Review Dop En Kreef Restourant - Hondeklip Bay

One of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had in the Namaqua region. Very welcoming and efficient staff. Great location on the main beach. Tasty cocktails. The food was delicious and excellent quality. Only sad that they don’t open for breakfast too!

Great little West Coast / Namaqua gem. View onto the ocean. Very basic pub style setting. Seasonal operation. Prawns tasted like the ocean and snoek was well prepared and good taste too. Prices not unreasonable. Cards accepted.

DopEnKreef is a wonderful, warm welcoming restaurant overlooking Hondeklip beach. (The beach was all but invisible with the mist the night that I visited). The environment is cosy with interesting decor and knick knacks to investigate. A warm log fire was going in the corner on this misty and relatively cold night. Take the time to read the owner's story (if you understand Afrikaans) in the menu. It also gives information about the town and attractions with contact numbers to make things easy for tourists. The food was simply elegant and delicious. DopEnKreef is highly recommended to anybody visiting Hondeklip.

Sea side pub/ restuarant in a very remote little beach town. Yummy seafood and other options too for those of you who don't enjoy fish. Good service and lovely view.

It is amazing. Warm environment and friendly staff. Really a vibe. The food is average though. They are generous with alcohol in all their drinks and it's well priced 😉
