Excellent dinner and service at Beira Alta last night. Had the T-Bone steak and my wife had the fillet. Both grilled to perfection. Particularly enjoyed the Portuguese basting they use on the T-Bone steak. The dessert was a Pyramid Chocolate Log Cheese Cake. This was not up to par for me. The combination of the cottage cheese, tennis biscuit and chocolate actually made it quite a dry dessert.... hence the four stars instead of five.

I had the Trinchado which is on the Monte Casino night out for 2 promotion. Great tasting food and good service. On a Saturday night it's gets pretty full. Make a booking to avoid disappointment.

If you ask me to recommend one restaurant to explore in Montacasino? I will quickly recommend Beira-Alta and this is not because the Chicken peri peri I was served beat me to it, (as a chicken lover, I could not finish the chicken I was served😁😍), well grilled and really really some niceness in a plate for me.
I was skeptical when we arrived there in group, but was wowed in few minutes of settling down, nothing extraordinary, I however found Beira-Alta very natural and homely. The view of Montacasino from the restaurant captivated me. They got friendly staff (some of them however got some attitude), but in all the experience was worthwhile.

Beautiful and warm setting! We always order the 1kg prawns with chips - it's absolutely delicious! However when we chose the half rice, half chips option the rice was overcooked and therefore was quite disappointing. We also tried the Trinchado starter which was the tastiest I've ever had! The meat was super tender and the sauce was very well balanced and seasoned. Was not too happy about our waiter as he was quite robotic and unfriendly even though the place was not busy at all (Tues evening) but perhaps he was just having a bad personal day.

This old styled restaurant has at its core an incredible staff - they truly make the night shine.
When asking about the heat of the peri peri chicken, the waiter brought me a few dabs with sample bread to dip and try each flavor to ensure I was happy. Epic!
The restaurant itself is beautiful and the atmosphere toned down for a more intimate evening than a loud shout.
The food was brilliant! Perfectly cooked meat with ample sauce and enough sides.
All in all a brilliant restaurant!

Food and service is absolutely amazing from starters to mains. Weather you have chicken, steak or prawns you won't be disappointed. Real value for money. The prawns were the highlight for me. It was fresh and cooked to perfection.

Awesome food. The chicken and prawn combo blew my mind. The food was so good that nothing else matters. But if you must know, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is great too. Live music normally just outside the restaurant.

Good spot for a touch of sophistication, whilst keeping it casual. Good seafood. Lovely staff. Prawns are great! Fabulous fiery sauce that you can't help your self but dab a little more of onto everything.

Went there on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant was filling so I would advise making a reservation in advance. The food was amazing. I had the grilled chicken which was cooked to perfection. The menu is priced decently. I would definitely be back.
