Awesome homemade-style food they made sure to cater for me even if I didn’t call ahead as I am vegan but surprisingly had vegan options at their buffet so I was really happy! Great live music, lots of happy people and very very strong drinks🤣

Probably one of my favourite places in Johannesburg. The food and drinks, the staff, the music, the overall feel of the place. Its a must go to! For breakfast, for lunch, brunch, dinner and even to dance, this is your place! (Claps hands). Affordable prices and great portions on everything! Highly recommended!

Wonderful quaint and artistic restaurant. Enjoyed the ambience but the service was exceptionally slow even though the restaurant was not full over a late breakfast on a Saturday. Have had better shakshuka but portions are great and I am keen to go again to see if the experience can be better.

I visited this restaurant last year when it was still in Melville and I must say that their vibe is on another level. Their food. Their staff. Their aesthetic. Definitely a lovely place to hangout with friends over a few drinks or over a nice meal. This restaurant is definitely on my top 10 to check out list.

We were at Poppys last night and I loved it. The cocktails food music prices everything was amazing. I had my two sons with me and they felt at home just as I did. Our waiter was amazing... No complaints. We will be back.

A group of us decided to go Poppy's on Easter Sunday after hearing so many people brag about how nice the place is. They must be her friends because it was absolutely terrible. The seating was bad as we were sitting on the pavement with a curtain as a table cloth. The cocktail drinks were awful and the owner herself was rude & unaccomodating. Sorry but we will never spend our money there again.
