If you are ever near hout bay. Do treat yourself to a breakfast here. Best breakfast i had in a long long time. Very nice and friendly staff with great tasting food.
What a fabulous day ! Thank you so much for the amazing vegan food .It was so lovely to be able to take my mom out for Mother’s Day as I was worried about how I would save up the money to be able to take my mom out but then I won this competition!! Your staff and managers were all so nice and made Mother’s Day very special especially when you handed out a little lush gift to all the mothers !!Definitely would recommend especially the vegan curry :))))))))
wow, wow, wow...what a fantastic way to end off a park run. the service was warm and inviting. the coffee perfect and delicious (not to mention well deserved. wink wink) massive shout out to Kerry and her team. we will defiantly be back....again and again and again.

I love the new ready-meals. They taste so delicious, like eating in a restaurant. Made some Basmati rice with the amazing Butter Chicken curry. Wow. Still haven't tried all of them. I don't know of any other ready-made meal that comes even close to those. Thanks for another brilliant idea, Ian.

We were there on the morning of the 19th, we joined my daughter and her friends. They did scrapbooking and we did beading. It was such a glorious morning. We used an entire table with our beads, we made wonderful creations we had delicious food and superb service. Thank you we will be back!!!

As always enjoyed the visit. Food was great. Staff was very accommodating and as always very aware and alert when patrons/customers needed their attention/services. Suggestions were also made. Waitress was excellent at upselling.
Breakfast here is an absolute treat! The juice was fresh and the eggs were perfectly cooked. The staff are all very friendly. The cakes look delicious and I will definitely be back to try them.

I would love to thank the manager for such friendly and welcoming service today. You went out of your way to make me a vegan friendly hot chocolate as well as to keep salad aside for me with no cheese. All the food was delicious and beautifully displayed. I will definitely be back.
Great cafe experience. Relaxed and spacious with good food and drinks. Cakes are wonderful particularly the blueberry cheesecake. Well worth a try 😉
Nice concept and pretty decent food. Can get a little pricey but the quality of the food all but makes up for it. Had quite decent service there in the past and have heard of multi-lingual wait staff if you wish to flex your high school German muscles.
There’s a spot in Hout Bay called La Cuccina that I didn’t know a thing about until a few weeks ago when it was recommended to me by a dear friend – and now I can’t believe it’s been hidden from me all these years! You’ll find La Cuccina on Victoria Road in Hout Bay, away from the touristy hustle and bustle, which is probably why I didn’t know about it before. Hout Bay has always been day trip material for me. But given this deliciousness, it might just turn into a foodie stop for me from now on!

It's the perfect place for a quick lunch - especially if you are in a hurry. The food is just as good as the service and ambience, and it's just an overall amazing place.
There are so many interesting things to choose from, and I love the fact that they have healthy food, as an affordable price. The manager is great, he is so friendly, and makes you feel great about visiting the restaurant - he engages with customers, and really treats the customers well.
One final remark, you have to try their banting cake - it is absolutely amazing, especially for people who don't like overly sweet treats!
I enjoyed a tasty veggie lunch from their harvest table/salad selection. Their roasted aubergine dish was so well seasoned and delicious. The veg rice paper rolls were also good. It's a nice big space, with friendly staff and the chef came to say hi and seems to check in with patrons which is great. Their fresh juice selection is also good, lots of veggie options as well so they're nice and healthy.
We didn't even look at the menu. The buffet style food was scrumptious. I don't usually like buffet, food by weight but this was special. A good variety....and an like and fresh New York cheesecake. Very good relaxed atmosphere. Just a few tourists photographing the food...which is another good sign. I will be back.
This is a little gem in Hout Bay that you need to visit for breakfast or lunch. You will not be disappointed. The menu is full of creative drinks (juices) and meals. Was there with a family of 5 and all of us had something different from the very original and creative menu. We all enjoyed it very much
Popped in for breakfast with 10 year and and 10 month old daughters. Was greeted by the staff and enquired about a baby seat. T eyes promptly seated me and brought the seats. For all parents out there they have a really good high chair which my baby couldn't escape from unlike those useless things u attach to the side of the table.
I had an iced coffee and my daughter a vanilla shake, both really good. They were very accommodating in assisting me with making porridge for the baby (I just needed some boiling water).
We both had the Tyson (bacon, egg, cheese, green onion) in a wrap. Was cooked well and delicious.
They have lots of cakes to buy as well.
While this establishment doesn't offer the ocean view of some other places in Hour Bay their service and food quality makes up for it.
Delicious food, friendly service - highly recommended! Plenty of options for vegetarians and carb watchers, if that's your thing. Great for a lunch date.
Always enjoy stopping at La Cuccina for breakfast or brunch. I always judge a place by the way managers treat their staff and you can see that in the service which is always consistent and attentive.
Food made with quality ingredients and this time I opted for their yummy French toast..was disappointed that their original french toast with berrie compote, butterscotch sauce and mascarpone cheese was taken off the menu, however I was accomodated by the manager...lovely touch that. No franchise rules here dictating that they cannot deviate from the menu.
Had a good cappuccino to accompany the french toast and my friend pronounced her eggs benedict a winner. They also make awesome juices and smoothies and their buffet always looks yum.

