Review Marble Restaurant - Johannesburg

Anastasia M
Marble Restaurant in Johannesburg was an absolute delight. Wonderful ambiance and intimate experience. Low light candles/lighting. Wine cellars aligned the wall of some of South Africa and international best wines. marble overlooks the city and provides an amazing view. The pictures on Google do not do this restaurant any justice. Service from the time you exit the car to the elevator on up and to the time you leave this establishment; you'll be treated like royalty. Our waitress was extremely polite, patient, and caring through the time of us dining here. If I want an elevated fine dining experience; this is the place. However, I will say the fish was a tad bit overcooked for the price you pay, but that truly was my only complaint. All the other food was delicious, reasonable priced for fine dining and fulfilling. If you're visiting or living here and want to show out for a night, I would highly recommend Marble.

We booked a table for three for a lunch. the restaurant is hard to find (just a small stone outside of an elevater with the name marble) - BUT a super friendly man with a yellow umbrella will show you there :) the inside of the restaurant is incredible beautiful. never saw this kind of nice toilets honestly. the food was excellent (i had the 200g beef fillet). the wine menu is stunning! five star. and hope to be back soon

Definitely lives up to its reputation of one of the best restaurants in Joburg. The french oinion soup was absolutely delicious. The rib-eye was juicy, tender, and done to perfection. The venue is rich, with views of jhb and the chefs kitchen. Well worth the price.

This place definately does live up to the expectations and I hope it continues to do so. I left happy, tipsy , safe and satisfied . Great experience , price matches the food quality - although the sandwich dessert wasn't spectacular- I still give a 5 .

Wow ! Such a fancy restaurant !! Its truly deserves all five stars!! However, what truly stood out to me was the remarkable size and comfort of the restaurant's toilet room. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. The spaciousness and luxurious amenities made it feel more like a private sanctuary than a mere restroom. The marble fixtures, tasteful lighting, and pristine cleanliness added an air of sophistication and elegance. In fact, the toilet room was so spacious and comfortable that I couldn't help but imagine the possibility of shooting a music video inside it. The thought of such a unique and visually stunning setting for a videoclip is a testament to the attention to detail and thoughtfulness that went into the design of this space. Beyond the extraordinary toilet room, the overall atmosphere of Marble Restaurant is one of refined opulence. The restaurant offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Johannesburg skyline, creating an unforgettable backdrop for a truly memorable dining experience. The staff consistently demonstrated professionalism and a genuine passion for their craft, ensuring that every aspect of my visit was nothing short of exceptional.

Beautiful view and atmosphere. To sit at the chef's table and observe food cooked in a primal manner, coal and fire, a fair exchange for a brief education. I would have liked to meet Chef Higgs, I saw him in passing but didn't get the opportunity to express my gratitude for such a well thought out menu, and to also inquire if her made the decision for the bar menu as well. My drinks were excellent. The fennel on which my duck rested, accompanied by beetroot, were the perfect contrasts of flavor and texture. I felt like the critic from the children's movie Ratatouille.... I was taken to a place long forgotten, or maybe never before seen! Service, like having your needs met before you can request. Your seat being gently pulled away as you raise or pushed under you each time you leave or arrive. My most genuine surprise, the restrooms are completely private and individual.... A very completing detail.

Service? 10/10, that's what I enjoy about such dining experiences. They open your chair for you each time you get back to your seat. Food? 10/10, flavorful and decent portions. I ordered the Duck, sister 1 had pork belly, and sister 2 had the melon and duck salad. All to die for. Good music and beautiful views. Highly recommended!!!

A Johannesburg fine-dining institution. Probably one of the most popular places to see and be seen. This is an upscale restaurant with the decor, lighting, setup, cleanliness reflecting the high standards and the high prices. Has a great bar area which overlooks Northcliff so a great spot for sunset views and sundowners. When it comes to food, the focus is on grilled dishes with wine pairings of both South African and International origin. Went there for a company event as a group of 30 people and was surprised to see the restaurant being packed on a Wednesday. They have very limited parking on the street and an under construction building’s parking area also being used, but I am sure if you go there at peak times you will struggle to park. The cocktail selection is extensive and looks good. When it comes to food I had a prawn/avo salad for starters and a sirloin steak for mains which was served with a side of eggplant and some other veggies. In my opinion the food is average, the meat is not seasoned so you have to add extra salt, sauce on top which defeats the joy of a good steak. The dessert menu looks delicious but unfortunately didn’t get to sample it. Service was not the best but we were a big group on a busy night so will not hold it against them. As other patrons have mentioned the bathrooms are beautiful. And they have these outside areas where either you can sneak in a smoke or an Instagram/Tiktok reel. Overall the restaurant is great for the views, drinks and the decor but in my opinion the food doesn’t match up to its standards and prices. Off-course their other patrons might disagree as I could see from the crowds but I wonder if “the seen and be seen” mentality also plays to that. I read a restaurant reviewer mentioning the term “tinder date restaurant” when reviewing a restaurant and I think it’s an apt description for Marble as well. If you are trying to impress your date, take instagram pictures or maybe having a business meeting, this is a good place, for food I think there are many other great options.

Beautiful setting with great art and delightful ambience 🥰 Service is excellent. Exactly the right amount of friendly, attentive and relaxed. Cocktail prices were wild which is the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. Had the steak tartar starter and seabass main and was very happy. Spent the entire afternoon and evening there it was so lovely. Delicious views of Jozi and our marvelous sunsets the absolute frosting on top ❤️

Great Restaurant for a date/anniversary/birthday. Great ambiance, location and attentive waiters. Surprisingly I thoroughly enjoyed my escargot starter more than the ribeye main! Overall one for the books.

In one word: Exquisite! Our visit last night was a birthday treat for my partner, Henry. The food was 5 star: the oysters are to die for and our steaks were perfect. Start to finish the most wonderful dining experience with the best, attentive staff we have had the pleasure of dealing with locally. Thank you Chef Higgs & Team. We'll be back soon.

We went there today to celebrate my brother’s graduation. The place is spacious, floor staff warm and courteous. They tolerated selfie taking and even agreed to take pictures of the fam. OMG the food...flew me to the moon. It was love wrapped in chocolate with strawberries on top

One of the best contemporary restaurants in Jozi. Great cocktails and one of the most interesting wine lists in town. Good vibes for a meal. Or just a drink with a view.

