency in service and smiles.
GOODATEATING
In my personal opinion, Daleahs is maybe top 3 things to come out of Braamfontein. It's small, it's got a great menu, and just a cool vibe to chill at. This may seem irrelevant, but the plating is also so cool, which gets you excited to eat. But that may just be me, and my strange foodie ways.
My favourite thing about this restaurant is the small menu. I may be the only person that thinks this way, but I like menus that aren't full with many options, it's sometimes feels too overwhelming that you end up choosing something just out of panic because the waiter keeps coming back to ask what you want. So when I see a menu that has bomb, minimum versatile options, it makes the ordering quicker and hence your tummy is blessed with food sooner.
My food was tasty. As tasty as a salad can be. I always feel that's a good way to judge a restaurant, if they can make a bomb salad they should be able to make other bomb food. I do however wish the chicken had more flavour, the salad was saved by the amazing dressing.
Its Perfect for the unplanned lunches, or wanting to take a lunch break, solo dates or group dates. Business meetings, romantic dates. Any excuse to meet up. I do think it's strictly for the day time. It's better to enjoy the ambiance in the light and warmth that the day has to offer.
It caters for the students, young adults, professionals. Anyone that is wanting to spend their hours in a secluded restaurant that's still got a sense of a feel good vibe. You can bring I literally don't think there's anyone that would not enjoy this restaurant because it's for everyone.
I love this place because of the way in which it gives off a chilled vibe but doesn't really drown your spirits either. You've got a lot to gain from eating from here.

This nice cosy spot in Braam is out of this world amazing guys, there are few places where you'd find yourself a better lunch. I love this place man.

Daleah's is a hidden gem indeed! A friend and I got a little extra time after class for lunch hour and he told me about Daleah's. I invited myself of course and I am truly glad I did. This is a tiny quaint old world meets new sort of place which gives you a very kitschy vibe when you get in. There was no space in front so we had to go to the back on this cold rainy afternoon. We sat there under the tin roof with the noise of the rain beating down. My friend suggested the bacon pasta and I did try it out of curiosity and OH MY WORD! Well hold on for a minute. The order did not come to us as fast as your hunger would expect it to come. It took some time but I kid you not, it was well worth the wait. The flavors just refuse to get out of my head. We had the chocolate cake right after to complete the meal and that was one decadent piece of cake I must say. All in all I don't think I enjoyed a rushed lunch in Johannesburg ever so much as I did this one and it was not really rushed. Do give their specials a try. Trust me it is totally worth it.

Daleahs has always been my favourite little hidden gem. I was truly disappointed when we got served uncooked chicken, the waiter took it to the kitchen and within minutes brought back the SAME half eaten chicken (charred). I couldn't understand why they didn't replace the chicken
Danieljake
Came here for breakfast on a quiet Tuesday morning.

Ordered the flapjack stack and a flat white.

The supposed 'flat white' was awful. Coffee definitely isn't a speciality at this restaurant. The milk wasn't even steamed properly and there was no microfoam.

The flapjacks, however, were incredible. They had such a fluffy, milky texture to them and the syrup was delicious. The berries in compote were also fantastic and really brought out a unique flavor in the flapjacks.

Daleahs is definitely the best place to get breakfast in braam. Without a doubt.
Musa Mthombeni
One of the best spots in Braamfontein. Mean ass dishes. It's definitely one to see. Fantastic staff and a friendly environment. Best for breakfast and lunch
Xiluvha Komane
The service was great. Really friendly staff, who were happy to recommend their favourite menu items. The food is delicious... Have eaten here so many times and tried different things on the menu. Always so good... plus the decor is so interesting.

Cute little place but oh so horrible. The food took too long to arrive. We were moved off our table to accommodate other patrons. The waiters seem confused. I'm never coming here again! No thanks! Oh and the food was underwhelming.

Daleahs is the culinary shining star of Braamfontein. Not only is the service great but the menu is mouth wateringly delicious. There are a variety of breakfast and lunch options that will leave you wishing you had two tummies, so you can eat more. Im not a Rib lover, but I think Daleahs pork ribs might have convinced me otherwise. Those ribs were just too DIVINE in their sticky gorgeousness. The club sandwich is a tower of exciting flavours ready to tango with your tastebuds. I’ve got one word to describe the Food at Daleahs: SUBLIME!!!

