Mugg and Bean Eastgate is fantastic! The staff are well trained, pleasant and great at their jobs. Managers, Dickson and Patience are on the ball and are on top of everything. We frequent the restaurant a few time a week and are never unhappy.

Great food, great service. I love people watching and so enjoy sitting out when I'm there. My only complaint is that you don't have plug points for the days I want to eat and work. Hope it's something you are looking to change at some point.

Our waitress, Methu, made our whole experience beautiful. Her service was impeccable. I was with my nephew so my parents forgot to order for him and she came to us away from the table to see if he wanted food. Beautiful personality and treated us with such kindness. Needed a bit of cheering up today so went to visit m@b at Bedford today while my kids were at the bookshop. We were welcomed so warmly by the beautiful waitron Methu. She quickly cleaned up our table that had just been vacated and I can say that all of our meals were top notch. Way better than other mugg and beans we've been to. Thank you Methu for your welcoming attitude and just making us feel valued. You added little touches that so many often overlook.

Very clean restaurant. Not noisy. Fast delivery of orders. Delicious meals. Friendly waiters.
The only downside was the effects of loadshedding. We had finished our food but had to wait another 20 min extra to pay the bill as the speed point system was still loading, by then our hour meeting had ended. The stress was mounting seeing that we were getting delayed for going back to our workplaces.

The quality of the food wasn't bad, but for the very high price I was sorely disappointed with the quantity. The platter for two was barely snack size at a meal size price.

Food terrible, service even worse. Ordered a a Power Smoothy that literately tasted like nothing. The kiddies chicken burger had two things on it, lettuce and a piece of chicken. All this whilst menu succulent chicken breast... Tasted more like cardboard to me..... I would not recommend anybody visit this outlet.

Not a pleasant meal here last night. I ordered falafel, spinach and feta in flatbread. It took ages for our food to arrive. When it did my meal was filled with rocket. No spinach in sight. I don't eat rocket so called the manager over. She explains they have no baby spinach so they put in rocket. I asked her if it is not reasonable to check with the patron first if they will eat the rocket or if they would prefer to choose something else from the menu. It had not dawned on them . What if they do this and substitute something that a patron is allergic to? In addition why could they not go to woolworths which is a little walk down the centre and get some baby spinach. We asked for a small glass of water for our son which finally arrived on second request. They gave my husband a sauce that had curdled and was fermenting. We will never go back....

This place is a dump! The toilets are disguistingly dirty and not maintained. Don't even have toilet holders. Everything is falling appart. Came to Eastgate from the country for shopping..... expected a luxurious envoitonment.... feels like I am at a dump! OMG! The food is worse. Cold food not properly cooked. After I ordered I saw the bad reviews. How is this place still in busines?

Only cause theres no 0 as an option. Worst service. Wait over 30 min for food then to get a dry burger with old bread and no sauces. Followed by a lovely chicken bone between the chicken patty. Get it together.

This is the Worst Mugg& Bean I've EVER been to.
Firstly we get there and it takes ten minutes for them to realise we're waiting for someone to take our order. Then they took 20 minutes to get our drinks- ten minutes to get us our coffees and realise it's wrong and then another ten to make new ones. Even after the drinks came, my soya milk latte was made with normal milk. During this time we placed our food order. The food then proceeded to take forever ... EVERYONE around us got their food before us- even those people who came after me. Eventually after over 45 minutes of waiting the food, asking many people to check, it finally arrives and is then ice cold. When I complain they still made me pay for the drinks without so much as an apology. I ask for a piece of cake and they don't give it to me. Absolutely ridiculous service!

Ordered a cuppachino with cream and it arrived and the cream tasted like cottage cheese. I then had a manager argue with me saying the cream tasted fine to him and two managers. Then I get told if I don't like it that's the way it is. They then preceded to tell us they have run out of mozzarella.... In today's day and age? Really??

It would make things much better if you served halaal or include halaal chicken or something in your meals. I invited my friend for coffee and scones and croissants. My friend and I had something to drink. Ordered scones. There's no scones. Ordered croissants. No more left. I love your scones and croissants. This is the 3rd time I had this experience. My friend and I got up and went to eat elsewhere.

Really bad experience, the manager came with unpleasant attitude towards my mom for taking photos and checking in at, i understand if it is a policy that customers cant take photos, butshe told my mom directly " Why are you taking photos", which was really direspectful, i mean we just wanted to check in and post photos o our breakfast. Never coming here again, i mean we live in a world where everyone is posting on social media.