Excellence. Beautiful venue. Amazing service. Staff perfectly trained. Menu is diverse enough for every taste. Not the most modern of offerings, but everything is exquisitely done. The seared tuna starter won the night.... don’t miss this one! Generally a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Portions a little big, and packed with flavor.

Definitely worth a visit with a menu and wine list that excites the pallet.

Can I just say how impressed myself and a few friends were with your restaurant last night. As in beyond impressed. The service was unbelievable, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and not snooty at all. We were made to feel at home, not rushed, and the bar staff and cocktails were also right up there with the best. 10 stars. Thank you and well done.

The service and experience was amazing, food 😜😊 on another level, I felt like a Queen when they took our coats..👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼Loved every minute of dining experience...

Marble..<br/>A beautiful restaurant, lovely ambiance which can get too loud at times. <br/>I attended an acquaintances birthday dinner. <br/>From the started to main, I enjoyed the courses. None of the people we were with at the table had any problems with their meals. <br/>The staff is very attentive. I would recommend it if you have the budget for it.

We went there for lunch. We were greated by friendly staff. The cocktails were delicious. We first sat at the bar area. Relaxed. Finsihed our cocktails and moved over to the main restaurant area. We were served with some bread to nibble on whilst we waited. It was really nice. We then tried the oysters. It was delicious. It is very expensive of you eat in the restaurant. The bar menu is very nice and much cheeper.

Marble has a dark but modern and sophisticated feel with an amazing view! The restaurant is with visiting for this alone. This beauty is extended into the presentation of the food. It is both delicious and stunning! The service was great too! The highlight of the night was definitely the desserts!
Jennifer Maswanganyi
I loved the view and atmosphere, food menu could have a bit of more options on food
Werner Geldenhuys
Great food, service and venue. One of the more expensive places, but worth the price. Coctail menu is unusual but special. Very big wine selection. Menu has good level of variety without losing the feel of specialization.

Having made a reservation for 2 pax for a business lunch and reconfirmed and changed to previous day by phone and received text message, when my international guest arrived he was told there was no booking.  I had requested a table by the window.  The restaurant found space for us, but on a table stuck in the main walk through from bar to restaurant.  It was a dreadful position exacerbated by the fact that there was a year end lunch happening and it was very busy.  Service was slow.  I ordered salmon only to be told they had none.  I opted for sea bass.  What was on my plate was indescribable  There was one piece of fish and a piece of skin char grilled.  The fish floated in a green sauce with no flavour and had a few chopped up new potatoes in the sauce.  I was embarrassed for my guest having highly recommended your restaurant.  He is based in Switzerland and CEO of a large corporate.  He travels the world extensively.  He too was shocked at the high prices charged for wine; the cost of food and its presentation; at the lack of service, and with the overall experience. We were very much left alone, and a floor manager floated passed and just said "all ok" and was gone.  Not speaking directly or even asking for feedback.  With a chef as well known and respected as David Hughes, I was sorely disappointed.  I too eat at many fine dining restaurants, and am finding nowadays that so called 5 star restaurants are not 5 star.   You cannot rest on your laurels.  Please take a leaf out of Mosaic Restaurant and their brilliant chef, Chantal Dartnell.

The attention to detail is everywhere. From the moment you arrive at the lifts to when you are received by the reception staff. The view is of Rosebank is an added bonus and ties in with the lively but not overwhelming vibe. The food selection is adequate and the food itself was heavenly.

I do not hold meat specialty restaurants to a particularly high standard when preparing other dishes - however, considering the price point, I thought the other dishes would at least be executed well.  If you note my rating, this wasn't the case.<br/><br/>I'll start with the worst and work my way through:<br/><br/>Mains: I ordered the salmon.  I asked that it be cooked to the chef's recommendation.  What I got was a barely cooked salmon (extra rare) literally swimming in a plate of oil.  Since it was supposed to be cooked on coals the oil was definitely unexpected.  The "potato salad" was also dripping in oil and was more akin to over-fried, deep-fried potato wedges.  The courgette struggled under the weight of all the grease and everything essentially tasted like fried grease.<br/><br/>Dessert: As I hadn't enjoyed the mains, I had two desserts.  Both were disappointing. The lemon meringue was overly sweet.  Cloyingly sweet and difficult to enjoy.  It tasted like canned condensed milk and not really lemony, at all.   The trimmings were good - particularly the little meringue disks and the thyme jelly. The passion fruit panna cotta was the absolute definition of a disappointment.  It had zero structure.  The flavour was completely overwhelmed by the extremely tart passion fruit.  The coconut flakes were delicious, however.<br/><br/>Starter: The only dish that did not disappoint was the "Marble avo-ritz".  Although, it was so simple it would have been a joke if they failed to execute it: an avo cut in half, some grilled prawns, a dallop of mayonaise mixed with tomato sauce and four strips of chives on top.<br/><br/>My partner says that the steak he had was "nothing special" but the potato chip accompaniment was delicious.<br/><br/>The service was disappointing too.  I found the waiter to be inattentive.  It took forever for our orders to be placed.  My glass was almost always empty.  However, the most annoying thing was that the waiter kept leaning over me, in an uncomfortable manner.  I had to bend out of the way every time he filled the glass across from me.  I was also surprised by the amount of wine he managed to spill onto the table every time.<br/><br/>All in all, I definitely don't recommend .

The food was superb, great cocktails, good vibe, salmon and ribeye were fantastic. Best prawn cocktail.

The good: The setting is beautiful and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. Service is good, but not outstanding. The staff's knowledge of their wine list is excellent and they assisted us to pick out some very enjoyable bottles of red.<br/><br/>The bad: The food is disappointingly average. My partner and I both had steaks. I had the rib eye and she had the fillet. My steak arrived looking like it had been put through a tenderiser and with a side of 'crisps' that looked like they had been poured from a packet of Lays. There was nothing special about the quality of the meat and I've enjoyed better steaks at a weekend braai.<br/><br/>I can only assume that the popularity of this restaurant is down to it being considered to be a "place to be seen", rather than an establishment of fine dining. Considering the price point, the food at marble leaves a lot to be desired and is a venue that I would not bother returning to.

What an amazing place. The food, interior and service was superb. My meat was cooked perfectly, the atmosphere was amazing and our waiter was really professional
Loveroffood
Yes yes it is very expensive, but the dining experience is all worth it. The food was spectacular and the staff was immaculate, they make you feel so special and comfortable. The atmosphere is very sophisticated, and has a stunning view of the city. Will definitely go back again.