Rating
Service: 8/10
Food: 9/10
Cost: Its Reasonable if not bordering on inexpensive.
The 800gs of Ribs cost R65 including sides. Enough to put a builder to bed.
Health: You have options. The menu offers a variety of dishes from salads to ribs. The food is not greasy at all. So you can still visit Daleahs if you’re on a diet.

Gorgeous little restaurant in Braamfontein and what a vibe. Breakfasts for the win! I haven't had such an enjoyable Full English in ages and I was so satisfied.
I have to bring the coffee up as it was so disappointing and lacked flavour, body and strength. I watched them being made and they were being watered down. It's almost acceptable but the ratios for the size of glass just didn't add up.
Mexican sandwich was lacking that 'Mexican' fee as I'm not sure how avo can make something Mexican? No chills. No relish. Just lacking in flavour really.
Recommended for breakfast definitely!

A friend was in Johannesburg for the weekend we did a little catch up session, brunch vibes the service was good so was the food and drinks.

Daleah's is a quaint little gem, which we thoroughly enjoyed before a night out across the road. The restaurant is small, and boasts some really cool art on each wall.

The waiters are friendly, and even offered to make a special arrangement to get us SAB beers from another establishment, as they don't stock them.

We were very sad that they didn't have any chili poppers on the night we were there, and so quickly changed our meal plans to their pasta. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was like home-cooked but better.

They only stock craft beer. This usually wouldn't be a problem but the options weren't extensive, and so they made a plan. Which was great. The other drinks aren't cheap.

Overall, I would definitely go back to try out their sliders/ burgers, which are very popular and would recommend it to anyone in the area.

I've been coming here for quite a while and I'm honestly never disappointed. Nice little gem in the city. The food is always amazing and the vibe is always great. Awesome spot

Love the decor, atmosphere, hubby had a fillet sandwich and I had an omelette. Real value for money, friendly service. This is my new breakfast/coffee spot in Braamfontein.

I think people have been caught up in the hipster trendy image that has been projected by Daleahs and its patrons. The food is average at best. The menu very very limited and our waiter disappeared to do a delivery for over 30 minutes and nobody to stand in and look after us. Maybe I just don't get it but I definitely won't be back.

Daleahs has a super unique setting... I love the internal vintage theme and the outside balcony feel... it's really great!

The whole idea of not conforming to the huge ass greasy burger but making 2 mini ones is great! They are edible, less messy and one gets a proper bite and a full burst of flavour!

The mushroom sauce in the house-slider.. demmit! Who's ypur chef heeey???!! ... the lettuce felt useless though... it was too plain. It was boring. My suggestion, make it more fun in the burger (slider). Make it more useful.

The small size of chips also worked well for me. They looked few, but they were just enough.

I get bottles look cool but they don't match your theme there... nah...

When you serve your cake, bring it on either the wooden board or plate, not both. And it would be nice to have the cake with a side of whipped cream and any berries available or a mint leaf for garnish_ but taste wise, bar one goes in deep!

so daleah's has been bookmarked for quite some - so finally headed over this week. firstly, the setting was great- real edgy but not over the top. service was fantastic. and the food was really tasty. relatively small menu, with some great options. i went for a fillet sandwich. was delicious and quite filling, considering that it looked quite small. a friend went for a pasta- great portion packed with flavour. menu is well priced and their beer selection is also really good. all in all, would definitely head back again.

Daleah's Eatery is perfect for a light lunch, with a great chilled vibe set up.
I loved my Creamy presto pasta. The meal, including my drink was under R100.

Daleah's is a lovely spot for a delicious cup of coffee and tasty breakfast. I have also enjoyed a dinner here as it is open on first Thursdays. Such a great and relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and a bustling city vibe. I will definitely be back!

I think being there three times is good for a review. The people, the food, the environment within - Beautiful. Experiencing restaurants from a customers perspective (after working in one myself), you actually see more. I admittedly love Daleah's

Big ups to this establishment in Braamfontein. The food is out of this world and so is the Wi-Fi. I truly recommends everything on their menu. There is also a space at the back of the place for private meetings. What a gem in Braamies
Kev
Unfortunately inflexible on the vegetarian options. We tried to swop out the meat options for cheaper vegetarian options, however we were told we would be charged a premium. We left.
Cookingwithluyanda
I've been here many times before, today I decided to try out the creamy pesto pasta. It is amazing. Everything is up to scratch. Love it, visit!

