Review Shan Sushi - George

we found Shan Sushi during loadshedding. It's a pity that I don't live in George because I would definitely make regular visits there if I did. The atmosphere was great as was the service and food.

Amazing prices, awesome staff, even better sushi. Arrived late on what was their busiest night of the year, and while the wait time left something to be desired, the sushi was worth every second! Would absolutely become a regular if I lived anywhere near George!

Best for take away. Great sushi and great prices. We had the Maggie platter and Smoked salmon sandwiches and added two extra portions of ginger which worked out perfectly. Can definitely recommend them!

Owner and Sammy were beyond pleasant. Sushi was fresh. Prawn Tempura is the best in town. Anything Crispy is a must. My dear father had his first Sushi experience @65y today, living!! Area of improvement: obtain a liquor licence. Haha no photo Folks, couldn’t wait to eat :)

The venue is a very simple and minimal. However the sushi is really good quality and prices are reasonable. Very good value when compared to other similar spots in George. The take-away service is very active and popular. In my opinion Shan Sushi is the best place for take-away Sushi in George. The menu is comprehensive with a good selection of combo type deals, we have a few that we enjoy such as the Maggie's Special. Our favourites are the Fashion Sandwiches and the Rainbow Rolls. Go ahead and try the Bean Curd, strange sounding but delicious. They have a limited selection of cold drinks to go with your order. It's a friendly place, you will enjoy their food, give them a try.

Shan Sushi has reasonably priced food, an easy to read menu and a friendly chef. Their portions are fairly large and they do not skimp on the ingredients. Unfortunately, they have limited spaces for seats, but this is also nice as many people order takeaways and so you can have a nice quiet meal.

Attention to detail is the name of the game. Some portions can be seasoned with more salmon and less rice. The owner is at the store all the time and make sure everything is fresh and prepared.

Absolutely best sushi in George. Love it!

I have tried every sushi shop in the area, and can say that Shan Sushi bar is the best sushi ever by far,and the owners are so friendly, already feels like family.. And even better it's affordable... Very highly recommend!!!!!!
