Review Lift Cafe - Graskop

Awesome views and great food at the Lift Cafe! Going down the lift to the forest opens up a shortish walk that shows and sums up the beautiful landscape of the Graskop area. A MUST when spending some time close to the Kruger area. Highly recommend it here!

From our arrival until we left a few hours later we enjoyed every moment. This is a must visit in Graskop. Well managed, save parking, a number of shops and restaurants. The king swing, suspension bridge the lift the walk ways and trail was an experience. Everything well maintained. Last but not least the view of the gorge with the waterfall was the best. I can recommend a visit to the gorge lift.... a bit expensive specially for a family. Note: No cash accepted only card payments.

What an amazing experience! A well run and well executed operation from beginning to end. The interpretive trail beginning with the journey into the gorge via the lift is out of this world. The boardwalk and suspension bridges that guide you through the prehistoric forest is incredible. The walkway has wonderfully educational information boards dotted along the way. One could spend an entire day on the trail and not get bored. Toilet facilities were spotless, staff were friendly and efficient. I will definitely be returning!

Definitely a must! This was our last stop of the Panorama Route and what an incredible way to end an incredible trip! I recommend saving this one for last. Do try the rainforest and lift experience - it's SO worth it. If you're feeling brave, you can also go for the zip line and big swing experiences. We had loads of fun!

We had an amazing experience going down in the Gorge. Staff was so friendly and helpful, and the walk down in the Gorge was sooo beautiful. Words or pictures can not really describe it. The plant life and the waterfall are just wow. The swing bridges created a lot of excitement. Thanks, Graskop Gorge. It was an experience that I will treasure.

Awesome awesome awesome. Did the zip lining, and really enjoyed ourselves. Took the lift to the bottom of the 'forest' and walked all along the wooden walkways. A lot to learn about nature. Beautiful place to visit ... a MUST to visit.

What a beautiful place. We had so much fun doing the Zipline and the Big Swing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The Big Swing was so exhilirating and fun, definitely worth doing if you are a thrill seeker! Free falling next to a waterfall is such a awesome feeling. Lift Cafe's food was also lovely.

Beautiful outing in pristine settings at gorge. Well managed seamless moving people. Upstairs was a bit rowdy with school children ziplining otherwise very peaceful walk in the gorge. Labelled trees and well kept walkways waterfall was amazing

Nice place to be, I enjoyed being there even though I got stucked up the zipline but the staff was so friendly and helping me getting down there without panicking. The place is so wow.

Exceptional location and well maintained. This is the perfect example of how our natural attractions could be. Five stars in every respect but very expensive for locals to enjoy the activities, especially families. Would be great to see discounted rates for SA citizens as you are charged an entrance fee and then still have to pay for forest walks, the lift and zip line separately. I thought this was taking advantage as nature belongs to all South Africans. Zip lining was an experience in the mist but a short line for the price, especially when you can’t see more than a metre. In retrospect, the forest walk may have been the better option. Next time! Highly recommended if you can afford it.

The children and I had a blast at this place. A wonderful gorge with so many things to do and see. It was supposed to be a quick stop while doing the panorama route and we eventually spent 2 hours there. The kids did the zipline, I did the jump work the swing. Amazing experiment. It is definitely worth a visit.

Very interesting structure with a lot of behind the scenes. If you go on the big swing you can take the lift up for free. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience

Everything about the place is fabulous from the pizzas to the hot chocolate, amazing views all round. Not forgetting the big swing and zipline. To name a few. The forest below is amazing walking along wooden bridges along the waterfall.

This is an experience, not for the faint-hearted. It's scary and exciting at the same time. The staff is encouraging and safety focused. There isn't much to do, but the two things you get to are worth the price and the visit.

Great family experience. It was foggy when I went in the morning so maybe try later during the day for a better viewing experience. Zipline is awesome

Amazing views and wonderful boardwalk through the gorge. Most of the walk in the gorge is shaded due to the natural canopy the trees provide.

We had a remarkable experience during our visit to this establishment, which my girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed. We specifically included this stop in our holiday itinerary all the way from Pretoria. Our activities included engaging in zip lines and experiencing the thrill of the big swing in the canyon. While it is true that the cost for the short-lived excitement and adrenaline rush may be considered somewhat high, the transformative impact of the experience made it truly worthwhile. It is worth noting that some confusion arose during our exploration, as once we reached the top again,there was no option to return without repurchasing the lift ticket again. And there is no stairs to go explore the canyon at the bottom? Despite the day being characterized by extremely cold and unfavorable weather conditions, it ultimately proved to be an exceptional one. Credit goes to the highly professional and friendly staff, setting them apart from other establishments I have frequented in the past. For those with the means to afford this adventure, I wholeheartedly recommend embracing this opportunity without hesitation.

Incredible view on arrival with modern facilities and fantastic friendly service! The lift itself is spectacular, the experience of following the length of a waterfall to end up in a forest wonderland is magical and then the meandering tailor made wooden walk way is enough to take your breath away.

Chose the worst day for this - hazy and overcast but still worth the trip! Stunning service at the Café and the shops in and around host amazing quality stuff. Really, really impressed with this and will be back for the view!

Highlight of our trip around MP this past week. Great views, clean and modern setup, very vriendly staff and great food! This is a must do stop when you are in MP!

It is absolutely amazing.. Breathtaking is an understatement.. Can't wait to visit again. We send all our out of town clients there and they are all amazed.. So happy to have this gem in the Lowveld.. Well done..

What an amazing project to have undertaken - the lift has such a smooth travel and the boardwalks provide incredible views of the exquisitely beautiful forest below, and the waterfall. Well done James and team - it’s just brilliant. Highly recommended whatever the weather.