Total hit!! Cool authentic set up and yummy food.... Could expand the menu abit though. But definitely will go back there for a fresh lunch

Popped over to Deleah's for something fresh and they didn't disappoint. I highly recommend their raspberry smoothie and my friend was very impressed with their coffee frappe. Though i didn't eat there the food did smell delicious, I'll certainly return to try out one of their dishes. Perfect spot for a lunch break or casual meeting.

A small quirky place often overlooked in Braamfontein, but if you wanna head to a place that's quiet and secluded from the busy street cafes, this is the place to do it. The UBER hipster in you will thank you. With a wide range of foods available this makes it the perfect place to catch and chill over good freshly made food. If you're in for intimate, quirky but with a twist, head over here!
Krinisha Kara
Beer, burgers. Light food with a vibey seating area. As a student, it was a fun and exciting experience. Great place to hang out with friends and try some laid back food.

Daleah's is a cute hipster café located in Braamfontein. I love the mix matched furniture and minimalistic look. The menu is rather small but very decently priced. I tried the pesto pasta with mushrooms and was impressed that the offered to swop out the chicken for haloumi. The pasta was yummy, the second best basil pesto pasta I have had.The portions are very generous and I didn't get anywhere close to finishing. Nice touches include the presentation on wooden boards as well as individual portions of chilli and parmesan. You can tell the food is freshly prepared and great quality. Everyone enjoyed their food which included the napolitana pasta and chips (with cheese sauce for R5 that they made on request). The food did take a little while to arrive even though they not busy -something to bear in mind if you hoping for a quick lunch during the work week. I definitely want to go back to try the stuffed chicken breast which look amazing.
Elizabeth Kakupa
Been there a couple of times.. Through Stanford Mazhindu birthday dinner there. The food is exquisite and the waiters great. They make you feel part of the family. Would highly recommend

Popped in on my way to a meeting. Comfortable spot to prepare, had a really delicious Chicken sat i.e. and loved the coffee! Friendly staff! Great place!

Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Braam 🎈 LOVE their iced coffee and creamy pesto pasta 🌿 If you haven't been to this little gem I'm actually quite jealous of you because you get to experience it for the first time! YUM! #ZomatoTopStar

I visited Dalaeh's ages ago when not many people knew about it. The menu was simple and drawn out on a chalkboard. I had the sliders which were delicious. It would be interesting to go back and see if the quality of food and service has changed because it was a rather enjoyable experience.

Went to Daleah's for drinks with mates and I was pleasantly surprised, the place inside was decorated quite nicely and has an ambience about itself. The drinks were reasonable and the vibe was too chilled.
Monique Pereira
Daleah's was definitely a tantalizing taste bud experience; from 'The Chicken' salad to the 'Stuffed Chicken Breast" it was faultless - absolutely delicious! The only problem was that the food took quite a while to arrive, but it was well worth the wait. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are a great size!
Jonathan
Had a great breakfast here. Their flapjacks and bacon make proper American style breakfast. Pretty damn authentic if you ask me and ive lived in the USA for many years. They could use a better maple syrup MAYBE...but thats just me nitpicking. Truth be told I enjoy the traditional South African Golden Syrup equally well. Well but it does make it less "American". Whatever though. Great breakfast and really good cappuccinos. Like the intimate atmosphere as well. Nice warm comfy vibe.
Lisa Davonne Ronaldo
Great vibe and awesome little gem in the middle of Braam, there hot chocolates are amazing ! I also had one of the cakes and it was quite delicious too!

