Best Salads ever lovely Roastery and Cafe freshly squeezed juices good coffee loved the experience Ribeyes salad and sticky chicken off the chart...

My new spot for an Eggs Bennie! Loved the service, the beautiful aroma of freshly roasted and ground coffee and attention to detail. The Americanos and Cappuccinos were also quite delicious, kids absolutely raved about the Peanut butter and Banana Milkshakes and the Cookies and Cream milkshake. The cakes were also very fresh and quite decadent! Yummy. I will definitely be doing another review with photos of the food. Eggs Royale is highly recommended, as well as the Darling Fry up and the Brekkie Buns....the classic Benedict was also a treat. Sorry, trumped Mugg & Bean as well as Doppio Zero this time around.

A must try, better than all mall of the south restaurants, exceptional service and food. Lovely coffee, went with my mom she had a pasta dish and I had a burger lovely .I’ve been there with a friend for breakfast as well,never disappoints. Highly recommended

The manager is so friendly. The atmosphere is amazing. We had breakfast on a Sunday morning and I'll definitely be going back there soon.

A real gem in the heart of JHB South! The owners, management and waiters are ALL incredible, helpful, kind and an absolute breath of fresh air! This spot will definitely continue to flourish and be blessed through their friendly and family focused way of running business!

Extremely friendly staff, run by an absolutely amazing wife and husband couple. Home roasted beans means some of the best coffee options I've had in South Africa. Loved my avo and poached egg breakfast. The freshly squeezed juices were also extremely refreshing. You can easily see why Just Darling has far more patrons visiting it than the surrounding coffee shops.

If there was a 10 star this would be it. The service is always tops. Memory has become family. We are always greeted as long lost family and treated as if we are the only clients around. the food is always great and this is the place to go when you need a break from the crowd.

A true friendly welcome upon arrival, staff and management are attentive to their customers. The coffee is amazing, roasted in-store, and the unique breakfast offerings are really a gastronomical journey of varying choices. My favourite is the Eggs Hollandaise breakfast. A worthwhile experience. Can get busy, put your name on the waiting list, it's worth the wait...

If I can get breakfast at 4pm, and it's this good. I recommend it. Charles, was amazing. Great food, good vibe and friendly service. I was especially impressed with the portions.

This really is an amazing place, whether you are meeting a friend for coffee or having lunch with the whole family, this is the place! Their food, COFFEE and all the sweet treats make it a must visit in the South of JHB!

This place is just amazing. Unbelievably friendly staff and superbly prepared food. I have yet to find something on the menu that isn't brilliant. The Philly Cheese steak is my favourite but their buckets and wraps are unbelievable. The coffee is amazing and the desert, well, pure heaven.<br/>

Lovely breakfast with my friends. I had the avo lovers breakfast and freshly squeezed carrot, pineapple and orange juice. Interesting flavours. The menu has a big variaty to choose from. Great service and good food. Would definitely recommend Just Darling to anyone.

Disappointing. Reviews sound great and loads of different yummies on the menu but food was the same as the decor.....beige. Corn scramble was flavorless.....no seasoning in the eggs. The tortilla was served in a bowl and difficult to eat and completely tasteless. All I could taste was red onion. No seasoning on tomatoes. Even the basil pesto and rocket was lifeless. Food lacking TCL and passion.<br/>

I have just enjoyed a delicious and satisfying breakfast with a friend. Just Darling continue to bring fresh menu ideas to the table and their warm, welcoming ambience is a real winter comfort.

I have never had a bad meal here, the staff are always friendly and the place has a really nice vibe. Gets super busy at the weekend but midweek is a dream.

I was very excited to visit Just Darling as I haven’t been here in awhile and remember the breakfasts being to die for.<br/><br/>Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed by the breakfasts. The spicy eggs were delicious, however, there were three measly pieces of chorizo in the dish. The eggs Benedict was not good at all, the sauce tasted like sand, it was very weird.<br/><br/>I am hoping it was just a once off bad experience because as I said I remember the food here being very good.

Just Darling is a little heaven (true to its name).It has lovely service and an excellent menu. I’d suggest the chicken prego or Halloumi wrap and then just work your way through their menu day after day.<br/><br/>If it’s a friendly and comfortable but classy vibe you are looking for this is the place for you.<br/><br/>P.S. Their chips are amazing - soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside with the chips spice too

This is a little darling of a Restuarant / Cafe situated on the Mall of the South. The earthy tones used in the decor, give it a relaxing calm ambience. The menu is very basic , from a good selection of breakfasts to burgers , baskets and club sandwiches. I opted for the classic cheese burger with a side salad. The salad was refreshing and arrived better than expected. The burger I felt was too salty for my liking , But nonetheless enjoyable ! My partner enjoyed her chicken prego served on ciabatta bread. The chicken strip basket was awesome too , could have done with more strips but lovely light and crispy ! .. as were the fries ! Just Darling serves some good quality food with good friendly service ! I will definitely go back !

