Lou Lou’s has become one of my local favorites! They have the best parmigiana melanzane and their truffle fries are sooo yummy. It’s not just the food that is great, but the vibe too, perfectly lit and the staff are on point. Have attended a few events there and have always had so much fun!! A definite must try, especially for a girls night out!

Best food, best music, always have a great time when I'm there!
I went there for a birthday surprise for a friend and the waiter was really friendly and helpful.
The food was amazing, the pricing is definitely worth what you get. Such a cool atmosphere, friendly and hospitable staff. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and will definitely be back again!
Been here 4 times! I really like everything, except this one grumpy lady waitress who even returned my tip the first time I was there because it wasn't 10% ( other members refused to tip her cause she was unfriendly to us). Food is delicious.
My partner and I ordered the wagyu burger and the beef fillet with porcini sauce. The quality of the meat and other ingredients were the main attraction- all grass fed cuts of beef. Very pricey for the quantity would be a drawback. The fillet cost R225. Nothing too exciting to draw me back anytime soon although an enjoyable experience was had.
Get place for parties and lots of fun. Food was good, Music could be better, the atmosphere was great and overall made my 25th birthday special.
I had my 30th birthday there on the 20 July 2018. Thank you to Lou Lous for making it such a fantastic, fun and entertaining experience. The staff was amazing and so friendly and so was the manager Matt, very attentive and always checking up on us to make sure we were okay. The canape platters were yummy and so filling we did not need to order any extra food and we were around 15 people in total. The owner was down to party with us and joined in on the fun more than once, he makes his patrons feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to hold a small function they will no disappoint.
Great spot for a drink and food is really good. Try Friday for a good night out, secluded private venue hidden away from the crowds but loads of fun with great food try the pasta ragu or healthier options the grilled chicken scallopini it’s healthy and filling. Great decor and setting in Cape Town
Visited Lou Lou’s not too long ago and had quite a pleasant experience.. being a lover of tapas I had ordered the prawn toast, the seared spiced tuna and trio of dips with focaccia bread. I would highly recommend this spot as I thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes.
Best place in Cape Town to have delicious food, quality service and dance the night away after dinner. What more could you want? Plus they have special themed nights throughout the week. Lou’s Lou’s I love you!
Lou Lou’s has a dark sophisticated aesthetic that exudes style reminiscent of an old school cigar lounge. Loved the interior! The staff are friendly and helpful. We ordered the Arancini and the caprese salad , both were delicious. I’d go again perhaps with a bigger group as this restaurant looks like it would hold a fantastic birthday dinner or celebration.
Such a great evening. Ambiance was set with beautiful yellow light that made the evening a lot warmer. Food came I small portions but full of flavour. Bartenders were quick and attentive. Very good management of a very big group.
Had an early supper at this place last night as part of restaurant week. What a vibey, cool place! Awesome drinks, and the best calamari I have ever had! Our waitress, Ester, was friendly and attentive and all the staff were really nice. This is a really nice place for the slightly older, but who still wanna have a good time, to hang out. It apparently gets quite lively on a thursday night with a dance floor and dj. Glad i visited, and certainly plan on visiting again soon.
Despite previous issues with management I am not one to hold a grudge. Review from tonight: Really nice wagyu burger and truffle fries, I had the Norwegian salmon which was nice but the vegetables weren't the most appetising. Not amazing service but I have given them a 4 because of the ambience, food and drinks. The bread platter is an option if you just want to dip and sip 😊 I previously had an issue with the platter but today it all was good 👌go for some sides and snacks/tapas.