Awesome feel to the place. Very intimate but not crowded feeling and had a bomb!!!!! Bacon pasta. Also the staff interact as if they've known you forever
Bonolo Eleanor Ngake
The food is absolutely amazing, I loved it. Only one problem, I was sitting by the bathroom at the back, and the waiter brought 7 other people to join me on the same table👎👎👎. Totally uncomfortable. My waiter was nowhere to be found, I just put my food in a doggy bag and ate it at the office.
Princess Petra
Sitting in school desks on the street in joburg CBD is a great way to spend an afternoon. The place looks and feels very trendy. Unfortunate we didn't eat but we will be back for a bite. I can say that their fresh juices are just to die for and ill pop in any day for one!
Racine Edwardes
Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast we shared with Reason and his friends. Traditional breakfast options with a cool little twist. The Shakumha-something really hit the spot. And let me not forget the sensational pesto pasta? 2 thumbs up.

If you haven’t been to Daleahs Eatery in Braamfotein yet, do yourself a favor and get yourself there the nearest coming Saturday afternoon. Located in the newly renovated and scrubbed up Braamfontein, Daleahs is a cool hipster hangout to pop into when you’re in the area. I always visit Daleahs when we’re in Braamfontein visiting the Neighbourgoods Market (and if you haven’t been there yet either then it sounds like you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of years).

The food from here is so delicious i highly recommend it. I often have the pasta and it continues to excite my taste buds. One of Johannesburg's hidden gems.
Greg Arthur
This cosmopolitan cafe has great food and a wonderful mix of patrons. It is always a favourite of mine.

P.S. The pancake stack is life changing!

My trick to finding a great parking spot in Braamfontein on a Saturday morning is to go early. Obvious, I know.

But my plan goes from obvious to genius with the addition of breakfast at Daleah's.

It's a great space, friendly service and a carefully curated breakfast selection (this place is too cool to call the breakfast selection small).

Seriously though, go early. It's gets pretty full pretty quickly.
Wilna Bester
Dahleah's - a charming place to have breakfast in this area (and lunch, coffee and supper)
The decor a creative mix of comfortable eclectic furniture. Service flawless, friendly & fast.
I had a breakfast pita filled with scrambled egg, bacon, tomato and fried haloumi. Crispy on the outside & doughy inside (yum), the pita was more like a thick round flatbread. The filling tasty and warm.
At the next table they ordered sliders & chips. And did I have food envy! It looked delicious.
Their raspberry smoothie is delicious: ice cold, creamy with crunchy gritty ice. Lovely texture. Just beware: they use raspberry syrup instead of fresh frozen raspberries. Thus not so healthy as can be expected.
An uplifting experience 😀
Sihle Thango
A little catch up session with a mate turned into wine, dinner, dessert and more wine.

And what better place to grab a bite in braamfontein than Daleah's. It's super cosy and intimate and probably one of the lesser congested restaurants on a Friday night in Braam.

I had the chicken breast stuffed with cheese and mushroom (and a whole lot more that I have forgotten) on a bed of green beans while my friend had the chicken liver pasta. Both were absolutely devine.

The topping of my day was ofcourse the bar one cake. It was incredibly moist and had the perfect balance of sweetness.
Josh Peter Gedye
Hard to find but if you can make your way to the green resturant front of daleah's definitely step inside! Good hearty food with great service this is a perfect spot for summer weekend lunches where you can rub shoulders with the young and attractive. Try get a table in the back where they can open up the door into the transormed former garage!
Kabelo Kgobe
My favourite spot to eat at in Braam, simple interior, away from the rush, its very laid back. Love their Chicken Pasta very very delicious, I tried their Chicken prego but I found it very hot, dry that was the only disappointment. Otherwise I'm impressed with their food and service n very good food at a reasonable price. Love it will visit more often, highly recommend it, everything a cafe should be.
Wesley Carlisle
Absolutely LOVED Deleah's!!! A quaint little coffee shop in Braamies.. ☕️ They have an amazing tea selection as well as the most incredible cake selection!!! We tried a slice of their carrot cake which was out of this world!!! I generally don't like carrot cake - but this was amazing!!! 🍰 We also tried their red velvet cake which was delicious.. This was topped with crushed macaroons..!!! Some of the best cake I have ever tasted..!!! 🎉 Everything was well priced and they have something for everyone. Their wine list and craft beers I was also great. 🍺🍷 Deleah's looks like it'd be great, for breakfast and I will definitely be going there for breakfast at a later stage. Full marks..!!! 😎👍🏼

On our Braam pub crawl we came across this beautiful, green walled gem! The name is not visibly clear, however just look for the splash of green! It is a small and beautiful place! Simple yet amazing! Their mine alcoholic drinks are beer and wine, and sadly I wanted a cocktail, but ordered a cappuccino which was strong and delicious! But now let's get down to business - their cakes are out of this world! We had a slice of the carrot cake and the red velvet cake, perfection to a tee. I will dream about these cakes until I visit this gem again! They had unfortunately run out of chocolate cake which I would have loved to try! This is a must go to place, whatever the occasion!
Mbulelo
Great place, warm and cozy. Saturday breakfast with the family & my daughter enjoyed it too. The aesthetic is very welcoming, fresh food & very kind waiters.

