I was at Harbour lights with my friends and I had a calzone pizza. It was simply fantastic. It tasted like we were eating in an Italian trattoria. We could not find a better pizza place in the area!!!
Really the best sea food and cooked in a great way I had in a long time. Service was also efficient and friendly. I will definitely go back.
Today I was with my family in this restaurant..I ate two specialities dishes (curry crusted kingklip and kingklip thermidor) and they were very good!I have tasted a good tiramisu home made..service was excellent and from the top floor we enjoyed a fantastic sunset..I will come back as soon as possible to this place!

Me and my hubby were very happy with our meals tonight and its our first time. Calamari for me, perfectly prepared and melt in the mouth soft, and my hubby had hake (he is very fussy with fish) and he said it was perfectly cook. Your chef is amazing and staff very friendly. We will definitely be back again. :-)

I have been on holiday in Cape Town and one day i went in this restaurant! I had vegetarian pasta and for me that I am Italian was really delicious! The staff was qualified and they gave us advice!!! If one day i will come back in Cape Town i will eat only at Harbour lights
Yesterday 2 friends and I had lunch at Ocean Basket in Gordon's Bay. Sushi was up to its normal brilliant standard, the views are absolutely stunning!! But best of all was our waiter, Akhona who was amazing; very informative about the menu, extremely friendly, helpful and attentive...give that man an increase, not a Bell's!!!
The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our experience; the food, the ambience and the service and will definitely be back.
I absolutely love this spot for sunset drinks and dinner. The food is consistent with the Ocean Basket standard which is good, middle-of-the-road seafood accompanied by a chilled glass of chenin.
Bathrooms need some attention and the reception could be a bit more alert, but good otherwise.
The staff are nice, but what is unique is the view... it's simply incredible!!! If for no other reason, this should be why you give this OB a try.

I love ocean basket, and this was my first time at Ocean Basket Gordons Bay, and it did not disappoint! The waitress was so so kind, and the food was delicious! I had the grilled calamari with panko zucchini (definitely would recommend), and my sisters both had fried calamari with chips, and they loved it. Very nice location!
Probably the best seafood in the world! Amazing platters, prawns, calamari and sushi! Great and friendly staff, warm atmosphere and wonderful ocean views!

We drove all the way from Paarl and may I say the food was delicious and fresh, staff was friendly the Manager was Awesome and kind overall what a lovely experience
It's quite crowded around 6.30pm on the weekend and takes almost an hour to serve the main course. It's totally understandable that they can't fry and serve chips due to load-shedding. The food is okay, but grilled is not recommended due to the small portion and weird sauce. That watermelon cooler is also syrup + soda + lemon + mint. The view is so good during the sunset but it's very windy outside and no / min lighting in the parking area.

Please consider getting gas burners for loadshedding. We enjoyed the time chatting and staring at the ocean, so the time flew by. Other people might feel differently. Food and service are great

A 'must go to' spot every time we visit Harbour Island. Tasty, fresh and inexpensive seafood right on the harbour's edge. Wendy really looked after us. Highly recommended.
Always love eating here! The staff are great, food is amazing, and the location on the harbour is fantastic, especially at sunset. It's common to see seals playing in the harbour, and it it's a windy day with lots of waves, you can watch the waves crashing over onto the harbour wall.
It can get quite hot inside on warm days with all the windows, and the sun shines straight in in the evenings, but there's lots of outside seating.
Shoutout to the lady assumed to be the manageress. She is super efficient, friendly with everyone amidst an extremely busy period, seating everyone. The platters was awesome, fresh and delicious. All the drinks deserve their own accolades. Definitely worth the drive from CT.
Great experience for the full family. Food was amazing and service was great. Girlfriend had the kingklip which was cooked to perfection and I had the prawn calamari and hake platter which was so good it distracted me from taking any pictures of it unfortunately. Definitely worth a visit when in Gordon's Bay but be warned it can be busy and you may have to wait if you go for dinner without a reservation
Beautifully breathtaking view of the ocean, and the mountain, good service, very attentive and well mannered staff. Also has a view of the small habour with a walk-way, where you can sit on the rocks after the meal. Didn't have to wait too long for the food to arrive, and the food was delicious. Very nice butter sauce, which ocean basket is so famous for. And there is plenty of parking, for cars and buses. Would go again anytime

Where do I even start...
Thier food! It was so fresh, everything was well prepared especially the tenticles. I've never seen them soft in their original purple colour at any other ocean basket, they had so much flavor and texture. It was YUM
They are usually overcooked and crumbly and brown ๐ค.
I think there should be an option of well done or medium rare tenticles, it's just so depressing that we have to be deprived from easy yet tasty food.
The service and view is great, overlooking the ocean and mountains while having your meal and being entertained by surfers and fisherman in the distance. Our waiter made us feel at home and always asking if we're good.
Within minutes of ordering our food was warm, tasty and ready.
While having our meal, a fisherman caught one and came straight to the restaurant to sell the 'catch of the day'. For me, that was super cool. Supporting local and yet having fresh produce, what more do you want? ๐
Anyway, this is a great spot for a summers day lunch, date night or a family supper.

Ocean Basket Gordon's Bay offers the most amazing dining experience. The view is absolutely breathtaking and so is the customer service and food. Everything is always fresh and the portion sizes are definitely worth the price. The menu has some lovely new additions and the mocktails on offer is the perfect refreshing drink on a hot summers day. I particularly love the strawberry daiquiri however every other drink is just as delicious. The restaurant is clean and neat and has a lovely outside seating area overlooking the ocean. I definitely will be returning. This is a lovely spot to take visitors visiting the Gordon's Bay area for the first time.
