Very nice restaurant with great food. If Steak, chops and ribs are you favorite then this place is perfect. The service is good and friendly as well as attentive. The relaxed atmosphere allows for an enjoyable meal. Day or night, it is a good place to go for a good meal as a group or as a couple. It can accommodate large groups but is not too child friendly.

Nice ambiance for dinner. I had the ribs and my friend had the oxtail which was perfectly done. Our waiter Clement was attentive and friendly. We received a complementary inhouse wine. Definitely would recommend.

This Turn 'n Tender has the best atmosphere of all the branches. It is a pity that the one in Cresta closed down, but it did not have the atmosphere of the one in Parktown. Some owners want to make the restaurant too big to make more profit, but then compromise on the atmosphere. We have visited this TT for many years. Food is good, although we had to send back my skillit since it was not warm enough when delivered.

Will recommend highly. My father enjoyed one of the best steaks he has ever had. The steak I had was cooked well to bring out all the flavour. If your lookong for flavour and staff that enjoy what they do then make sure you try them out.

We frequent the restaurant often. They have a consistently good quality of food. It's honestly one of the top 10 favourites in our house! Lovely staff too! All round winner!

Great service and value for money, particularly because of this restaurant is located in a relatively nice area. The floor manager and waiters were very good, in contrast with the lack of carisma of the “owner”. I got a rib eye on the bone, and it was very good, maybe a bit done for a medium rare. The menu online has Heineken and Castle light but they only have cbc and devils peak craft on tap, which I really like, but maybe not the best for leas sophisticated palates.

Turn 'n Tender Parktown North has been around for quite some time and I am wondering why I haven’t been there sooner. It’s situated on a trendy intersection, with decent parking in the back (I am not one for parallel parking) so its relatively easy access. If you are lucky enough to meet Guy, the owner, let him take you through what the brand has to offer. I always love it when the Owners and Management are passionate about what they do, as it translates into the food quality, and preparation. TnT have launched a new Gin menu, and I think they will score high brownie points for us all Gin lovers, and they have a good variety with options so you can have it any way you prefer. As for the food options, they have such an extensive menu, ranging from the Starters, to mains and right down to desserts, they have more than 5 options so you can imagine, no picky eater will leave there hungry. They do also cater for vegetarians, and have some Chicken options, ( or Ostrich for the health conscious) but I mean come on, it’s a steak house, WE WANT MEAT, and lots of it. Guy took us through the various cuts of Ribeye (drool) and explained the difference between the cuts as well as grain fed vs free range, which meats produce better flavor vs tenderness. So getting to our dinner, for starters we ordered a variety to get a taste of all the different flavours. Some will please, others not. I for one, LOVED the Tempura Prawns, the taste and the crunch was just delicious. The Louisana Hot Wings were Yummy, but I think I expected a bit more Kick to it. The Focaccia bread was divine, it wasn’t the usual round thin Pizza like one, but this was more like your deep pan kinda bread, and smothered with some butter, it’s a winner. The Marrow bones, eh, I know it’s a favourite for some, we had the one cooked it its own broth. I personally didn’t think it was the star of the evening, but my fellow foodies indulged. If I had to try it again, I would need some spice to it, or maybe try the other version apparently cooked in wine. The Fried Camembert Cheese with Fig jam, was ooey gooey cheesy and who doesn’t love cheese? For mains, we could not help ourselves but order the Ribeye, Guy again gave us some good suggestions in terms of what we want to order, one ordered it off the bone, the other with the bone. I ordered mine with a chilli basting – medium -ish ( along with pap and gravy) , where someone else had a pepper crust. As with meat orders, you need to have Onion rings, and TnT do it both ways. Battered, or thin and crispy. The battered ones were flipping fantastic, whereas the thin version was a slight let down. Another friend decided not to follow the pack and had Ribs, and they were definitely finger licking, (and comes with a BIB, just in case you really get into it.) As far as drinks are concerned, I had my usual Cosmopolitan, which is what I like to judge most restaurants on (that and well Milktart and Carrot cakes if that’s on the dessert menu) They passed wih flying colours, it was spot on. I must admit, I was defeated by the Ribeye, I just couldn’t finish such a massive piece, and I needed to have space for dessert. All of us needed space. I have been craving chocolate the whole week so I wanted to taste the Chocolate Brownie, my friends ordered the Lemon cheesecake and the Malva pudding. It was an American style brownie, warm, and gives that fuzzy feeling inside, the smell was enough to make you want to eat it. All I can say is GO. Take a friend, a lover, a partner and go sit and chill and just indulge in some really good food, the shooters are fab (we had the Milktart shotters – Y.U.M.M.Y) and we had great service from Simelezi. They do have some specials on certain days, even though I can safely say they are quite reasonably priced, and the portion sizes are not stingy. So keep an eye on their facebook page. If you get to meet Guy, tell him I sent you and let him take you through what their brand has.