Came here for a dinner date with my boyfriend. Good food, good company. Great ambience, definitely a place to go. Had a creamy pesto pasta
Daleah's was perfect for this weather nice and cosy restaurant, had a latte before my breakfast just the way I like it,waiter was friendly and always ready to assist food took a bit long and that was explained to us very happy about that and it was worth the wait ☺️
Alessio La Ruffa
Daleah's is consistently great. 5 of us came for breakfast this morning, and all of us enjoyed our meals. 4 of us had the full breakfast and there was one portion of flapjacks and they were all perfect. The coffees are amazing and we will definitely be back.
Allegro Dinkwanyane
Thanks to a friend of my for introducing me to this place! I love the simplicity of their meals. Fresh and delicious! I enjoy breakfast at Daleahs and if you want to skip the light stuff and jump straight into their divine menu, the ribs should be your first option! Absolutely delicious 😋

A tiny, easy-to-miss gem tucked away next to the Impact Hub in Braamfontein. They have a super vibey, cheap, hilarious menu ("spilling your beer is the adult equivalent of losing your balloon") and R13 Americanos that are on par with any other coffeeshop. Service was weird though and the guys at the shop seemed to have a lot of trouble understanding my American English, unfortunately :(
Sebastian Kelly
There are no clues pointing you to the entrance of Daleah's, instead I'd suggest you head for the green building.

There are some comfy couch chairs, or if you're in a larger group there are tables with benches, or grab a spot by the window like we did so you can watch the bustle outside.

Alexandra Du Plessis and I went to try out Daleah's breakfast, and it didn't disappoint! I had the Full Breakfast, which is two eggs, sausages, a heathly amount of bacon, a tomato, a choice of toast and very delicious mushrooms all served on a breadboard. The portion size really agreed with my appetite, and the food flavours totally agreed with my tummy.

Do it like the German's and grab a beer with your breakfast, I'd suggest the mild and sweet flavours of Copperlake to compliment your meal.

Service was alright, the food was good, but the room full of people is what makes this spot great.
Alexandra Du Plessis
What a lovely little spot! With no signage outside, we would have probably missed it if we weren't specifically looking for it.

Menu is short and to the point. I wish they'd had a couple more breakfast options (was really craving some eggs Benedict) but my breakfast Pita was delicious nonetheless. Portions are generous and made with love. Coffee was excellent too, and I feel everything is very reasonably priced.

Decor is cosy and old-school, with some very personal touches which I really liked. Especially enjoyed the old school desk outside.

Service was good. Nothing exceptional though.

If you can't bear the crowds at neighbourgoods, I'd really recommend Daleah's as a great place to spend a Saturday morning.

Dolly
I had very high expectations as I'd only heard great reviews on Daleah's, but I was very disappointed. My friends and I were placed in the room at the back of the restaurant, which we didn't mind understanding how busy it gets around lunchtime. However, this meant that we were closely situated by the bathrooms, which did not make for a pleasant gastronomic experience. Our food took an hour to be served, at which point we asked for it to be put in doggy bags and take home. The food was in fact very delicious and I hope that the next time I visit,, the service is better and I get a seat in the actual restaurant.

Yummy lunch vibes. The food is delicious, staff attentive and the setting is oh so Braam (that's a great thing). The chicken liver pasta is too good! Tomatoey, creamy with a hint of chilli 🙌🏼 @The ribs and wings look beyond delicious! Extremely good value for money. A hidden gem for sure!

Brought my Homie here. His first time here. Had the Komo Estas sandwich on the pretzel bread... So damn good. Make your way here and have a lemonade too

Delicious lunches and friendly service, the restaurant is comforting and quirky. All food is tasty and homely, but sophisticated enough for the local hipsters.