The ambience of this restaurant is awesome - an experience with extra special service. The wine connoisseur is very helpful and the staff professional. I liked the food, however I was slightly disappointed with a few of the dishes, one being the seafood platter for two which I found lacked flavour. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Marble!

Everything about this restaurant is perfect. The exceptional service stands out. The ambiance is marvelous. I had the pork belly which I thought was abit too fatty. Everything else was perfect. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes.

We celebrated our 23rd anniversary here tonight and it was everything I expected and more. I am vegetarian and the menu had decent choices. Had the asparagus as a starter and they were accommodating enough to substitute the chicken garnish with Parmesan. Impeccable service and good advice with wine choices. Definitely a place for special occasions!

Beautiful setting and great atmosphere. Had the ice cream sandwich. Was absolutely amazing! Thanks for a great afternoon!! Definitely coming back.

The food was exceptional. Flavorful and complex! Worth the visit. <br/><br/>They missed out on 5 stars, because I did notify them that it was an anniversary celebration and also I had a dietary requirement, at booking. However on the day neither request were acknowledged.<br/><br/>

Well, this is quite a great ambience and great views. Excellent service as well. Food wise, the main course lacked a bit of wow factor but was quite fascinated by the dessert.

I believe that an experience starts from the time of booking. Been amped to go here from the recommendations of friends. Convinced the partner we're dining here for my big birthday. Called to make a reservation, felt like I was interrupting the ladys' day. Like she was talking to a little kid who shouldnt be booking at a restaurant. Kind of feeling sad and low now. Do I go somewhere else?

For a fine dining experience, Marble has truly set the bar high from the interiors, ambiance and the taste- truly worth it! <br/><br/>We tried it twice since everything was delectable and the experience was awesome. During our first time, we tried the seared tuna, quail and prime ribs of which everything was at par! <br/><br/>I liked their service, hospitality and the way they handle food and service. One may suggest having their reservation during the dinner service and catch a glimpse of the sunset from your table and watch as the Jo’burg skyline lights up. <br/><br/>Overall, we had a great experience from the food and the wine selections so this is definitely a hands down great choice whether you wanted an intimate dinner or great time with friends, you can’t go wrong with Marble!

So I wanted to surprise my lady for her birthday and I told her we were going to Primi Piatti. She dressed accordingly but almost knocked me out when the doors to the lift opened and she realised that Marble was the chosen destination for this celebration. After having a mild panic attack for being under dressed she calmed down as a little culinary disney land unfolded before her eyes. Could I have had a better, cheaper meal somewhere else? Maybe. Better service? Unlikely. More thrilling experience without jumping out of an aircraft? Not a chance. Yes, big dollar was dropped but i've been talking about the experience all week and the little lady is still treasuring the happy birthday card she got from Mr Higgs or his PA. Would I go back? Yes, if I had more dollars to drop.

Had an underwhelming experience at Marble. Used to be a fan, but this 5th visit in the past year left me confused and disappointed. I like it that the menu keeps rotating and keeping things fresh, but the quality has dropped tremendously. The tuna appetizer was full of flavor, but the main highlight of rib-eye was a total disaster. Presentation looks cheap, sauce overly salty, and the doneness of the meat wasn’t consistent. I brought a special guest who visit from overseas, and couldn’t be more ashamed of the food despite my glowing review and recommendation prior to stepping in. I will stop visiting the restaurant until they get their act up again. David Higgs should come back and helm the restaurant again — the new kids are not performing!

What an amazing evening I had here. From the beginning to the end. We celebrated a friends birthday and everything was catered for. I appreciated the superb hospitality services they are impeccable! We ordered salmon and ladies went on to the red meat, Yummy!!! Very deliciously prepared. Definitely returning here. Great service, breathtaking views, loved the interior. Keep it up! Happy eater

Sophisticated, classy and fashionable. The vibe, the food and the entire experience of dining at this beautiful restaurant is unforgettable. Extensive wine list and swanky bar area as well. Bookings essential as seats here are always in high demand.
AJ
The most magnificent service. Beautiful setting and cool views. Awesome bar area. The food was exceptional. I highly recommend the quail. The pork was great but not as flavoursome on comparison. Wonderful staff and it's so cool to see the kitchen and the staff working while you eat.
Simpleproperty
Famous owner and chef, very well designed restaurant and me and my wife were really looking forward to Marbles food but the only good things were the points mentioned above, overpriced wine and tasteless dry steak, i hate to say it but spur is even better with steak. Highly disappointing for such a famous restaurant that is highly rated by many who obviously dont know what a good steak tastes like. I had the ribeye which was below par and i have to give some credit to the waiter and manager who offered me something else to make up so i had the fillet where you cant really go wrong but was disappointed once again and all this hype about a so called famous chef really is a marketing scheme. Sorry my kitchen rules(which i love) but come to my house for a steak... seriously.
Mariska Meyer
Beautiful restaurant, great service. The food was excellent. The marble bites sausage was very tasty, the chargrilled chicken wings was amazing. The red pepper pesto with the steak was fantastic.
Dianie Myburgh
An absolute must try!!!! The prices is most definitely worth it!!!!!! (Good restaurant for a date night!) Every single dish has it’s own unique flavour!!!
Liza Richard
The word I would use to describe this place...average. The view was the the best thing about the venue for me. <br/><br/>Waiters initially gave us the wrong menu. Mains ordered was the risotto, rib eye and fillet steak. The steak was the best of the average meals and the risotto the worst. The risotto was grainy and a weird flavor. I would take a Cafe del Sol risotto any day over this. I don’t understand all these awesome reviews 😐 it creates the wrong expectations

Good food and ambiance. Amazing view of Johannesburg. We will be definitely returning. The bar is an excellent meeting spot to deluge in pre meal cocktails.

This place was awesome. The ambience, view, vibe, food...the staff is also so professional. I absolutely have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. It is on my favorite lists of restaurants. I wanted to give it a 4.5 only because their menu is not updated on Zomato. Otherwise it deserves a 5. <br/><br/>When you are Vegan or Vegetarian it is important to have an updated menu in order to see if the are options available for you before booking. Even the desserts were different. I however ended up with an Aubergine dish which was one of the best vegetarian dishes I’ve had in a long time. The Brulee was not bad either but we were looking forward to the Creme Brulee in the menu listed here. <br/><br/>This is an awesome restaurant!

