I have been here for many a girls night. Great deals on the ladies menu and the food is great so we keep going back. Cocktails are also good.
The atmosphere: is great at the back and the booths are comfortable.
The food: snails in Roquefort sauce were the best I’ve had, the Banting base pizzas have a unique flavor made from seeds and coconut, the normal pizza bases are crispy and good (toppings could be more on the normal base)
The service: was a bit slow & food slow to come
The price: most things are average to high in price especially if you are avoiding carbs meals range from R75-R140 roughly
The value: portion sizes are large aside from the Banting pizza
To note: they have a fantastic gin menu and fully stocked gin bar
Specials: R89 on Tuesday’s for a beer & pizza (men’s night) or R69 on Thursday (ladies night)

Still the best pasta and pizza restaurant in the upper highway area. Always great and have consistently produced great food. We in the area and will be back.
This is a quaint little restaurant with a nice well rounded atmosphere suitable for any food lover! The food coming out of the kitchen all looked amazing! The pizza I ordered was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. I would definitely recommend Papa Giovanni's to anyone that loves Italian cuisine. A must try! They also have great specials on Tuesday's and Wednesdays.
Love love love this restaurant! It's the best Italian place in kzn! It's so underrated, which is so sad, prices are awesome and the food is always fresh.

Wow! The food was out of this world. Papa Giovanni's is the ideal place to have wood fired pizza. I had the Luigi's pizza with a gluten-free crust and a non-alcoholic mojito, and hubby had the calzone with beer on tap. Our server - Alistair - was kind and attentive. We also met the owner and manager of the establishment, had a good 'ol chat, nice people. We will definitely be calling again.
This restaurant has been going since I was a kid, and I still love it so much! Whether dining in or getting it delivered, Papa Giovanni’s never disappoints! The pizzas and pastas are phenomenal, and they never skimp on the quantity or quality of ingredients.
Bonus: it’s 100% family friendly!
First visit here. Nice atmosphere, comfy seating. Clean facilities. Good service from waitron Alistair. I had the chicken schnitzel. Tasted good but looked like it came out a box. Hubby has lemon butter chicken. Unfortunately, something caused a very painful burning tummy. I also had a very slight burn later that evening. Although it did not cause the great discomfort like my hubby experienced. Due to this I won't be returning.
On the road all day, so stopped to get pizza. No cooking for us tonight. Hubby had the Salami and I had the Hawaiian pizza. We love their pizza's and definitely will return always. Highly recommend Papa Giovanni's best pizza in town. 10 out of 10. Staff are also very friendly and helpful.
When 5 of us got there it wasn't very buzy.
The place is very clean and tables neatly arranged for arriving patrons.
Our waiter was very friendly and attentive toward us.
The portion sizes were adequate and very flavourful.
As fast as the sauces go I would have preferences traditional crushed garlic instead of the smooth paste they served us.
The manager as well as the waiter cameras to check up on us to ensure we were happy.
The one unisex ablution at the back was very clean too.
I recommend this pizzeria to all pizza & pasta loving folks out there.

A really nice experience. The restaurant has expanded with a pleasant fire to warm the interior. Food was the same good quality as previously experienced with decent helping of toppings. Certainly great pizzas.

Very busy on a week night. We were a group of 8 and our waitron was very good and helpful. The only negative was the loud, unsuitable and irritating background music which made conversation very difficult. Our meals were well prepared and tasty. The prices were good and the menu extensive. Decor is ambient.

Lovely and friendly staff, food was delicious but had higher expectations. The beef medallions with mushroom sauce on fettuccine was great but not very well presented. I had much higher expectations for this dish. Overall, great atmosphere and service.

My sister's and I had lunch at your lovely restaurant on the 29/08/21. It was a first time visit. We were attended to by a lovely waiter (Felix or something with a F sorry I can't remember)The food was great and our waiter gave us excellent service 👍And because of this we will be back soon!
