I decided to give Pallet Jacks a try under the new ownership, and was pleasantly surprised.
The food and service was good, but more importantly my niece and nephew had such an awesome time.
I'll definitely be coming back.
Good food and atmosphere. What's great is that it's not only for people with kids what even grown ups can have fun here. Service is a bit slow but overall good experience
This is a great child friendly resturant and staff a very friendly.The food is well priced and very good (I don't fell like I'm sitting at Spur 😄). If you have kids and looking for a good food I highly recommend Pallet Jack's
Absolutely love the play area's for the children. My son had a ball. We came here on a public holiday. So it was very busy. We had just ordered some drinks and it took about 25min plus. The service does need some improvement. Will come again and hopefully it will be better. Definitely think the restaurant is focused more on the children and play area which is fantastic!
Great place for around 2 years up to 14 year olds. Lots of fun things for them to do, and there are people helping so you could leave your older kids to play. What's impressive is the quality of their food, it's amazing! Loved everything out group had! Best of all, they have Blacksmiths Coffee Beans as their coffee which is excellent! If u have kids and you're in Durbs, take them here for the afternoon!
It was so cool! It was my first time and I absolutely loved it! Everyone is so friendly and helpful,the atmosphere is laid back and the children are happy with the enormous play area's. The food was good and dessert was even better. The decor is very eclectic and intriguing. Lounge Area was comfortable and inviting.

I originally posted a 2-star review last year but I'm happy to say that today's experience was leagues better than all of our previous experiences at Pallet Jacks.
Our waiter was fast and efficient, despite the restaurant being relatively busy. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and we were happy to see that most of the original menu items have been reinstated. Honestly the best fish cakes I've had in Durban (worth a weekly visit), and a great pap and wors starter that is definitely worth a mention.
A few of the waiters even joined in the kids' game of tag, which left the kids delighted and exhausted... smiles all round. The generator kicking in during yet another loadshedding event was an added bonus.
Well done to the new owners, who contacted me after my original review, promising great changes. I'm happy they were able to rise to the challenge, and wish them all the best for the future. 😊

This restaurant has the potential to be so much more. The play facilities are excellent and well-maintained but the menu offers very little and the food itself tastes pre-frozen and microwaved. Staff are notoriously slow and are devoid of warmth or enthusiasm. Considering there were only 3 tables there between 6 and 8pm and considering it was during load-shedding and the restaurant has a generator and full power, the management needs to take a look at making some changes (first step would be to improve on the menu offerings).
Great kids venue. Loved the food. Kids didn't want to leave. Looking forward to having our kids party there. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Cosy and fun atmosphere.
Great place for kids. Pizzas are tasty and crumbed chicken wings very nice.
Lovely place for kids and it is very well priced. There just needs to be a bit more variety and the service is a little slow.

The bad weather this past weekend forced us to change plans for my daughters birthday party in the eleventh hour.
We called Pallet Jacks when they opened at 8:30 this morning and they were amazing. We were able to host the party there.

This really is a great venue for kids of all ages and the food is amazing.
Thanks again to Pallet Jacks for helping make our daughter's 10th birthday a memorable one.

Great place to relax while your kids can play..food was good but service was bad..waitress seem uninterested in cleaning up and taking up our order.
Excellent to keep the kids entertained ,food is great but the staff need to be on it.

We loved it. There is plenty to keep the kids entertained with child minders on hand (although we didn't leave my nephew unattended by one of us as he is still quite small). Parking isn't always easy to get close by. Staff were friendly and willing to help, food may take a little while but is always piping hot and none of us were left dissatisfied by what we had ordered.
My first time there with my wife, two year old toddler and new born. Laid back atmosphere with good service. Food was also really nice, staff were friendly and warm. Best thing about it is you can sit really close to the toddler section while you eating if you are protective parents like we are lol:) All in all a good customer experience. Definitely highly recommended!
Pallet Jack's is an incredible place for kiddies. The play area is super clean, safe and fun. There are different age group sections to ensure harmonious play among all age groups. There is a carousel (for free) for the little ones and old school arcade games for older kids. The service was great however the food was not good at all. The chicken strips and chips for the kids was great but I wouldn't go there for a nice adult meal. I would rate it 2 stars if my rating was for adult food. But great great place to take the kids to play and leave with their bellies full.
