A little Italian treasure in the 💚 Of Parkhurst. Having lived in Sorrento for a few years, this place took me right back ☀️. If you like options, fresh produce, platter type food and good coffee... Why have you not tried this place yet? 😬. I got to also buy fresh eggs and honey. Oh and profiteroles R Delish!! 😋

Amazing food and great atmosphere. Very nondescript little place, but lots of character with some really delicious Italian classics! Very reasonably priced for outstanding food and service

We had the most delicious, yummy lunch yesterday at Casa Marani. The homemade pasta (Alfredo) and platter for 2 was scrumptious. And we ended off with a slice of the blueberry cheesecake which tasted even better than it looked. Plus my very coffee fussy husband said his strong cappuccino was sublime The vibe was relaxed, family oriented and our girls enjoyed the play corner. The service was great too. What a wonderful gem and certainly will have our support

A little bit of Italy right on our doorstep!! We ordered titbits from the deli heaven to be served as a platter for 2, sat on the vibey sidewalk and devoured these delicious morsels of Italy with a side of yummy Prosecco (BYO). Italian cheese, cold meats and marinated veggies accompanied by a basket of bread.....what a wonderful way to spend a Sunday arvie. Amazing service and friendly owners too! We will be back very soon :)

Cosy Italian place with authentic food and a festive vibe. The arrabbiata was excellent as was the chicken limone. The service was super friendly and quick. All in all, a good way to spend a lazy Saturday lunch in Jozie.

Our meal was amazing, and I get the feeling that is a norm here. Casa Mariani is so proper Italian that our waitress even pronounced it "spaghet" I regret not visiting sooner.

Popped in for a coffee and ended up having a really delicious lasagna, clean with good service and original Italian food that I haven't found anywhere else, you can also buy frozen meals to prepare at home

New location but still the same amazing vibe and food! This is the closest that you will come to experiencing Italy without leaving home!

The coffee is incredible and the food is so authentically Italian, with top quality cured meats and cheeses. Moreover though, the staff are incredibly homely - best service I've found in Johannesburg because they have a genuine interest in making you feel welcome and looked after.

So, when I phoned to book I happened to mention that it was a "special occasion". With little expectation we arrived and were absolutely blown away by the experience, spending almost 3.5 hours there enjoying ourselves, the food and their (the proprietor's) company. Simple and understated, what you see is what you get, and there's an understated authenticity about it that makes it truly a unique experience in the context of 4th Avenue, Parkhurst. Take a bottle of bubbly and make a day of it! This is up there with the best of experiences we've ever had at a restaurant of any kind.

This is undoubtedly the best Italian deli in Joburg. The place is run by real Italians - a mother and daughter duo. They don't skimp on quality and service is excellent. They offer light meals and coffees or (my favourite) pre-made pasta dishes that you can take home to pass off as your own! 😜 If you're looking for a real taste of Italy, you can't go wrong.

First visit for lunch today. Fabulous homemade tagliatelle amatriciana, with generous portioning, and perfectly cooked. Other members of the party enjoyed the shakshouka, and we all appreciated the friendly and attentive service. Coffees were good, and the only downside was a tiramisu which, while tasty, was close to frozen when served.