This is such a classy venue, we can't even encapsulate it and so we highly suggest you go see for yourself 🤷🏾♂️... however we shall attempt at saying that the Italian Owner's personal aesthetic comes through; we don't know why, but when we think Lou Lou's we think of something between a cigar lounge (minus the cigars), a jazz lounge 🎷and and a champagne bar 🥂🍾
The dark wood, and dim lighting add to the ambience making you forget you're inside a mall (mind you it'll always be when the mall is empty, as Lou Lou's is best in the late evenings for an intimate dinner)...
🍴the food is absolutely incredible, especially the Pork belly (🐖 if you've read our other reviews you'll know we're on the hunt for the best pork belly🤤)
The service was energetic, good and the owner sat at the bar keeping a watchful eye that all was going well... our time there felt like a VIP experience a concierge might arrange 👌🏾great music, good vibe. Highly recommended
TIP: it's located in the Cape Quarter, and we would suggest you dress up ever so slightly or full on... order some local bubbly 🇿🇦🍾, ask your waitron for food recommendations and enjoy!
Amazing ambiance, and a nice crowd, not too young as most other places in the area. It’s classy, sophisticated and the food not only looks appetizing, it really is flavorful and delicious! This will be my new place for a drink after work or a delicious meal with friends or even for date night!
Absolutely gorgeous establishment. The interior is to die for with such a relaxing, sophisticated vibe. The prego rolls are delicious. That homemade prego sauce was just spot on. Service is splendid. There's nothing better than pleasant waiters and barman. The wine list is the real winner. Caters to everyone's taste from fine wines to extra old cognac. My new favourite splurge.
Nice setting in a courtyard. Beef prego with a delicious salad. Wagyu beef burger was just right - with some truffle chips. W I D E selection of whiskys to wet your appetite.
The atmosphere is very cool and sophisticated, super busy but still really nice and relaxed. It was vibey enough so that you could still hear the person on the other side of the table. The service was great, we had the most patient and friendly waitress - She really made our meal enjoyable - Super bubbly and efficient.
My starter (prawn toast) was a bit average, but my cauliflower risotto was aahmazing as was my passion fruit Panna cotta.
The portion sizes were also spot on, which meant leaving satisfied, not stuffed.
Classy and sophisticated perfectly describes this new spot Lou Lou's Bar in trendy Cape Quarter. Great for summer cocktails on the square, or cosy inside by the fire. Beautiful interior of dark wood and interesting decor makes this an exciting addition to the Cape Town bar and restaurant scene.

What a swanky spot!
It's intimate, warm and extremely welcoming. Lou Lous exterior has the elements of a quaint little bistro that you'd happen upon traveling through Europe. What you step into is something else entirely – think diplomat's or statesman's chambers. It would be the perfect place to enjoy an expensive, pungent cigar with an equally bold cognac or whiskey.
The marriage of those two styles is executed effortlessly.
The food was palatable. Be sure to try the seared tuna starter. Seriously.
The cauliflower Risotto and Rigatoni Primavera were done a little too al dente for our liking but that's a personal choice. All the flavours were there, and the Boschendal wine Sauvignon Blanc paired beautifully with them, but the dishes were just too crunchy to fully enjoy,
Finish off with the chocolate brownie for sure! The passion fruit panna cotta was a little too tart for our liking, but again, personal preference.
Definitely worth a visit and we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for the wine cocktails they're gonna conjure up for the coming summer season. Thanks for a lovely LOVELY evening guys.

First time visit and we were pleasantly surprised. Stunning interior which makes you feel like you are almost a couple of centuries ahead and behind 2019 at the same time. Very good vibe and stunning music played all night long. The food was delicious and the service was good too. Will defenitly be back to visit again.
Lou Lou's bar is a really cosy spot in the Cape Quarter perfect for an intimate evening. What really attracted me to the venue was the really grand looking interior decor. I absolutely love a venue with unique style and interest decor pieces. The dim lighting sets the mood and gives a warm feel to the place. Apart from the aesthetics the food is really good. I would recommend the Chicken Caesar salad the portions are filling and the seared tuna is also yum and not badly priced.
Such a vibe on a Friday night. They play awesome music, the decor and furniture is inviting and the burgers are delicious. Staff are very professional and it's on the entertainer app, perfect for date night😍
Well what can I say great tapas and service aswell. Great ambiance with a cosy feel for big groups and intimate get together with friends or couples. So do stop by for after work cocktails or a pub lunch I'm sure they will have something to your liking.

Great after work spot to meet up, have some good whiskeys or a vino. Some great wines on the winelist. Food is brilliant and also some tellys for the sport. Upmarket crowd and spot for the beautiful people. Starts slow and can get quite rowdy at night. Also great lunch specials for people that work in the area.

Been there twice and loved it. Very happening on a Thursday with DJ. Service great even when busy, great honest food, fresh ingredients. Sergio the owner is super friendly and on the ball.
The food, drinks, vibe and service is great. Nice place for date night, ladies/guys night out and celebrations. Will be visiting Lou Lou's more often.

Very cosy and intimate with mellow background music. Perfect for a date. Food is nice but plan on spending a pretty penny if you not into refined portion sizes.
Guys there's a TV ask for sport they have the sports package.
Great all round bar with very skilled bar staff.
Great location, however try to get street parking as it was a literal mission trying to get to our car as they lock a few entrances and no securities are in sight to assist.
Ladies if you wearing heels and you don't park close enough expect and uneven walking surface getting to the restaurant.
Overall highly recommended.
