Love the playroom for the kids... Great idea to let the little ones make their own pizza Perhaps needs to be more consistent with the types of glasses they use for cocktails... differs on each round

The waiters are very polite, friendly and ready to assist whenever you need them. The Sunday carvery is excellent value for money and I would really recommend it. Well done to the new management.

For me, Dros evokes nostalgic emotions, so I might be biased. But I just love the place. The old rustic feel and ambiance created by the cellar like decor and brass bar counters just feels intimate and welcome. The food is mostly average, except the Eisbein and carpaccio, which are delicious. It is the combination of the venue, the service and the food that makes 3 individual average performing systems come together in one majestic experience for which you want to keep on coming back. Extra note, child friendly with a play area and fun activities where kids can make their own pizza!

It is a great place to get a beer and just chill with friends and family. The kiddies area is amazing ( they take good care of your child ) , the food is yummy and the service is fast. All in all, a great place

My favourite place to just go out and eat. Alcohol prices are insanely cheap considering the rest of the area. Love the vibe. Sometimes therea live music. Creates a great atmosphere. Their food is Absolutely DEVINE. Coming from Cape Town, ive been sceptical to eat seafood anywhere else. But Dros is the closest ive come to Cape Town .. 100%. Management is great. Lovely kiddies area. You really cant go wrong !

Dros Hartbeespoort has improved a lot. The changed the inside little and have some great weekly specials. Food also great, even enjoyed breakfast there sometimes.

Really enjoyed our meals at this restaurant and even the manager made sure our visit was an enjoyable experience. Great specials too

The fillet i ordered was disgusting to say the least, it smelled like dam water and tasted sour and when i complained the manager came up with a lame story that it was the basting sause and walked off. Apart from that plates were dirty and oily, cutlery was dirty. There are far better restaurants in harties and will never waste my money here again.

We ordered a takeaway of their lamb shank, they get the order incorrect firstly and then the sauce that accompanied the shank took a perfectly done piece of shank and made it revolting! When we called the lady at the front desk was rude and really unhelpful. Poor service all round

Dros Restaurant Hartbeespoort Dam,

I ordered the special steak on Sunday from the Dros in Hartbeespoort Dam. The steak was filled with seafood and on Special! When I started eating it it was disgusting but I finished it! The result, I landed up with food poisoning! The worst I ever had in my life! This special steak worked out to cost lot more than I bargained for after the doctor's bill and medicine! Moral of the story, make sure where you go and eat out!

We came here on the 1st of January as it was one of the few places open and we were all so hungry.

The toilets were in disrepair with one stall not working, the other stall was completely revolting having not being cleaned. The hand dryer was also not working.

We ordered our food. My husband's hamburger tasted very smoky but was cooked well. My calamari was slightly chewy and rubbery. Everything looked dry; however, it was surprisingly oily. My son's order was wrong; however, due to him being a hungry 2 year old, we took the wrong order in any case. The chicken nuggets he received appeared to be dry, but were not surprisingly oily.

Extremely disappointing meal and we are all left feeling somewhat nauseous.

Bathrooms filthy. Hand dryer not working. Water or pee on the floor. Toilets not flushed.
