Great Food! Great Venue! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the pleasure of hosting our Provincial Prizegiving at your venue, and two days post the event we are still getting positive compliments, more notably with regards to the food 🍽️ The buffet spread was diverse and catered for all our guests and was simply delicious, with your butter chicken dish and cheesecake being mentioned by many of the guests. We pushed you to your maximum capacity and you still managed to pull off a flawless event for 150 guests. Richard was fantastic, attentive and could not have been more helpful on the day which made our jobs so much easier at such a high pressure event. Thank you again, I would highly recommend your venue for those looking to host an event in the future.

We celebrated our year end party at Butlers Hillcrest. We had a wonderful time. We booked in advance and paid a R500 refundable booking fee. The food was delicious, the drinks were made perfectly and dessert was mouth watering 😋 Our waiter was friendly and experienced. The toilets were not clean. Safe parking. Great vibe and atmosphere. It would definitely recommend it.

The very definition of fine dining . 10/10 for overall experience. The food was amazing. The flavours were bold yet well balanced, a grand menu with a good variety offered. In every bite, an explosion of flavours , you can taste the good quality, fresh ingredients. Everything was cooked to perfection and exquisitely presented. Compliments to the chef who accommodated the picky eaters and the waiter who was attentive , polite , helpful and efficient. The venue was very classy perfect for special occasions. Tables are draped in black cloths, with a little vase of red roses in the center, walls decorated with ornate mirrors , ceilings bejewelled with glistening chandeliers. There is out door seating and indoor. What ever dessert you try , make sure it comes with the mango sorbet!! It was absolutely amazing 👏. Thank you to the team at Butler's for the great experience. Looking forward to celebrating more occasions with you!

Last week my partner and I dined at Butler's for my birthday. Their menu is extensive which is a major positive for me. I enjoyed their Norwegian salmon and he the Prosciutto wrapped beef fillet. Not the best, but good enough for me to visit again and try something new. Overall great service and ambience.

Lovely Restaurant in Hillcrest. Two visits so far, both excellent food, service etc .. friendly staff, ice cold draft beers, lovely menu. And try the specials during the week, very fair pricing. Assume it can get very busy at night, but plenty parking, tables and staff. Highly recommended

Very relaxed atmosphere. The staff made sure my wife Jean had a fantastic 50th birthday party and spoiled her so much. Thank you for a great afternoon.

A super place service on point, nice decor and ambiance menu very varied and for me awesome to see the Continental and French Classics here. Service was good and correct waiting time very acceptable based on ambiance and service levels. Food quality and was great, steak tartare in AFRICA seldom is 100% correct as was the case here but just to have the privilege of being able to see this “taboo” dish on a menu is worth it Will I be back? Yes for sure

Awesome warm , welcoming beautiful vintage setting. Had a surprise bday for my niece, we were given 5 star top notch service. Steve was out waiter who knew the specials of by heart. Excellent service best I have ever received from a waiter ! We were very impressed. I must admit, being a lover of salmon I ordered the salmon dish. Dismayed that the taste wasn't what I had expected though very well presented I brought it to Steves attention, he insisted I should try another dish to which I refused. He made sure I was compensated and said he didnt want me to leave unhappy and dissatisfied and recommended the macadamia and herb crusted lamb. I wasn't dissapointed ! Delicious and to think I almost didn't want to try anything else. Steve and Butlers 10/10. Though I would love to see lamb ribs in the menu ! Thank you for being our waiter!

We booked for the Valentine's day function last night, and what a fabulous evening it was! Everything was just wonderful.. from the Welcome glass of Pongraz bubbly, and rose petals on the tables, and the gorgeous rose I was given, to the exquisite menu. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious!! Our waitress was so helpful and a delight( sadly I can't recall her name...!! ) We just loved the sultry sounding young singer, she was a delight to listen to.... Just a perfect evening all round!! This was our first visit to Butler's, but it definitely won't be our last!!!

My Wife and I decided it was time for night out without the kids, as it had been a while since we last did something like this. We went for dinner and watched the comedy Show on the Comedy night been the 02 June. We had amazing evening, with an warmly felt atmosphere, and ended the evening with loads laughing. Not to forget the 3 course meal we had where the food was fabulous. Definitely would go back as reasonable and Excellent quality food and such helpful staff and watrons.

Tonight we braved a family dinner with a 20month old for the first time at a restaurant that doesn't give out balloons or have a plastic play area. I have rated them 5 stars purely because I couldn't give any higher! I've been to Butlers once before and was impressed but tonight was blown away. Not only is the ambience amazing, but the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic evening. Our waitress, Noxy, was amazing - even coming to my rescue with some pillows, a blanket and a make shift bed for my little boy when he got crotchety! The live music was a great touch and had my little one dancing and clapping for the talented singer. The evening was ended with a stunning birthday desert prepared especially for my mom. Definitely my new favorite place in Hillcrest!

Live music Tuesdays - what a winner! Celebrated a birthday last night and could not have chosen a nicer spot!! Staff amazing and quietly around when you need them which is rare today, rib special was really SPECIAL!! The house wine choice was great and we will most certainly be back to enjoy the incredible music and yummy food!!! Well done on getting it so perfectly right!!!

Had dinner on Saturday and it was top class. Restaurant was busy but our waiter was on top of his game. Food was delicious and the portions adequate.

The warmest friendliest ambiance in an incredibly beautiful setting. The food was excellent as was the staff. So far my best dining experience in Hillcrest!

Fantastic delicious food, romantic atmosphere and attention to detail in every aspect of the evening. From roses for the ladies to champagne at the door, we thoroughly enjoyed our Valentines evening!! Thank you. Our waitress Erin was attentive and incredible. We will definitely be back
