Good Food and Safe playarea
Stopped here for a fast breakfast. The portions and large and food is very good. Nice relaxed vibe to the restaurant even with a full house. The pricing is also excellent. I do recommend this place
I was originally very skeptical of the restaurant attached to the petrol station, but they certainly do deliver! The menu offers such good value for money and delicious farm style food. Very appropriate for the southern cape! Highly recommended stop when passing through on the way to your destination. Or just for a wholesome sunday lunch.
Nestled between George and Wilderness, it make a good place to stop for breakfast on your way to the local surf spot. The "swart pot ontbyt" (black pot breakfast) is WOW. Stop off there and be pleasantly surprised.
Conveniently situated next to the N2, we grabbed a quick take away. Nice portions, tasty and vetkoek at only R28 (incorrect on menu attached). Cute padstal to browse while waiting and there is also the option of sit down.

Simply food like tosties and breakfast 🥞🍳 but done in a very professional manner .

Was very good in days gone by but I think they should look in general at the service and atmosphere. Most times when the owners is not visible anymore and the business is run by the staff the quality takes a dip
They deserve a five star rating. Service with a smile and breakfasts that will make you return for more. I had the Kontrei Breakfast, if you are hungry this is for you! You will be satisfied. The rest had the sausage breakfast and they were happy! We were here on Father's day and they made the effort of making it special!

The Eats:
Choc shake
Filter coffee
Breakfast: Boerewors, egg, cheese, bacon and shrooms in a black potjie with a slice of toast
Cheese and mushroom panini
Pros:
The choc shake was lekker!
You get a rusk along with the coffee
Great breakfasts/fry-up
The black pot is something different/cool
Cons:
Coffee not great; watered down. The rusk doesn’t taste homemade
Suggestions:
The black pot can do with a second slice of toast
No doubt that after 7 years of knowing about and lots of stops for breakfasts at kontrei padstal that if you do not stop here you are missing a true gem of the Western Cape and a dining and friendly service experience that you wont eaaily find anywhere else in the country. I will always have them as a stop when i pass thru. Amazing work Kontrei Padstal 👌🏻
The food is really well priced . The staff was friendly and we didn't wait long for our food. The portions are generous.
