My initial review below was a 1 star but after the owner spoke to me, just the humbleness and willingness to rectify the situation makes me give them a 5 star. I will definitely still be a regular customer and will still support them as I have always done! "Very disappointed tonight. I am a regular customer as my wife loves your spicy hake pot and I also got to like it a lot. Good value for money. Tonight I bought 3 and what I received was not up to standard. No spice to speak off, no sauce, hake was grilled and looked like 1 piece of hake shared 3 ways. Basically got flavored rice(also way below normal standard) for R150. Really sad! Attached is a pic. Not what a hake pot should be."

Great food but staff could be a little more helpful and cheerful, it's the SERVICE industry.

Below was my previous review. After the store called me to explain that their machine was on the incorrect setting and that they apologized for the inconvenience caused about the calamari. They also sent me a complimentary meal, I have changed their rating. Well done to the owner for great customer service. Usually I order the Good Life meal and it's really good. Last night I ordered it again, and when I got home, the store forgot to put in the calamari. By the time they delivered the calamari my meal was done. Also it seems they used old oil for the chips and calamari as it had a terrible taste. Someone needs to do Quality checks on oil and when food leaves the kitchen. Very disappointed this time around.

The best Steers, I only go here. You guys know how to deal with clients and the food is always well prepared.

Make no mistake now allocated within the steers premises and have down sized some what. The quality has not taken a knock at all!all seafood is freshly prepared and delicious.

The staff are very pleasant and they accommodate very well the last minute people who come in to order or collect. Something that happens at a more and more public businesses these days is that some of the staff shout at each other (instead of talking) and they had no regard for me the customer that is being served at the time. I will continue to go to this franchise because it's near to me and I hope that I don't get irritated by this again.

Service very good. Food not bad a bit bland the lemon butter sauce needs more lemon . The coleslaw was a bit mingy 75g . I had the hake special . All round not too bad. Will go back. Thank you

Awsome food. "Hang-out" place for decent food.

Dropped in for lunch when I was working in the vicinity. Ultra friendly service across the counter. The fish n chips I ordered was decent enough but unfortunately it was not as fresh as I would have liked it to be. I suppose that is the problem with being inland and only being able to source frozen fish.

I came In and three tables from the eat in were not cleared. It was messy and the staff did not seem to be bothered to clean them. They were not busy and could have cleaned up in the quiet time surely. I received my meals in reasonable time. My hake and grilled vegetables was extremely salty. I will think twice about going there again. I have been there before it just seems to get worse every time.
