Review The Hoek Espresso Bar - Franschhoek

What’s better than walking in the rain? Warming up with hot Cortado, and then doing it all again. They also sell other coffee making paraphernalia and an assortment of delicious baked treats.

Great coffee and very friendly staff . Uncomfortable chairs but nice pitstop for coffee on the go . Big meeting hub for fitness fanatics but nor recommend for relaxing and reading a book. Umbrellas is a big help dough

Quick pop-in before heading home. Very small lovely coffee spot. Good affogato and ice coffee (personal opinion - needs one more shot of espresso) 😉 Great spot away from the hustle and bustle.

Nice koffie of all sorts as mid-point during our cycling from Paarl to Franschoek 😃🤠

Favourite hidden gem in Franschhoek. Amazing coffee and nice tea selection. Perfect for a quick coffee to start the day as sit down or take away. Popular with locals and we always end up meeting fascinating people here if you sit down at the communal table to read the newspaper. They don't serve breakfast but they do sell a selection of divine biscuits and rusks to enjoy with your beverage (perfect as a weekend cheat/treat).

Great coffee and homemade biscuit snacks. Seating is geat when the sun is out, not so good if it's raining as it's outside.

Small little cafe just off the Main Street - amazing coffee and lovely homemade rusks. They have a few indoor seats, and some undercover seating outside. They also offer cold drinks and some light foods too.

One of the best flat whites in SA plus a great friendly spot. Come and see the barrister, Darlington, take on locals at chess between brewing great coffee.

If you want an amazing coffee AND a confident boost, do not miss this place! The wonderful lady behind the desk will make your day, and a great tasting coffee too (especially the cappucino with oat milk). We went here everyday :-)

Do yourself a favor in Franschhoek and walk a few steps off the main street for your coffee here. Also has some tasty cookies.

The best coffee I’ve encountered in South Africa. Ambience is rustic, authentic. Very friendly and prompt service. Just off the main drag but well worth the detour. Loved the courtyard at the back.

The Hoek Expresso Bar was the finishing off of a lovely winters day in Franschoek. Situated a little off the main road on your way to Holden Manz wine farm. Easy to be missed. Service was not so great, the board with all their coffees noted that it costs R2 extra of you order take away! Already clients are few and then having them pay extra for take away is sure not great for creating more business. The coffee was okay I ordered the Flat white and forgot to mention just one shot so it was a little strong for my liking. My boyfriend drank the Cortardo which he seemed to enjoy. Sadly for them not very busy and not a great vibe.

Small off the street coffee and espresso bar. Looking for a really well made sit down or take away coffee? This is the spot for you. There are a few sweet treats and tea too.

Roamed the ENTIRE Franschhoek to find a decent cup of coffee. Found it! Deluxe coffee at its best ... Chatty service, with a smile. (excellent barista). HAVE to try the cookies and their flat white ... Soooo awesome! Comfy little coffee shop, with relaxing seating outside. Have to visit! :)
