We dined here three times during our stay in J-bay and kept coming back for more as we couldn't find this quality fish anywhere else. The sushi was not only fresh but reasonably priced, the standout however were the prawns which were undoubtedly some of the best I've ever tasted. The fish and calamari were also excellent choices. Adding to the overall ambiance the view of the ocean was what really made the restaurant so special. It took our breath away. Moreover, our waiter Sean provided great service; he not only seated us promptly but encouraged us to stay despite the liquor license being expired. His friendly conversation and knowledge about J-bay/the menu added a personal touch to the evening. Kudos to Sean for making our experience so memorable.

Last night we visited the Ocean Basket Jeffrey's Bay. We absolutely loved our dinner. The food was prepared and served promptly. We complemented the chef as it was extremely tasty and freshly made. We ordered Sushi rainbow rolls and salt and pepper crispy calamari tentacles to start. Well priced and very yummy. Then we ordered for mains the Queen prawns with an extra side of calamari tubes...finger licking good. As well as the prawn and calamari combo...just fabulous 👌. The grilled mix veg was perfect and the side salad was so incredibly fresh and generous! Our table service was excellent with the owners and the manageress also checking to see if we were happy. This restaurant I believe is under new ownership. We wish this young couple everything of the best. If we lived here this would be our favourite spot. It ticks all the boxes. View of the ocean, great food and excellent service. Not to mention well priced.

This place is spacious and has a great view of the ocean. The seafood is tasty and fresh. Great and friendly staff. Reasonable prices and great desserts. A family vibe and nice music too.

Definitely one of the best OB experiences. Food was outstanding, the location is amazing overlooking the beach and waves breaking, service was excellent. Keep up the great work👍