Best coffee in town, amazing feel and food, very vintage and comfy feel. Staff are delightful! I go weekly for my coffee fix. Love the little place so much that all the staff know us by now!

Have just found a new gem. Breakfast was superb and the cappuccino is best in town. Went back a few days later for light lunch and had same experience. Chicken cheese cake is highly recommended.

Lovely place to have breakfast, the decor creates a relaxing environment. The staff are friendly. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and The Frenchie, both were prepared to our satisfaction. The only downside was the drinks took a long time considering they were not very busy. <br/><br/>We will consider trying this restaurant again!<br/><br/>

What an amazing joint in the south. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. I ordered granita's to go as I was spaced for time. Whilst waiting there's a bar table to wait at and you can browse through the menu. On payment you can use Zapper and if it's your first time there you get R25 deducted from the bill. <br/><br/>Will definitely be back to try out the meals. <br/>Sounds and looks deliciously good!

Lovely coffees ! The Vietnamese coffee is my favorite . I love that freshly roasted and ground coffee beans can be purchased here . I ordered a crostini which was not crisp and oil drenched , and on another occasion the quiche was uncooked . The staff removed these items from my order with no fuss which I appreciated .the freshly prepared breakfasts were really good though .

I have to say that this is one of my favourites for breakfast. Although it is quite small, the people, service and food is great and I am yet to be disappointed.

Ok so then I'm a huge cafe fanatic oh and I'm obsessed with interior. This cafe right here does it for me . It's so stunning that while you wait for the food your mesmerized by the decor 😍. Not only is it stunning the service is superb so is the food . I ordered the Mexican burger , I was really craving a good burger and it did just that . My lunch date ordered the chicken wrap which was also fresh and delicious. I can't wait to come back 🙌🏾😀

Went to Just Darling for a little lunch to celebrate my step dads birthday, and what a treat it was!<br/>My mister and I shared the classic burger, which was delicious! And my chips actually arrived crispy, as requested, yay! While we were there the owner popped past and taught us about the coffee beans, which they roast on-site I must add, and coffee pourers, which was really enlighting, I never knew coffee pourers existed! At Just Darling you can also purchase coffee beans or have them ground up to take home. <br/>On a whole, great service, yummy food, delicious coffee and milkshakes, all set in a really beautiful, cosy space, with a fabulous vibe! We'll be back!!!

Just Darling is definitely an asset to the South. Definitely one of, if not, the best coffee shop in the south. Their Lindt hot chocolate is amazing. If I have to find something that was wrong, their coffee is served a little to hot, but still a good cup. There meals are pretty simple but very tasty. I did find that their Rosti is a bit soggy. <br/><br/>The service is brilliant and the setting of the shop is really nice. <br/><br/>They are pretty busy, but definitely worth waiting for a table.

Finally the South of Johannesburg gets a great place to eat. Just Darling is exactly that, just darling!<br/><br/>The food is good, had their chicken,avo and feta ciabatta mmmmm delicious. The right amount of everything, plus ordered an beautiful glass of whine with my meal. <br/><br/>Coffee is amazing!!!! Roasted in house while you sit and enjoy your cup of coffee made to perfection.

This little gem packs a punch .Hidden in the downstairs corner of Mall of the South aromas of fresh coffee and toasted bread waft your way. Friendly and attentive staff add to the experience, great breakfast place if you are looking for niche and not a franchise. Mushrooms are a must :-)

What a super find! Everything from the manager being really friendly to the staff being efficient and helpful! This Café is a rare find for both Joburg, let alone the South. Totally reminds me of the spaces in Cape Town. Food was good, yummy, fresh & just enough! They would get a 5 if they weren't in a Mall! 😊

Absolutely love this cafe! I went here today with my parents, I'd been meaning to go here for a while and actually got the opportunity today, and was not at all disappointed! Stunning layout, decor and the friendliest staff I've ever been served by! The food and drinks were also absolutely amazing and to make this place even better they roast their own coffee on site and they sell it to the public along with pestos and chili sauces! If you choose to buy the coffee they will also grind it for you absolutely free! I had the chai latte as my drink which was absolutely divine with its heart shaped biscuit to accompany it and then for lunch I had the chicken and basil pesto wrap. Oh My Word. I have never had a more delicious wrap in my entire life! It was so delicious that I ate half there and took the other half home for dinner and even then it still tasted just as good. Super impressed with this beautiful cafe and I will definitely be back to pay regular visits!