I went to Marble for a quick lunch yesterday and ordered the Super Salad. I was appalled at what arrived on my plate. I’m not sure I have ever received a more disappointing plate of food and what’s even worse is that I had to pay R145.00 for it. The salad was 80% iceberg lettuce which was fridge cold and all stuck together as if someone had just quickly sliced a head of lettuce and thrown half of it on the plate. There were a few edamame beans, peas, and cucumber pieces thrown over the lettuce and about 4 tiny florets of tasteless cauliflower hidden amongst the lettuce. The tahini and buttermilk dressing didn’t taste like anything. To be honest, all I could taste was cold iceberg lettuce. I cannot believe that any restaurant could possibly allow a dish like that to go out their kitchen, never mind a restaurant that charges R145.00 for a salad. So disappointed.
Bryan Vally
The view from Marble is undoubtedly their key selling point, and it’s a stunning view of Joburg (if the weather co-operates). For me, otherwise, this is a little trendy and expensive for my taste. The service was a little slow and not as sharp as I would expect. If you enjoy modern bars, this is for you but not my taste.
Dale
Amazing ambience. Steak was prepared well and quail was absolutely delicious. The chocolate dessert was one of the best desserts I have had and the strawberry dessert wasn't far behind. Service was good but could have been a bit better, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
Vusie
Easily one of the best restaurant and bar in Johannesburg for an instgram moment. The staff is friendly and the service is exceptional. The food is okay, way better then it’s sister restaurant Saints though. Also the lighting is for the Gods and the restrooms are a work of art👌🏿
Zethu Dumakude
It's a beautiful setting with the gorgeous Jacarandas, I loved the sea bass as well. The reception staff were quite off putting though- I made a booking but when I arrived they couldn't find it. Then she sat us down by the toilets because I'm guessing that's where they put people "who don't have reservation", in a half empty restaurant. For the price tag the overall experience didn't meet my expectations. The waiters didn't manage to redeem the disappointing experience either.
Simphiwe Sim Mthembu
Absolutely appalled by the poor service, this “so called” fine dining experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. Completely underwhelmed by the menu, don’t know what the hype is all about. Completely average dishes and actually overpriced. It could be any other franchise in joburg, you wouldn’t know the difference. The hostess acts like she has the key to the pearly gates and you’re there begging for entry, even though they mess up a reservation you made a day prior. The best thing was the view of the blooming jacarandas and the room temperature water. Many items on the menu were out of stock as well, appalling.
Carla
Had the most spectacular evening. Everything was PERFECT. From food, service and ambiance there was not one single thing out of place- and we could honestly not have chosen a better place to have spend the evening.
Laura Kalagobe
Best steak EVER!!!!!!!!<br/><br/>We went there for a bridal shower and sat in the the private dining area. I didn't have starters and desserts but I ordered the sirloin and had some prosecco.<br/><br/>The steak was perfect! I can't think of any other word to describe it! I loved it!!<br/>The atmosphere was just simply amazing!<br/>The service was great!<br/>They even pay attention to detail in the bathrooms.<br/><br/>I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Marble. It's not the most affordable of restaurants but it's worth every cent.
Sabrina Kennedy
I loved marble. We went for an anniversary dinner and the staff, the vibe and the food was amazing. Everything we ate was great, the wine was amazing, and the waiters and managers are so well trained they just impress you the entire night. We really loved it

Interesting food. Good flavors. Octopus starter was divine- mains and beef are out of this world in taste - Hearty price too. Make sure your wallet is deep. Great experience for a celebratory night.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and I have mixed feelings about this place. Although the food is exceptional, the best part being the very fresh produce, I somewhat felt very rushed to get through all 3 of my courses. Our booking was for 2pm and we were there promptly but there was a rush to get our order in as the kitchen was to close to prepare for dinner service at 4pm. We had hardly finished our starters when our main was served, no palette cleanser served after starters either. Dessert was treated the same. In essence, I was not given a chance to savour my meal. I would go again simply because it is worth the hype and you get what you pay for but the service may be a bit aggressive for my liking
Michaela Leon
The Marble restaurants has got to be one of the fanciest restaurants in town. Unfortunately the food was not mind blowing and staff rather up tight, sadly not helpful at all. For the highly priced dining experience you'd think that they'd throw in friendly customer service as a added bonus 👍. #thinkagain

I was in Rosebank and so I decided to take a chance, I headed to Marble without a reservation. Luckily, there was room for one more. I got the best seat in the house. A front row sest to the kitchen. I commend them for such bravery of having patrons watch their every move... I watched the team work through the night and boy was it entertaining.<br/><br/>Well, if you do make a reservation (which you should). The kitchen happenings are the least of your worries.<br/><br/>Yes. Marble is a must try. If you have been to Saint in Sandton you will appreciate the feel of Marble.<br/><br/>I had the chicken salad (the first in my life - probably my last). It was great, don't get me wrong. I loved it.I hate lettuce/rockets or any leafy uncooked vegetables - I had oxtail for lunch and so a salad was easy on my conscience. That chicken thigh salad, with a side of Avo is great. The vinaigrette they used was amazing. I would have appreciated more of the sweet potatoe though.<br/><br/>I followed, later on with the choc chip cookie and Halva ice cream. The portion is big, have it to share if possible. I was forced to finish it as I obviously could not take it with.<br/><br/>I paid a decent R425 for a filling chicken salad & side Avo, lime cordial & Sprite zero, 750 ml sparkling water and the cookie sandwich. So, if you drink. Go prepared to spend, or drink on a friends budget.<br/><br/>I was working for most of the night so I did not notice my waiter disappear. When the crowd arrived around 20h00 he was nowhere to be found. I was helped though, by someone else so I will let that incident slide.<br/><br/>I had the pleasure of seeing the Head Chef/ Owner in action - COOKING action. My night was made.<br/><br/>(The complimentary flat bread is tasty - I don't think I have had bread that good).<br/><br/>Edited - 04 06 2019<br/><br/>Marble is still a firm favourite. Tried the mains. Reviews are as follows:<br/>Salmon - great<br/>Sirloin - great<br/>Lamb chops - good<br/>

