Very nice place off the Knysna road 🛣️ Very nice decor inside 💠 The menu has a decent amount to choose from we went with 2 burgers 🍔 which were very nice they make the Patty's on site. Very good coffee too and the staff were all very friendly and professional. Definitely be back. They have lovely gardens 🏡 too for a short walk after something to eat .

What an amazing place... A real gem in George. Definitely a must stop and has vegan options too.

We came here for breakfast! So delicious, vegan options available. Very tasty food with an outstanding service. We could sit outside, which was beautiful, with the garden around. But also inside it is stunning. We will be back here for sure.

One of the best places I have been to in along time atmosphere is awesome relaxing and the setting is great. All there salad ingredients are freshly grown in the garden absolutely delicious. The cakes are delicious and the coffee is amazing. Well worth the visit. Great job guys and girls

Will recommend it for business and social settings. The staff are amazing, food is good, fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. The setting is amazing, lush gardens, the fireplaces and couches for winter days, the plug points for laptops, being shielded against loadshedding and free WiFi are all positives

We went for lunch on recommendation, and i was pleasantly surprised. A hidden gem,kids friendly. A definite highlight for my George visit. Generous portions, tasty food. Serene surroundings makes this place extra special.

A beautiful restaurant with a beautiful garden. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Great for breakfast and lunch. Not always open for dinner. Lots of parking. Great food. Spcae for the kiddies to play outside. Prices are very reasonable.

The most beautiful setting inside and outside. Play area for kids, friendliest and knowledgeable staff. Will definitely make a booking for special occasions such as mothers day or birthdays. Well deserved guys from Deacon House.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful gardens outside. Clean bathrooms. Best coffee I've tasted I a while and the best part was that the cappuccino was perfect drinking temperate - I hate it when coffee burns my tongue. I like that they offer decaf and vegan options. The food we had was really yummy. They were unable to make a few options and the waiter only told us this after we placed the order - would have loved to hear that when we received the menus. Love the interior of the place - lovely ambiance. They are only open until 5 though so not a dinner place.

Our family of 7 enjoyed breakfast on a fairly busy morning. After disappointing lunch the previous day, this place restored our confidence in restaurants with their great service, excellent quality and stunning presentation. Overall a positive experience, enjoyed by the whole family. Highly recommended.

Landed in George and stopped over at the Deacon House for early lunch...the food was great, lovely waiters and a beautiful setting with the garden and the mountain in the background. Would definitely recommend the place.

Gorgeous restaurant with beautiful landscape gardens. If you have kids, don't miss the playground out back! Back! Definitely try the iced coffee and the chickpea burger. Fabulous and quick service. Generous portions and peaceful setting. Great for families and groups! Don't miss this along the garden route. Also, the food is healthy and fresh.

We had a great time at Deacon House. I had the French toast and it was delicious. The rest of our guests also enjoyed their food thoroughly. The chips was perfect. Service was prompt, the setting is stylish and the gardens are beautiful and well kept. A lovely experience. We will visit again and again. Highly recommended!

Stopped by for a quick breakfast and to explore the gardens. Really stunning views. The garden path is refreshing and especially beautiful now into autumn with the change of leaves. Their standard breakfast of eggs was excellent on sourdough bread with tomato relish, and the boerewors is fantastic! Excellent cappuccino as well.

With George- and Cradock peaks in the background there’s a great menu, food and drinks, to enjoy. Their gardens are beautiful in summertime! Casual setting. Pause coffee can be bought over counter here

This is the best restaurant in George and Chef Jason not only shows his talents but listens to his diner's requests. The patio deck has great views of the mountain and the entire venue has a chilled vibe. This is a must visit bistro with the Chef and owners be proud.
