Absolutely highly recommended to ANYONE who really wants to witness value for money! The service from Steve, reception friendliness, and the chef above all, really went out of their way to complete customer satisfaction! What more do you need? Great steaks/food, great drinks/wine, great service, and this all with a sea & beach view from any point in the restaurant! Well done guys! You're awesome!

Best overall experience in J-bay. The milkshakes are truly amazing. They may not look impressive, but their flavours are 100% on point. Food was brought out together and everyone enjoyed what they got. Highly recommend taking the mini foccacias with anything, they were very nice to share. Fishcakes come looking like a little smiling face which is very cute and the potstickers were a good snack too. Good pastas, schnitzel and burgers - something for everyone. Dessert was really good too, we loved the double chocolate mousse, the creme brulee and the cookies-and-cream don pedro. Just the sticky toffee pudding with the little caramel apple could use some improvement as it's quite dry and definitely below the standard of everything else that came to the table. Right on the ocean with a good view and friendly waiters. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great dinner experience ✨️

It's a very lively place, necessary to book. A good selection of various dishes at reasonable prices. The Steaks and the Line fish we had was superb. The service was friendly and competent. Highly recommended.

I ordered the sticky pork ribs, onion rings and chips. The meat was falling of the bone. They have excellent desserts.

Fantastic gem of a restaurant!! Right opposite the surf in Jeffrey's Bay. Small and authentically decorated. Attentive staff and excellent chefs in the kitchen. We started with a tapas of fish cakes which we shared. They were delicious and full of Flaked fish and herbs. Then for mains we chose a seafood pasta...loaded with flavours and generous on the seafood medley!! The tour buses of youngsters arrived when we were there...it spoilt the ambience. However, still not a restaurant to miss out on.

We ended our trip with a late lunch at Kitchen Windows. The food was awesome, and the view of the beach was lovely. Highly recommend doing their tapas

Probably the best restaurant in Jbay for a nice dinner or a relaxed lunch. Food choices include tapas starters, veggie options, fresh local seafood and grilled meat. Good selection of wines and authentic nice service. You won't regret coming here. Make a reservation as it will be busy most of the time.

Kitchen Windows is absolute gem, the food is amazing, the service is great, great menu and better location. You get a nice view over the ocean. What more could you want? The staff is really enthusiastic and passionate. The name has a nice back story. And if you visit out of school holiday season there are lots of parking and you can walk-in without a reservation.

One of the best places to relax and eat by the beach in Jeffrey's Bay. The service is excellent and the staff are friendly and efficient (managers are a bit rude and snobby so lost a star there). There is a variety of great food, wine, milkshakes and dessert, and the atmosphere is enjoyable with a great view of the beach. The inside is clean and comfortable. The outside smoking area is where pets are allowed, even if your pets don't usually smoke, it's a bit smelly outside and the manager doesn't care about all that, or your dog's diet and lungs.

This is definitely one of the best places I have eaten at during my entire stay at Jeffreys Bay. I highly recommend trying it out! Delicious food • Tasty cocktails • Gorgeous view • Helpful and friendly waiters What more could you possibly want?

As usual, the best restaurant experience for me in Jeffreys Bay. The food and waiter were brilliant. Lucky for me, same waiter we had little more than a year ago when we were here. Still the best.

I had a lovely salad. My friends had a pizza so good they ordered one to go home with. The service was quick and efficient and the restaurant is like right on the beach. Only concern is the pesky barking from the dogs in apartments above the restaurant. After a couple Jagers though you don't hear them anymore lol.

What an awesome place. The staff was friendly, the service was very fast. I enjoyed their catch of the day (line fish). I am definitely coming back again to try their lamb ribs

Oh my gosh this restaurant is amazing. Came here with my family- all had different dishes and I cannot rave enough. The pork fillet sauce was amazing, paella full of seafood, the Asian calamari was lovely, the curry was full of flavour. Would highly recommend and I think we'll be back tomorrow for lunch. 50m from the beach. Great atmosphere. Love it 😍

Best restaurant in area. Wonderful setting with relaxed effective service contributing to a special experience. Most items on menu have taste enhancing twist. Good wines! Been there many times and hope to visit often in future. Perfect view for lunch.

What a fantastic hidden gem in Jaybay right by the beach. We were referred here by a few locals and decided to go and check it out. The view is absolutely immaculate and I can imagine that summer evenings here is bliss for the soul. The wine list is a wine connoisseur's wet dream with a Diners Platter Platinum Wine rating you would be silly to pass this gem by. We had an amazing flat bread with basil, rosa tomatoes and mozzarella for starters and for mains we enjoyed the Tempura Calamari and the Paella which is absolutely divine. If ever you are in Jaybay do pop in, luxuriate in the splendor of good wine, amazing food and an incredible view and atmosphere.