Favourite breakfast place and general coffee hangout. Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Great effort put into the decor makes it really unique. I have the avo lovers breakfast which is amazing, I highly recommend it. A lot of effort is put into the coffee which is roasted on site, the owner goes to great lengths to get a good blend. The lunches look amazing and I have heard really good things among bout then from friends. Can't recommend the place enough

Had breakfast here a couple times. Every time I have been, the staff were really friendly and the food was very good. Loved the vibe and decor.

Nice place, great atmosphere. Service was great. Ordered a vanilla late and a wild mushroom breakfast which was amazing, however the poached egg was too well done, mom has the quiche of the day and loved it.The shop itself is greatly decorated however is far too small. Overall a good morning

Decided to pop in here for a little breakfast after checking it out on my Zomato feed. <br/><br/>This restaurant has a very homey and artisanal feel to it which makes it very easy to settle in quick. As you walk in you're welcomed by an arrangement of freshly baked goods and a very delicious aroma of fresh coffee that flows throughout the place. <br/><br/>They have a great menu that features some delectable treats spanning from tasty little breakfasts to hunger busting burgers. They also have an awesome drinks menu filled with a variety of coffees, milkshakes and other things to quench your thirst. <br/><br/>I tucked in to a plate of the Darling Fry Up breakfast with Rye Bread, accompanied by a Cappuccino. The coffee was really good and the breakfast very tasty. All the elements were cooked well with the freshly baked Rye bread being he real star of the show. <br/><br/>Just Darling is a great place to pop in for a quick coffee or to sit down and enjoy a delicious home styled meal. It has a lovely ambience, good service and the food is pretty top notch too.

The name itself suggests that this café is going to be quaint and delightful. Well..... I did not experience any such delight.<br/><br/>I went to this café on two occasions. The first occasion I tried it out over some lunch. The manager had a bright smile and graciously took me to my table. The aroma of coffee filled the air and the robust smell complimented the decor.<br/><br/>The café was not busy by no means, yet I experienced painfully slow service. A tad bit annoyed, I proceeded to place my order which was a chai latte and a halloumi vegetable wrap. The latte took twenty minutes to arrive and by that time it was disappointingly room temperature (I want my hot drinks to be hot). The wrap was mediocre in terms of flavour. The halloumi cheese (the scarce pieces that were to be tasted) were rather good. I finished off my lunch with a glass of refreshing strawberry juice.<br/><br/>On the second occasion that I went here, I was simply eyeing out their baked goods. I stood there for approximately fifteen minutes before even being noticed, despite the fact that three waiters and the manager walked past me. When a waiter finally decided to acknowledge my presence, he destroyed three pieces of cake by using tongs to pick up the cake instead of a cake lifter. I eventually took my own pieces as he was going to destroy every last piece at this rate. At the cost of their cakes - I expected pure perfection. My mouth was met with overwhelming dryness and at times, burnt frosting.<br/><br/>A bit of staff training and originality will do this place wonders.....

5 that would be my rating or maybe a 10 out of 10 this is a must go ....and is noted  as i just started working in the mall at loccitane french skin care store  i had no choice but to try this friendly ,homey coffee shop where i feel like family ......not only do they take my crazy request on how i take my coffee and tea but makes it the way i have it at home even better ...there toasted breads is a must aswell .......this would have to be on the top 10 of coffee bars

I absolutely love the food. Finally a place in the Alberton area that serves good tasty food!!! And not to mention the great service. I also really enjoy the milkshakes. My favourite being the peanut butter milkshake.

What an absolutely beautiful place with AMAZING desserts 😍😍 this place was the highlight of my day. Do yourself a favor and try their cakes, so fresh and so delicious, berry cheesecake for the win👍🏽. Their sandwiches and milkshakes were tasty too! Definitely coming back!! And their service was on point. Can't fault it

I just finished having a light lunch at this venue. The banting options are limited so I chose the classic cheese burger and removed the bun when it arrived. The food is served on a small chopping board and the salad in a small bowl. I found both too small as I was eating with cutlery and found it uncomfortable. The food was enjoyable though. It offers coffee which is suppose to be good, I however am not a coffee drinker.<br/>It's okay as a coffee shop / breakfast venue. <br/>

This has to be one of the best coffee shop in the mall, they serve great coffee and the food is excellent. The service is friendly and efficient.

I don't know if you've heard of the new Mall Of The South that opened in Mulbarton/Meyersdal area, but there's the cutest/coolest/friendliest place that opened. It's a small space, owned by a friend of mine, Gary, and his wife. The restaurant were formally on a raspberry farm, but moved because of this prime location. And boy, have they caused quite a talk among mall-goers. They're constantly packed to the max. People are queuing to get in....and that was even before they had their liquor Licence (which they do have now, and serving a selected few craft beers). <br/><br/>Their food and cakes are all freshly made. Last time I went I had their rump steak ciabatta, with added Brie cheese......*heavenly, my friend. I paired it with a Darling Brew Slow beer, and it was delicious. <br/><br/>You DEFS gotta make your way down there!