I really loved the atmosphere at Marble. The restaurant was bustling, even on a Tuesday evening. The service was very good from the moment we arrived and we were ready to be blown away.<br/>Unfortunately the food didn't quite live up to expectations. The flavours in the meal didn't wow us. While everything was well cooked, I felt the combinations didn't work very well. We also found the dessert to be a bit disappointing.<br/>

Last night, my fiance Greg Cohen and I went to Marble to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. I had made the reservation ages ago. So we have been really excited to go. Although slightly hesitant as we had heard very mixed reviews.<br/><br/>Where to begin, the food was absolutely sensational! On arrival you receive two types of bread, one was like a sour dough and the other a flat bread. It was served with salted butter topped with burnt onion and a pumpkin puree. Both breads, the dip and butter were delicious.<br/><br/>I had the tuna starter. The tuna was cooked to perfection and the flavours were full. My fiance had the calamari starter which he really enjoyed, he said the flavour combinations were really good.<br/><br/>We both had the crayfish main, I have no words to describe the deliciousness, flavourful tender and cooked to perfection.<br/><br/>To end off the meal, I had the chocolate dessert and he had the malva. Both desserts were really good.<br/><br/>Oh and the cocktail I had called Skyros was divine<br/><br/>The service was one of the best I have experienced. Our waiter Tim was attentive but not overly so. The vibe was also good.<br/><br/>It's definitely a place for a special occasion and not an everyday meal as it is quite expensive.<br/><br/>Overall: vibe 8/10 service 10/10 and food 10/10<br/>

Hi Marble. Been to the restaurant a few times now as a vegetarian. Time to change the vegetarian options. My husband went for lunch today and tried the gnocchi option again. It was serve almost cold. He was not in a position to point this out. Regardless, I think you should take time out and look at better vegetarian /vegan choices. 🥂 Mariana

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! Service was impeccable and the food even more so... Portions are more than generous and the flavours exquisite! We will definitely be back for more!
Robyn Lin
Was quite looking forward to this restaurant, but I'm really not sure what's so good about this restaurant if they didn't have the fancy deco, open air bar, and the location. If you take all the fancy parts away, it's average hospitality and food.. think i'll go for just drinks next time.
Vijay Ghanshamdas
A little torn on this review due to the good and the bad. This was my second trip there and I wanted to see if the experience would be the same and unfortunately it was. The decor, the venue, the bar, the view its all stunning. My disappointment is the food which is why I had to give it 3*. The food all looks nice but the flavours just weren't right.
Ilana Pickford
Beautiful restaurant with amazing views. Staff very friendly and on the ball. However, I felt the food was average. Steaks cold, strange combinations of dishes, gnocchi dry and a very unappetizing, overall, the experience left me very disappointed! Especially considering the prices. Won’t rush back. Maybe for sundowners only!

Second visit to Marble on Saturday, 28th July. It was full, but managed to get a nice table right at the front of the kitchen. I ordered the rib-eye steak medium well. I usually order my meat medium but considered that, being at a specialty meat/grill restaurant, I should order it medium well so as not to get a cut of meat that is too pink for my liking. The rib-eye was dry and tasteless, much like the potato sauce and/or chickpea hummus served with it? Not too sure what it was.. but, onions were not smoked and, I never had any greens with the plate despite the menu saying “greens”. Hmmm...? Other than being a flashy hangout for the northern suburbs’ bourgie elite class with a great champagne collection and service to complement it, I really wouldn’t write home about the food. Sorry David.
The Oelsens
What a beautiful place! Impressive service and wonderful vibe. We find the food technically strong but lacking in passion. There is something money can’t buy and that’s a chefs hand in the the kitchen. David Higgs, your recipes miss you.
Eat Like A King
A really lovely experience overall! The space definitely screams luxury and the prices of cocktails match that. My gin with elderflower was great but at R130, one is plenty. We didn’t book and hoped to get a seat looking on to the pass. Instead we had a romantic seat at the bar facing away from the pass. The service is excellent, our waiter was so attentive and filled up our glasses constantly. We started with (the world’s most delicious) focaccia and salted butter & yoghurty pumpkin dip. Then oysters & asparagus starter, great flavours and done simply. Starting on a high meant that our mains of lamb & the sirloin needed to sing. Sadly, they were rather off key. My portion of lamb was small, the fat was rendered to a point where it was actually burnt. My husband’s rib-eye seemed more like a sirloin, no fat marbling and dry despite being cooked to medium-rare. Garnishes were well-suited for mains, added flavour but perhaps the other proteins would’ve been a better choice. A good sign is that we were too full for dessert so we will be back for another try!

Although it’s extremely pricey, the food is wonderfully prepared, the service is top quality and the vibe is great. I’d recommend lunch over dinner as it’s quieter and the food arrives faster. There’s a new fish fish with a saffron broth which packs a punch and the flavor is exquisite yet not overpowering of the fish. I had my birthday dinner there and was a little disappointed by the tiny dessert they gave me but nonetheless I’ll keep going to marble whenever I can afford to!
Zinzerella
Great spot for sundowners! I’m sure the booking system helps to remind them of my name, but the staff genuinely always seem happy to welcome me “back”. Food never disappoints, and the crowd and ambiance are always perfect for a midweek lunch meeting or even a Sunday lunch.

the aesthetics in the restaurant are extremely beautiful. i went there to have drinks and desserts. the drinks were absolutely delicious. the desserts too way long to come out had to ask about it a couple of times. the pumpkin cheesecake was good as we as the chocolate marquee.

