Review Casareccio Cucina Italiana - Hout Bay

I had the Lasagne, it is enough to share and absolutely delicious. The dessert was pretty bland, cheesecake with no sauce or ice cream. Service was great. Went back and had take put food which was superb. Chocolate mousse cake was delicious after pasta and garlic bread

Great spot to grab a coffee and enjoy a good meal. Super friendly and received good service from start to finish. Will be visiting again.

Best restaurant in Hout Bay; possibly the best restaurant in Cape Town. I always come here with my family when I’m in SA. Lots of great memories and a gem of Hout Bay <3 the Staff are amazing & George always goes out of his way to come say “hello” and make everyone feel welcome. Best place for a family dinner, first date, or solo meal regardless of the occasion.

George is one of the best host's we've ever been served by! His staff are very good , food is spectacular, super fresh and just overall great ! Very recommended to all visiting the cape!

We really enjoyed the food

I forgot my waiters name but he was funny ..enjoyed the drive out of the CBD but unfortunately encountered a log fall into our car from the mountain as we entered Houtbay..so stopped at police station made a case and then took a break to have muffins and coffee..thankyou for the service we needed the Casey sit down.

Good quality, soft meat and they know how to properly prepare it. If you ask for medium rare you actually get medium rare. The Lamb chops and Portuguese steak were awesome but first price goes to the Espetada, if you like enough meat, this is it. Not to mention the espressos, everything is just nice.

We had a lovely time at Casareccio. Pizza bases thin and crispy. Perfectly done! Gluten-free and banting options also available. Lots of other options on the menu as well. Service friendly, fast and efficient even though it was quite busy. Very nice to see a restaurant full like this on a week night. Owner present and hands-on, which always makes a huge difference. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Casareccio is conveniently located on the main road going out to Chapmans Peak and a great stop for cyclists, motorcycle groups and others for a quick bite or coffee en route. Not a great view or "fancy" for a special evening or event, but good value, food and service. Awesome local spot.

The food is good, the staff needs a bit of training as their expertise is below par, they are very slow to respond, make too many mistakes, will bring something to the table and leave without saying anything should you need something else.

Perfect breakfast, excellent atmosphere run by professionals. You don't have to like bikes to dine here! Will certainly see me again.