Great stop off in Hout Bay - lovely place for a working lunch. Friendly staff, great wifi, delicious coffee and breakfast all day long! I had the smashed avo with poached eggs - wasn't expected the fresh chilli but it was a lovely addition. Pizzas looked good too
Enjoyed a delicious breakfast at La Cuccina. The restaurant has a spacious welcoming feel. I enjoyed a Dirty Chai unfortunately no milk alternatives were available. The Eggs Benedict with salmon and holaindaise sauce was delicious. The French toast Brioche is the best pick for a sweet and exciting breakfast.
I really do love this place. It's got a great ambience, nice and sunny during the afternoons. I usually go for the buffet and am never let down by the selection and the quality of the food. The managers are usually very proactive, always making sure that you're 100% taken care of. Try the fish selection, usually outstanding.
Great place for a casual sunday brunch. Kick back with a complimentary sunday times, top notch coffee and home cooked-style buffet. Staff were friendly and management attentive. Highly recommended.

The food is incredible and so is the wine. The manager (perhaps owner) is extremely friendly and concerned with the comfort of his patrons. Love the atmosphere and vibe of this place. Will d finitely come back here the next time I'm in CT.

I had the privilege of being invited to the curry evening that La Cuccina which was absolutely phenomenal. The evening was rainy and cold which made it even more perfect. It is a buffet style setting, allowing you to try a variety of foods. The starting plates consisted of various samosas, crumbed mushrooms and naan bread.
The mains were to die for! 6 different curries, too little tummy space. I paced myself through the evening and managed to try each curry. Every one delicious and flavorful. My favorite was the lamb curry with the oh so yummy naan bread.
Dessert, I have no words. The various cupcakes and treats made the evening.
Absolutely love love love this place.
I would starve if it wasn't for La Cuccina.
It's pretty much my home kitchen away from home.
Always a good energy in the restaurant and the staff are always happy.
If you haven't tried the chocolate mouse cake, you haven't lived!

I love La Cuccina, so much so that I regularly drive to Hout Bay specifically to eat their delicious food.
Their breakfasts are great, with a wide choice from their menu as well as a buffet fit for the Gods 🙌🏼 Their gluten free muesli is the business, as is their rye bread. Their lunch options are also amazing, and I end up at the buffet every time despite how yummy their menu sounds!
They have great home-cooked meals that you can take away, so for the lazy cooks out there this is for you. They've also recently launched a curry evening on the last Friday of every month which I can't wait to try. Love love love La Cuccina

La Cuccina provides the perfect space for you to feel super chilled while munching on good, homely, comfort food.
We popped in for Sunday lunch and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The restaurant has a lovely feel to it… all light, airy, open planned and relaxed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food (buffet) was fresh & tasty with loads of options. On average they have 20 dishes to choose from (changed daily). All the meals are freshly prepared and each dish sounds as good as the next. The wonderful thing about a buffet is that you can take a little bit of this and a little bit of that to taste as much a possible… the problem with a buffet is – your plate is never really big enough for it all and you end up looking like a piggy
You have to try their cakes… We chose a piece of chocolate tart and a lemon tart and they were absolutely drool worthy. The chocolate tart was rich and the lemon tart was tangy and together they worked perfectly. Totally made up a new (soon to be famous) cake combination.
Great breakfast . Delicious scrambled eggs made with cream. Berry Appealing juice made from apple, strawberry, lime and mint. Good service. Disappointing freezo though.

A beautiful restaurant with a homey atmosphere. One can either eat there, either a la carte or their delicious buffet meals, or one can buy ready-made food for one's dining convenience. Their dessert selection is also divine. The Chocolate mouse cake comes highly recommended. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Amazing little place! The food was great and our waiter was so friendly. Would recommend this place if you're looking for a homey place with great food and cute little things to buy, this is the place!

Great place for breakfast and lunch, fantastic coffee and always a good vibe. Food is always very good and consistent. I am generally not a buffet fan but even that is good. The home cooked take away section convenient for last minute dinner situation.

A good simple menu in a stunning home accessories store. Think little ceramics and jewellery. I had the beef burger which was pretty good. I came for the takeaway ready made meals which are quite extensive. Looking forward to tasting. The owners attitude though sold me in this place. He wasn't happy with the freshness of the ready made meal I had chosen, so he gave us one on the house! These days that's amazing. So Bravo guys 😀
We visited La Cuccina today for the first time after a word of mouth recommendation. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised by the wide range of homemade dishes to choose from. Yes, we felt spoiled for choice. The food was absolutely superb, the staff, including the duty manager were very welcoming. We have jointly decided to become very regular customers of this establishment. Price wise? Extremely fair and affordable
The shop/restaurant itself is pretty good looking, spacious and well decorated. Their menu looks delicious. I haven't eaten here so I can't comment on food. Service seems to be rather good as well with staff acknowledging you on arrival and keen to seat/serve you. They have a great range of take away meals as well so you can still have their food without going to the restaurant as these meals are available at Spar and Wellness Warehouse as well.