The review was written at the end of the meal prior to the owner engaging us sincerely on our feedback, so he’s kindly requested a chance at redemption, which we shall certainly award him...so here’s hoping the review is proven wrong. The rating was subsequently upgraded from a 1-star to a 3-star on the basis of the owner actively engaging us to Give Marble another chance. <br/><br/>———————————————<br/><br/>Fails Functional Grade with a FFF rating. <br/><br/>Completely failure at Over-hyped, and definitely over-rated. <br/><br/>They say form follows function. Marble fails to achieve the function. Design of the venue amazing. Food most definitely below average. Here’s the reasoning why...<br/><br/>My darling wife decided to bring me to Marble for my pre-birthday dinner. Finding a parking was a bit tricky, but didn’t take too long before the car guards made a plan. <br/><br/>The entrance is deceptive, and almost hidden due to the signs being not easily noticeable. (Not a bad thing really, adds to the hype).<br/><br/>The hostesses said the place was full at the time of booking so we were seated along-side the windows with a nice view of JHB. They said they would notify us if a normal table became available. <br/><br/>The menus for food and wine were presented, with a really good bread basket. (Butternut, honey cream) was really delicious with the pita and salted bread. <br/><br/>We were taking our own time just enjoying being out, when the waiters (each one different) kept coming to ask for our drinks order. We took our time deciding on the wine. The sommelier was sent over to advise us on appropriate wines based on our tastes (merlot) and we were still undecided. A junior sommelier was sent over within a few minutes to further advise us. We eventually chose the UVA Mira merlot which was full-bodied and absolutely delicious. Although it felt as if we were being rushed to make the decision. <br/><br/>I chose the Oysters to start which was a 4/5 rating for me. The citrus granita and Thai water dressing was a nice complement to the oyster texture and flavour.<br/><br/>My wife chose the Aubergine starter, which in all honesty, I would rate a 0/5 but I’ll be generous and give it a 1/5 considering the chef was smart enough to cover up the fact that he basically served a cold bland aubergine, with pine nuts, ricotta and confit lemon. You can’t call a dish Aubergine if it’s not the hero. And it will never achieve superhero status. (Maybe the chef forgot to do something with it).<br/><br/>Main orders were taken and my wife ordered the lamb cutlets, while I went on the chefs recommendation on the Rib-Eye. After the Aubergine, I thought maybe the Ribeye would be Marble’s saving grace considering our waiter (Bob Marley as he calls himself) recommended it as the best steak at Marble... Boy, did he lie!<br/><br/>The service overall was below average - different waiters the entire night, the only person who actually seemed to care about our evening was the Junior Sommelier. Another point that was a bit perturbing was the lack of time between courses. The menu claims that the customers will be well rewarded for the wait given the time for resting required, but we barely finished starters before mains were served. <br/><br/>Let’s start with the lamb cutlets that my wife had: it was a 1/5 rating - unbelievably bland and failed to capture the essence of the tandoori flavour. (Go to Delhi Darbar Parkmore - I guarantee the best tandoori lamb - you will cry flavour after licking your fingers). <br/><br/>Now, back to the Rib-eye that was an absolute failure...it felt sad to read reviews on Zomato rating it so highly. I kept wondering whether my palette was more refined than the other reviewers. I was a bit surprised by my steak being cut up into strips and served to me. The combination with malt vinegar onion, creamy potato sauce etc was below average. I recommend Turn ‘n Tender’s Argentinian steak or the Baron Sandton (guaranteed to leave you wanting more). The chips and sauce served with the steak was also cold. (I hate sending food back to get re-heated or getting a new dish - especially for a place that serves a R300 steak dish).<br/><br/>So at this point we were definitely over Marble, and were wondering what type of people, palette alternative places existed in the world. <br/><br/>We decided that since my birthday was tomorrow, we’ll give Marble one last chance to redeem themselves with dessert. Holy Moly - I never felt like such a chump until this point. <br/><br/>So I ordered the Banana (Yes, that’s its name) - Bob Marley, our third waiter, was recommending the chocolate dessert but after going based on his recommendation for the steak, I thought to play it safe, and choose my own. <br/><br/>So the description shows that it’s a Banana Parfait with a hazelnut sponge etc etc <br/><br/>Get this...the Banana Parfait (a type of mousse/pate) was actually and ACTUAL BANANA - my mind was blown. The dessert was a -3/5. I strongly recommend the banana waffle at Milky Lane. <br/><br/>So all in all - an almost complete failure. <br/><br/>The only redemption for the evening was being out with my darling wife while enjoying a decent bottle of wine. <br/><br/>#Neveragain #Fakefood

An excellent recommendation to try out Marble. The reservation process was quick and received feedback less than an hour. Arrived before the scheduled time (trying to find parking is a bit of a pain!) and we went up with the lift to the 3rd floor. The welcome was professional and warm and were taken to our table. Drinks order was taken and champagne was served! Mains - ribeye - was cooked perfect the second time (first one was a bit rare for a medium rare). Tasty....playing mind games with tastebuds! For dessert, the chocolate dessert was out of this world! I can understand the high rating for this place. Keep up the good work guys! Thanks Nigel for serving us.

Went here for my 6 year anniversary. Was a lovely evening. Very good service. Friendly waiter. The starters and mains were incredible. The drinks selection was very impressive too. I was very excited for dessert as I have a massive sweet tooth. However, my dessert was inedible 😩the ice cream sandwich was the worst choice! The ice cream was icy and had no flavor. The cookie was dry and old. My boyfriends dessert was average. Dessert was a complete was of money! <br/><br/>But besides from dessert was had a lovely evening

22.05.2018 So my rating is not based on a dinner but rather on snacks we received while waiting on a function to start. It's an amazing space with great views and open clean areas. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The Cappucinos are good.<br/><br/>The snacks we received (pics posted prior to this) were tasty. Mini Pita, bite sized Fish and Chips with mushy peas, tempura styled Cauliflower, Salmon Nachos bites, Pizza, Biltong and medium Steak.<br/><br/>We definitely planning on returning to make a proper evening of it and to experience the full menu.
Theloveofgoodfood
I loved every second at Marble. <br/><br/>Every element is specially curated to give you an honest food experience with the focus placed on how everything is cooked by flame. The food really is exceptional. <br/><br/>The ambience is relaxed yet classy. One of my favourites in Joburg.

Actually a 3.5. We had a girls’ night out dinner here once. Let’s start with what’s good. Service is impeccable from the moment you step out of the elevator. The restaurant itself is beautiful with an open kitchen, glass paneled wine cellar and upmarket finishings. The butter that accompanied the bread was AMAZING! I wish it was available in stores. It was salty and soft and melt in your mouth beautiful. <br/><br/>So what’s not good? <br/>The main courses. The linefish still had bones 😕, the risotto was cold 🙁 and the portions were incredibly small ☹️. The calamari had a grand total of 4 pieces. You can see from the pics that there was more plate than food. Definitely not worth the price tag. <br/>

I made a last minute booking on a friday and they had a table for me for 4 pax. I was a little worried, but hoped it was just my good luck.<br/><br/>I then was warned by a facebook friend that it was bad food, small portions and totally overpriced.<br/><br/>We arrived at the life and pressed the very sweet button in the elevator mad out of marble. Such a quirky touch.<br/><br/>We were greeted and told we could come through, instead we chose to have a drink at the bar first instead. We were seated outside on a winters night and it was beautiful. The lighting was perfect to let you still the city and your cocktail. We ordered whiskey and some classix martinis. All were perfect.<br/><br/>Moving to our table was seamless and our bills transferred without any action by us.<br/><br/>We ordered starters and bar none they were tasty and original. If anything, a tad on the bit side. The ceviche or tartar of salmon was the winner with the octopus a cloae second.<br/><br/>The wine list had a variety of options and i was bappy with all offered. <br/><br/>My continuing crusade against imported water was not helped as all they had was pelegrino. Give me a LOCAL option of sparkling water please.<br/><br/>Mains were also massive portions and very tasty. The ribeye had lots of flavour and exactly what I wanted.<br/><br/>Yes it was an expensive dinner, but we got what we paid for.