Stunning wine list. Very out of the ordinary.
Also has a beautiful cellar and a list of rare and older vintage wines. Diners club platinum wine list 2016.
We had the kitchen window foccacia for a snack and decided to stay for dinner.
I had the paella. It was gorgeous. Monica had the Tempura calamari. Also delicious.
JBay has many offerings but if you are serious about wine and good quality grub, this place is a must.
The staff are friendly and engaging. If you want the best, just ask for Juan.

Sorry to hear about a few unpleasant experiences. However, I was born and raised in jbay and the car guard that plays with the kids is great with children, and they love him. He is employed by the restaurant for a reason, and it is very sad that people disrespect this man, as well as trust on the locals. He was around even when I was a kid.
This restaurant has give us many great memories, and good food - especially recently, where they have been constant with service and quality of their food🍝👌

Excellent setting right on the beach with a great view. Service was good, didn't have anything to eat but the drinks were cold and the vibe was very relaxing. Could have stayed the whole day.

Phoned for a booking, was told one wasn't needed. Showed up and suddenly needed that booking again. No effort made to accommodate us in any way. Horrid service by a smarmy manager.

Always love the fillet steak here. The Christmas corn and prawn curry is super tasty. And not to mention the incredible ocean views. Service is always friendly and fast

Beautiful setting on the edge of the beach. Warm and cozy interior with log fire. Friendly staff and service. Food was plenty and very good. Loved this spot!

Avoid at all costs! This restaurant is nicely situated but that is the only positive we found on our recent visit. No one greeted us as we arrived so we sat ourselves at a table. I noticed an adult man (at least 100kgs) on the kiddies jumping castle cajoling with the smaller kids. I requested if he was employed by the restaurant and was told he was. I asked if he could avoid the jumping castle as I have 3 sons under 6 years old. The man turned out to be the car guard.

Whilst the manageress asked him to vacate the jumping castle, the waiter instantly became sour. He was surly when we ordered and came back to ask 'what bottle' am I ordering. I asked for a Kahlua coffee when I asked for some sugar and a spoon, I was told you dont need sugar in it. My boys milkshake order was wrong.

The owner of the restaurant then came over to tell us to leave his restaurant, explaining that the man on the jumping castle in his words "had the brain of a 9 year old" and since we were concerned about him perhaps being too big to rough house with children under 7; we should leave. Which we did.

Awful attitude. Surly and shoddy service. I would not be surprised if this restaurant closes down or changes ownership soon. Do not expect friendliness or concern for young children.

Sent from my iPhone

Had dinner here, and think that if it wasn't for the location, this place wouldn't do so well. Location is great, food is average at best. Food was pretty bland, and not great to be charged R10 for bread and R5 for butter!
Maybe a good spot for an afternoon beer.

Best spot in Jeffreys, without a doubt. Enjoy the view or kick off your shoes while you go for a stroll on the beach. Wine selection is surprisingly great with some exceptional South African wines at very reasonable prices. Food is very fresh and tasty. Service is laid back enough, but most waiters (luckily not ours) look a bit muff and not too keen to be there. Might just be the laid back, surfer attitude though, but dont be fooled. Great spot.

Jeffrey's Bay in December is crowded, busy and parking space almost non existant. Staggering in from two blocks away, Kitchen Window Beach Restaurant felt like a desert oasis.
Cool and spotless with a marvelous view over the bay. At night it has to be magical.
A beach restaurant with class, this Kitchen Window. The owners, Marius and Loraine are present, working alongside their staff. Our waiter Duan, sometimes absent minded, made up with being friendly and slightly quirky.
We started with farmed abalone from Hermanus, a rare delicacy. Though delcious, it's prepared with secret spices wich masks the original abalone flavour. I would prefer it simply prepared with just lemon, cream and perhaps a dash of white wine.
Catch of the day, Silverfish, was cooked perfectly, served with organic veg and mustard mash.
Without doubt, one of the best restaurants in the region. Well done! 😄

Lovely atmosphere and the food is top notch. The waiters are very friendly and accommodating. The wine is a tad pricey, but still a nice selection.

It is clear why Trip Advisor rates this restaurant as nr 1 to visit! The mains we had were amazing (Seafood Paella and Platter for 1), and the desserts were even better (African Profiteroles and Creme Brûlée)!! Will recommend it to anyone who listens!!

To avoid disappointment, make sure to book a reservation well in advance (few days). Also, book for late afternoon / early evening so you can enjoy the amazing view!

Had dinner there Friday night at recommendation of my guest house. Food was great. Big portions and delicious flavours. Highly recommend the kitchen windows flatbread starter. I had the surf and turf, fiancee had the salmon. Both very happy. Highly recommend.

Driving all the way from Port Elizabeth to have lunch at Kitchen Windows was more than worth it. With breathtaking views, lovely decor and friendly staff followed by incredible food and wine, we had a stunning afternoon here. This place has always and will always be my number 1 restaurant in JBay!

Probably one of my favourite spots to eat on JBay... Good food, simple but stylish decor, friendly staff and awesome views..the only problem i have is that in peak seasons it gets very busy but that is hardly a problem. Always leave with a smile!