Daleahs is always a lovely spot to hideout from the busyness of Braamfontein while peeping out and still being part of the vibing street outside, yesterday was no different.

What sets Daleahs apart from other restaurants is the lovely vibe that the restaurant always has everytime you pop in - how it literally feels like you're stepping into a different world.

We went there for breakfast, because I've heard only good things about Daleahs brekkie but never actually tried it myself.

I ordered a flat white espresso to sip on while I mulled over the menu a bit while my partner ordered the flap jacks.

I eventually settled on Rye French Toast and was not disappointed in the least! The meal is served with syrup and mixed fresh berries on the side - so yummy!

The toast was fluffy and there was more than enough food on my platter :)

Our waiter was also really relaxed and friendly, and not overwhelming in the way that waiters can somehow be! Bill was just over R200 for two people? Not bad.

Always really enjoy Daleahs. Will be heading back again - obvs!

I'm just really happy that they have started opening in the evenings as well. 😁 It's hard to find places with the same charm and ambience around Joburg. Plus Daleah herself is just a great person.

Walking into Deleah's, you can't help but smile. It's quirky and cool, laid back and fun. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the manager that was on duty, came to check on us twice. We had salads and fresh squeezed juices. Sitting on the pavement in the Johannesburg sun, it was a chilled little lunch session.
Braamfontien has loads to offer, but it's a fav spot for sure. What I like about it, is that its kind of just away from all the hustle and bustle so it's slightly less noisy and congested from the rest!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so naturally what I consume would be of highest importance. In my line of work when the whole team is working on various different projects that keep them away from the office, we like to have our status meetings at a cool place to eat. We chose Daleah's purely out of convenience so you can imagine my unexpected delight when the menu proposed to tantalize my taste buds. If my decaff Cappuccino was anything to go by I was in for a treat. I ordered the salmon omelet, I asked the kind waiter to add some cream cheese and chives (I know, i'm the worst patron) to it but as they were out of stock so I instead opted for feta. As I am sure you have already pieced together, i'm quite picky when it comes to my breakfast and most restaurants crumble...but not Daleahs. They prepared the meal like it was their very own special, It was delicious Reason couldn't even help but ask for a bite. I love Daleahs, since then I sneakily have all my braam meetings there and can't wait to visit again! They also hosted my colleague artist Reason's Freedon Day Breakfast on June 16th...what did i tell ya...true champions!!!

Daleah's is officially my new favourite eating spot in Jozi. Thanks to Zomato I've found a cosy little inviting restaurant that serves good food and good wine. I can't wait to go back and try the stuffed chicken and the ribs. I really enjoyed the creamy chicken livers pasta dish. The food is presentable and filling. Do yourself a favour and go past Daleah in Braam. Take your friends and family, they'll love it too.

Zomato hosted my June 16 at Daleah's without being aware of my little obsession about the place.

Me and my team always choose Daleah's for a great breakfast meeting and the've never let me down. this time they pre-cooked some nice goodies for us that had a variety of things from bacon, Sausages, pancakes, eggs & Assorted vegetables.

It almost felt like a breakfast designed for hangovers.

Their mixture of freshly made juice are boss too! you can mix diffent flavors to create one, and that went down pretty well.

Really Enjoyed myself.

Daleah is also a very cool lady too. Very shy and always tryina be in the background, but she's the sweetest. appreciate her extra efforts to host my breakfast.

What i love the most about this restaurant is, it is tiny and cosy. We decided to try out the chicken liver pasta. Which was absolutely delicious! We very well with a glass of their wine.
The service was good
The food was great
The ambience is amazing

This is one of Braam's most amazing eating spots. They have the best Red velvet Cake, it's my addiction and it goes well with that creamy cuppacino. #FoodieHeaven

What a little pretty gem in the heart of Braam. I'm not a coffee drinker but the coffee is amazing. And the food is even better. Great atmosphere and quirky décor. A must try.