Blown away r the right words. This time i didnt even get time to take pics of an epic dining experience because i was in the moment. Food amazing...starters i had soup then moved on to mains, springbok on a bed of sweet potatoe mash, fine wine and variety is endless. Ambience is great with the most spectacular views....a must but also make sure u bring a fat wallet😉

A beautiful setting and restaurant. Waiters are well trained and the service is good. Where I struggled was with the quality of the food and price you pay versus other establishments like this. I have visited Mable twice now and can only say the food was average. I expected better quality than what I received on my plate.

Had my birthday party using their private room there this past weekend. The service was amazing. We were well taken care of. I would recommend anyone to go there. Had a great time and the staff is really friendly always willing to help which is a plus. Thanks Marble.

Amaaaazing venue! Loved everything about the feel and ambiance of the restaurant. Also love the fact that they have 2 private dining rooms for those intimate dinners or business engagements. From first impression I did expect a lot more from the food though

Took hubby for his birthday.<br/>we were initially seated right next to the bar and it was very loud and not really a good cozy spot to enjoy our meal we were asked to move and they moved us to a much better suited spot where we could oversee the kitchen.<br/>The butters that were brought were delicious. The tuna starter was something unique that if never tasted before and I enjoyed the combination of flavours. The seafood platter was gorgeously presented, beautiful fresh seafood that is perfectly cooked and the flavours in each element was like feeding my soul 😍😍😍 the dessert was art on a plate that tasted just as good on my palate..absolutely loved it..the highlight was getting to see chef David..great service and wonderful experience

I booked a table at Marble for my mom's birthday and we were excited to go. The visit didn't go as planned, which was a great disappointment for me.<br/>I cannot fault the food as every bit of it was delicious:<br/>We had the Asparagus & Something to Nibble starters, which were both so tasty (I couldn't get enough of their hummus & baba ghannouj).<br/>For mains my mom had the Rib Eye, which she really enjoyed, and I had the Cape Malay Curry - probably one of the top Malay curries I have ever eaten in a restaurant.<br/>The wine menu is extensive and the sommelier is great at assisting with choosing a whine.<br/>Service-wise I was really unimpressed with how my booking was handled and am taking this up with management. The waiters were great however, though the doorman was rather abrupt with us when we arrived.<br/>If you like fine dining with a cosy & quiet atmosphere, Marble is not the place for you. The acoustics amplify everything, so it is a very noisy restaurant. <br/>Parking outside the restaurant can be a nightmare, so rather Uber there.<br/>I'm not sure if I'll return here as the booking mess-up overshadowed the experience of the food.
Zahraacachalia
Absolutely stunning setting with equally amazing views.<br/>We ordered a variety to share between the family. <br/>Definitely fine dining, as the dishes are made up of complex flavors but come together really well. <br/>Highly recommend something from the grill. <br/>The desserts were interesting but not quite to our personal taste. Maybe too sophisticated for our palettes, but d definitely worth a try. <br/>Overall lovely experience, however it didn't come easy on the pocket. So be prepared.<br/>

One of the best restaurants, loved the food and one of the best wine cellars in Gauteng! Well flavored menu and world class service! The ambience is spectacular! The food was so tasty and full of flavor! Love this spot and cannot wait to be back!

The ambience was fantastic. It really felt ask if we were in another country, like Paris, or New York. The food, too, was out of this world.<br/><br/>The menu has changed, slightly, but the menu on Zomato provides a good indication of what is to come.<br/><br/>I would recommend Marble to all.
Charmiofick
This is one of the top 5 places I have been to and will go back as often as I can. The food and the service is impeccable. I would recommend it to anyone especially for celebrations

An impeccable dining experience. Pricey but so well worth it. Attention to detail makes this dining experience all the more amazing. Wine selection to match the amazing menu. <br/>Absolutely loved this restaurant

Today was our 5th year anniversary, something very special to us where we always like to try out new restaurants and places where we would like to feel special and welcoming to come back to, well the Marble was our first and last time experience for sure.<br/><br/>After our anniversary at a restaurant normally you will def. feel spoiled and appreciated, at the marble we felt like here’s your food pay for it and go...........<br/><br/>I booked 2 weeks in advance and told the bookings lady that it is our 5 year anniversary, making sure that they understand this is a really a big deal for us, it was noted.<br/><br/>We arrive at the place, great.... they seated us at the back close to the bar\club don’t know what, noise and loud music for days. I told our waiter if I wanted this kind of anniversary I could have rather invited my friends at home and have a blast and save my money, because we all know Marble is not just a R150 steak outing.<br/><br/>Sooo they moved us to another seating closer to the kitchen, yaaaaaahaaa much better, Ooo here is some champagne for your anniversary she said. So I replied if you had a look at the booking I made I asked no alcohol as my wife is pregnant. So they changed it for appletizer, ok great.<br/><br/>Ordered our mains, very average for steak and under seasoned by milestones. I had the rib eye and my wife had the fillet. If I pay R295 for a steak please impress me, because I felt that I could have gone to a normal steak restaurant with the same plating and eat better and save on the pocket.<br/><br/>The dessert was good, but still nothing to write about.<br/><br/>All and all been there got the shirt and never coming back.<br/><br/>Average overpriced food, I feel, and I really don’t mind paying for good food.

Everyone who knows me knows how much I love marble! From the amazing, and I mean amazing bar snacks to the fine dining options! They match such marvelous flavors that work very well together! The bar is immaculate, they have original complex cocktails and a wide variety of fine wines and champagnes, you’ll find almost everything you’ll look for there. It’s a 5/5 from me!