A great place within the mall to eat and have really good coffee. The owners and staff exude friendliness. I have been here a number of times. Probably the best place to eat in MOTS!

I absolutely loved ''Just Darling', it's peaceful and the restaurant is stunning. The staff are super friendly and the menu is tremendously unique and will tickle anyone's taste buds.

While I admit I might have chosen the worse time to visit them on a later Friday night about 45 minutes before closing. All we had was coffee and cake. The coffee was not good as I asked for an Americans got a sense of 'what is that look' and it did disappoint. The cake was okay. The most upsetting factor was them pushing the tables around while we were trying to relax and enjoi our cake after a long week. In future I will given them another try as a number of people I have chatted to were surprised that I didn't have a pleasant experience.

I highly recommend this place if you're a coffee enthusiast. <br/>I've been here a couple of times. Their coffee is roasted in house and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It was a medium roast with complex flavors. <br/>Also ordered some of their cakes. These are baked fresh in the kitchen on site. The ingredients they use are really high quality (I could taste the lindt chocolate on the Boston Creme Cake) resulting in a very tasty cake. <br/>The only reason I don't rate them higher is the service is somewhat inconsistent. On one occasion it took about 15 minutes to be attended to after being seated by the waiter. We asked the waiter a question about one of the cakes, he said he'll be back but walked past us a few times. We eventually switched tables and were served by a very friendly waiter after. <br/>When we came back later to order some cake and beans to take home, the waitress (who didn't even serve us) remembered that we were there earlier and attended to us in a very friendly manner which was a great customer experience. <br/>I can't wait to go back and give this place a higher rating because I know they deserve it and will deliver a very good product again.

What a funky little place! Stopped in for a quick lunch! Service was great and the owners/manager were very attentive! The ginger and pineapple smoothie was amazing! And they roast their own coffee in store! You can buy some to take home along with other items for the home. The roasted and toasted salad was delicious with a lovely dressing on the side! Worth a visit if you in the mall, beats the run of the mill places!

When eating at MOTS, Just Darling is our restaurant of choice. The food is delicious, the cakes are fantastic but the coffee is just of out of this world! Portions are generous and won't blow the budget either. Menu is uncomplicated yet diverse at the same time. Just love the place!

Lovely atmosphere and decor at this small, in comparison to other MOTS, venues. Service was friendly and efficient. They roast their own beans and the waiters are knowledgable about this process, menu items and the going ons of the establishment, which is a breath of fresh air lately. Food is tasty and fresh and portions are well sized leaving one feeling comfortable after enjoying the fare. Not ideal for a business meeting as this seems a firm favorite for the 'pram mommy' crowd, But definitely a return to spot.

I really would like to give them a higher rating. However I often pop into the mall for a large cappuccino (to which I am addicted!) but cannot justify paying R5 more for Just Darling's versus Mugg n Bean.<br/><br/>Location is also a little stuck to one side, in a corner, which may be to their disadvantage. Overall though food, cake and coffee is first class.

Just darling is apt description for this lovely little southern gem! The service, decor and food were all exceptional! The prices incredibly reasonable too.

Beautiful, quirky decor with a relaxed chic atmosphere. Staff friendly and inviting. We enjoyed a delicious lindt latte, freezo chino and pineapple ginger smoothy all of which were inviting and delicious. Definitely a must when visiting the Mall of the South.

This is an exquisite café and a welcome addition to the addition to the "café / coffee culture " in the south. Service was excellent. Enjoyed my hazelnut latte and scones served fresh. Will have to go back to try their wraps and sandwiches. If you visit this mall do pay a visit.

The beautiful cafe is one of the gems in the new Mall of the South! And it is the first coffee roastery in Jozi South, their coffee really is delish. Their meals are fresh and the coffee beans even fresher. The interior is absolutely beautiful and the best is that all the decor is for sale too, the best of Biggie Best. The team at Just Darling are committed to both service and quality.

I hate to have to admit that within five days of this beautiful café styled restaurant opening I have been here twice. Although it is situated in the busy Mall of the South Just Darling has a warm and inviting ambiance that draws you away from the bustle of the shopping centre into their beautifully decorated interior. <br/>But enough about how aesthetically pleasing Just Darling is, it's the food that will keep you coming back. All the dishes I have tasted are nothing short of spectacular. The halloumi wrap is so fresh and crisp and stuffed with fillings, I especially liked the long strips of carrot and cucumber. The Amazing Mushroom Burger is also divine and is a perfect, filling meal for a vegetarian. <br/>Just Darling is an amazing new addition to Meyersdal and I look forward to visiting again (and devouring one of the Hummingbird Cakes).<br/>
