Absolutely amazing food. Steaks cooked to perfection. Vegetables were great too. Atmosphere is intimate classic and welcoming and helped us on a very short notice. A must if you are in George!
This is a regular for my family in all our annual visits to the garden route and it has never been a disappointment to us! Everyone is guaranteed an enjoyable, hearty and delicious meal and leave with a happy, satisfied smile. Reasonable prices and generous portions, this is a restaurant you have to visit when in George. Janet's ice creams are to die for, a definite dessert to have to end off your meal.
Very accommodating in special needs. Really had a great time. Good food and very friendly staff. Will visit again!

We wete there at the recommendation of a local. Absolutely loved it. Steaks perfectly cooked. Atmosphere old school, but not tacky. Wine not overpriced. All in all a highly enjoyable evening.

The Old Townhouse is,in my opinion, the best restaurant in George. You get top class food delivered by top class waitrons. The vegetables are delicious and the steaks are too. Done get me started on the deserts. Ice cream made on the premises in flavours like peanut brittle, stwarberry pavlova, lemon meringue, liquorice, lemon and honey and many more. Do yourself a flavour and come and be delighted.
The Old Townhouse has been around for so many years, if I think of George, I immediately think of this restaurant I lived in George for 7 years and the restaurant was there already before I was, and is still there now, 20 years later.
Steaks are excellent, I go there for a good steak. Old skool style restaurant with an intimate setting. A little pricey in the end.