The coffee is amazing. The food is delicious. Need I say more. Find it. You'll thank me. A little hidden gem in Braams! This deli will creep into your heart and never leave. Oh, how I love Daleah's!@

Daleahs eatery is a place I found about through Zomato's Freedom Brekkie where they introduced Reason as their ambassador. It's a cosy, homely place with amazing food. The Pesto Chicken and mushroom pasta is just the right amount of rich and totally delicious! 😍 Can't wait to go back and try the ribs!

Got invited to Daleah's on June 16 (Youth Day) for Freedom Day Breakfast Perfection!
Im not much of a beeakfast person but that waa some of the BEST breakfast ive had in a while. The flapjacks were a definite fav. Its also a very intimate space which I adored. Service was beautiful as well. Definitely going back! And that Egg and Tomato mix was best!

A true hidden gem with the worlds most amazing jalapeño poppers! This was my first of many more experiences. This spot is pretty small, which sucks, but everything else is on point! YOur main feature is food and you guys are truly great at that! Keep it up. It would be great though if you guys we in uniform, even as simple as a black top. Those bennies are dope, just not enough to make you stand out from your visitors.

Before downloading the app, I'd never heard of Daleah's but it appears its coz I'd been living under a rock. Went there this past Friday night with my friendo and it was definitely worth it. I ordered from the specials on the chalkboard above the counter - all options seemed yummy but I had to go with the mushroom and mozzarella stuffed chicken fillet, topped with Rocket and Feta with chips. Sounds good right? It was freaking delicious and along with a bottle of babel red, I couldn't have asked for a better Friday evening meal. Gugu Zwane had the Chicken Livers Pasta - it looked sooo good and I can imagine that it tasted good coz she didn't offer me a bite. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

One of my favourite spots in Joburg. Oscar was our waiter and he was friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious, served fresh. I had a stuffed chicken breast with roast vegetables on the side, so have memories of that meal

Great service, tasty food.
Located in the heart of Joburg.
This quirky restaurant melts my heart every time I eat there.
Their sandwiches are definitely the first thing I would recommend!

Great food! Full Breakfast and chicken sandwich were awesome! Side avo salad was a lovely surprise. Americano coffee was a little watered down to my taste, but it was a great price :D

Daleah' s is delightful. The ambiance is lovely - it's warm and buzzing inside, which was perfect for the chilly winter afternoon we went on. I had a gorgeous salad (with haloumi, artichoke and nuts and they didn't skimp on a thing) with chips which was fantastic. The service was quite good - waited maybe 10 minutes more for the food than we should have (I'm nitpicking) - and the staff were all really friendly.

Haven't had such good pasta in a while, had a chicken liver pasta and their Caesar salad, really great meal in a very nice little cafe. Will definitely be back

My best friends favorite restaurant and i must say, i love it too. Flooded with cool kids and hippies, but still has this classic ambiance to it. Love love love... Did i mention they have the best wings EVER
Nokuthula Peace Vezi
Quaint eatery in braam where cool kids and mzansi celebs frequent for awesome juices, dee-lish bites to eat and craft beers that overthrow the beloved zamalek. Perfect spot to chill and Instagram moments with friends. Service is superb so do check it out. Hashtag winning

Found this gem through a friend. It's situated in this lime green building, in Braamfontein. All I ever eat there are the pork ribs accompanied by the fries. I never try anything new except for the juices. I am so not ashamed of this, maybe one day in the near future I will try something new...

Not too long ago I entered a competition with Loubilover and Zomato in which I subsequently won and was given a R200 voucher to be used at Daleah's.

I'm a huge fan of pasta and so I ordered their Napoletana pasta along with their one of their famous smoothies. The meal was well presented on a wooden block and was served with a toasted bread roll. The pasta was al dente and the sauce was really nice. It only lacked some chilli.

The vibe is incredible and I highly recommend you go and try it out.

This place makes lovely coffee and yummy food. The vibe inside is cool but I think I liked it better without menus, with all the options on the giant chalkboard on the wall! It gets super busy on Saturdays but they're super generous (huge breakfast servings). Get the salmon scramble #best
Elizabeth Kobilski
A very nice, small restaurant, cool vibe, good food! Had the chicken and pasta - both very good, fresh salad. There is a printed menu as well as specials on the board. Definitely worth a try!

Favorite place in Braamfontein, they have great & fresh food and homemade juices. It would be nice if they added wines in their menu. Very accomodating for all ages in a student hub.
