Partner ordered fried hake served with lemon butter and chips.
Both meals were delicious. Can recommend this restaurant.

Can't give 5 stars to a chain restaurant, but it was pretty good. The waitress (caylenne??) Was excellent. The food was good, and desserts were divine. A good value meal overall.

Food excellent except for their fish dish. Fish had sixteen bones between myself and husband. Told the manager and he was extremely apologetic. He kindly offered to give us something else but we declined due to time constraints. We will keep going back.

We came here for lunch and as per usual, the food was absolutely amazing, the service was great thanks to our waitress, Bongi(?), and the atmosphere was lovely! It's always nice with friendly staff and quick service. I highly reccomend it here!

The Prawn special is well worth R99. The rice could have had a bit more taste to it but the prawns were excellent.

My brother and I had a hearty breakfast consisting of bacon eggs two slices of toast and 2 sausages. I was pleasantly surprised because I thought you eat only fish dishes at John Dory's.

We love coming here for garlic prawns. We live in Knysna and have a lot of seafood restaurants but yet John Dory's remains our favourite. Also great value for money. There's a nice safe outdoor play area for kids. They are licensed to serve alcohol. Also be sure to say hi to Nemo in the small fish tank by the entrance. Or pick your fresh oysters.
