My wife and I both celebrated our birthdays here. The affordable food is great and fairly authentic Turkish... The portions will satisfy a lion's appetite. Don't leave without the dessert for 4... The Turkish Coffee is sweet and amazing. Made with Baruchs coffee.
If you like Turkish cuisine you are in for a treat, be sure to book ahead of time though as they are almost always full. Wonderful food, atmosphere and service.
Amazing Turkish restaurant with an atmosphere to match. The food all round was sublime and the service was friendly and quick even though they were fully booked. Will certainly be visiting again on another visit to George.
Booking is essential and its easy to see why. There is an amazing atmosphere and the food is divine. When you arrive at your table you get greeted with rose water for your hands and freshly made Turkish Delight. And it only gets better from there. Will definitely be back.
Amazing little Turkish restaurant. As usual I do not book. Luckily this is another little place that knows how to make a plan as from what I have heard afterwards from locals it is impossible to to get in especially over season...They recommend at least a week in advance. Well I can see why. Amazing Turkish style dishes. I opted for their Lamb platter which was perfectly cooked. My girlfriend had their vegetarian platter...even myself as a meat eater enjoyed it :) Service and ambiance was great. It is a little hidden gem and it comes highly recommended.
Amazing place! Super friendly staff, delicious food, great prices. We tried some new food with an eclectic 3 course meal and every piece was superb. I will always visit this place when in George!

They are known for their delicious beef and lamb dishes - meat sourced by the Van Rensburg's butchery downstairs. Give their traditional roast leg of lamb a try.
A George jewel and after the make over we had to visit. We didn’t expect anything less. The attentive staff, warm generous food, coupled with taste makes this place one of the best restaurants in George. The prices are competitive and if you have been here before you know that it’s reputation compliments it’s popularity. Well done to the owners and staff. We appreciate it! Side note: took a takeaways for family at home too and the quality was consistent with dining in.
I really enjoyed the food and the ambience. I ordered a pork steak...can't remember exactly the name used on the menu but it was nice. My two friends also enjoyed their meals. It's value for money. There was a belly dancer on the day who was entertaining patrons. It was ok but I found the music too loud at times we could hardly hear each other

Good welcoming as you enter the Restaurant, it is a Turkish themed diner and has lots of seating.
Service was quick and the staff were very helpful and friendly. After placing our drinks and food order, you are given a snack of Pink Turkish Delight to enjoy while they bring your drinks to the table.
There is a short wait till you receive your meal, we ordered the Special of the day - a 750g Rack of Spare Ribs - and it has a serving of chips with it and a small salad.
The meal was great and total value for money. Descent chunky ribs with great warm chips that were crispy, total winner.
Very highly recommend to all current and future customers, we will definitely be back in the future. Come support the restaurants during these tough times.

What a lovely experience. Kafe Serefe has recently been refurbished, and what a pleasant surprise - it is now open, light and spacious! The food (we had sirloin steak, salad and chips) was done to perfection and the service was also excellent.

We had a super evening as a party of 8. No complaints at all. Recent renovations have lightened the interior and the bathrooms are much improved. Highly recommend.

Was impressed, so i went back a couple of days later.

Lovely service, absolutely delicious food and drink (their irish coffee is outstanding) and a real dedication to making the experience pleasant and authentic.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner with the family. The restuarant gives a different experience, and the food is memorable. A must go. I missed their famous spare ribs which they only serve on Thursdays, but I will be back to try it out.