Great environment, absolutely one of the best service i have ever had.. The food is very nice I love the coconut butternut soup, and the bread, the dip the butter are brilliant!!

Been here three times now. All three times, the food and service was very good. Lamb chops and the game dishes were very good. The restuarant is way too noisy to have any sort of proper conversation. Best try to get a private room.

Oh Marble!!!!! This was out Valentine's dinner and what an experience it was. The quail was amazing. The game was amazing. The ocopus starter was amazing. And that view!!! As an additional bonus we spoke to David Higgs and what an awesome guy he is.

What an amazing experience, Marble is definitely a restaurant one should experience at least once or in my future plans - I’ll be going many times. From incredible food (not just in taste but in appearance), to delicious desserts - to winning waiters AND to top it all off; a sunset view of beauty.

I was really looking forward to visiting Marble and had set an expectation that unfortunately was not met. I loved the decor which felt exclusive and was cleverly designed. Service was impeccable but food dissapointing. I had the sirloin steak, medium, it lacked flavour and was underwhelming. There was absolutely no seasoning. The accompanied roasted onion and hassleback potato was there just for the sake of being there and theres no point in mentioning the horseradish cream. Eating this meal was obligatory. I was invited so I sadly chomped each piece of steak and tried to be good guest. Cocktails served were non impressive, R120 and its a small, dull drink that looks cute. Dessert however was Wonderful, I loved loved the creme brulee. I think Marble is a hot, happening place to eat at, I however dont think its a place to go and ENJOY a meal at.

After reading up about various spot to celebrate a special occasion, I decided on going to Marble for my husband's birthday dinner.  When we arrived, we were shown to the bar for a drink before dinner. The space was packed, but we were served very quickly.  From there we were shown to our seats at the counter, overlooking the city. Usually, a counter spot would put me off, but the chairs were comfortable and the table area was big. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the atmosphere is buzzing. It's always great when you get to see the kitchen at work. We had a delicious starter- some meat platter/marble bites (can't quite remember the name) and for mains had the ribeye (very good meat, but needed another textural element) and the Caesar salad (a bit overdressed and salty).  Decent wine list, although I did feel some of the wines very overpriced in terms of what you would pay in the shops for the same item. The service was impeccable. All in all a little underwhelmed, but would go back for the setting alone!

During our visit it started fantastic. The waiters were great and we were recommended the seafood platter. It came and looked amazing. However, the 4 fantastic looking tiger prawns we not cooked. As we returned them the staff we disappoint in the the kitchen but around 10 mins later there returned a plate which had cooked prawn meat on it. No apology, just here you go. Hope you have a better experience.
Tania
Insanely delicious. Beautiful ambience and overall an incredible restaurant. Service is excellent and the food even more tantalizing than the pictures . Will definitely recommend for that special occasion

By far the best dining experience in Johannesburg. Food is incredible, service is by far the best I have experience in our country. <br/>Book the window seats. Go early and enjoy a cocktail at the bar.

We visited Marble late last year with high expectations for my husband’s 30th Birthday. The place was beautiful, the decor, ambience and service was great. The food however was not what we expected. The steak and starters were great but the seafood platter was flavorless. A bit disappointing.

Have been wanting to go to Marble for forever, so finally a really gentlemanly pilot from Germany chose it as our first meeting place, needless to say I was impressed by both gentleman and restaurant. I really like this rooftop restaurant, the huge mirrors when u walk out the lift, the marble theme before u even walk into the building, the magnificent views... <br/>I don't remember what we had for starters but blesbok to share was our main, t'was juicy and tender, the cocktails and wine was all good... Marble is amazing, will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an all-round wonderful dining experience. Quiet a memorable date, he did well.

I’ve been wanting to go to Marble for a while now, but I was always reluctant because of the high prices. So since it was my birthday yesterday, I decided to treat my friends to some fine dining. The atmosphere is very relaxed and classy at the same time. The tables and lift button are made of marble. The menus even has a marble pattern. The waiters are always around and very fast with orders. My friends ordered the fillet and octopus. The fillet was nice and soft and the octopus just as good. I ordered lamb cutlets for my main and chocolate for dessert. I enjoyed the lamb and the brownie from the chocolate. The bourbon sauce and spiced ice cream weren’t for me, but like I said before- the brownie was godly. I even received a free cute little dessert because it was my birthday. My friend ordered Creme brûlée and it tasted divine. really enjoyed my experience here. Though it is a little pricey and not an everyday dining place for students like me, it is definitely the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.

The only place where gluten free is really gluten free, even when it looked like wheat the waiter immediately assured us it was safe. The service was fantastic and the food done to perfection.

The staff is very friendly. Its an experience whether you are sitting at the bar or in the main dinning space. My favourite is the bar menu fish and chips..totally worth a visit to Marble 😋.

To start off with we booked a week in advance. Upon arrival we were asked to wait in the bar area until our table was ready. 20min In I asked what was happening. The lady we spoke to said she’ll make the front aware we are waiting. A total of 1 hour and ten min later I went to the front to ask where is our table. The response I got was “no one told us you were here” the second girl to help us was actually helpful and sorted it out. So service aside and not letting 1 person ruin the name... it was time for the food. It started off promising with the oysters which were fresh and full of flavour! From there it was a mudslide..At just short of R300 for a fillet steak. What they are saying is this is the best steak you are going to have. Farrr from it. It came past well done. Basically burnt with absolutely no flavour. We had the mussels which were average at best. If you are charging these prices you have to be among the best.. of not thee best that’s out there. This place falls so far short that I would never go back or recommend it. There are too many places where the food is so good you don’t mind paying whatever they charge. This place seems like it’s just an image thing.

Service: 5<br/>Ambiance: 5<br/>Food: 5<br/><br/>Really trendy international worthy spot. Rather big and spacious. Acceptance without booking. Friendly and efficient staff. The complimentary bread is delicious... food is unfaulted... don’t miss out on dessert... definitely worth a try!

Tasty drinks and delicious food - especially the starters are really great. Friendly staff and great view from the terrace over the city at night.

Went to this restaurant for lunch on Saturday. The first thing that stood out for me was the beautiful decor and great ambience. The service was exceptional and the food was great but not exceptional especially for the price you pay. The food was a little bland and lacked flavor. I also ordered a strawberry daiquiri and it was horrible. It was quite disappointing that they would make a horrible tasting cocktail. <br/><br/>Overall it’s a good restaurant and I wouldn’t mind going back.
