Very friendly staff, the food was delicious and the fresh juices were great!

The food options are great even for vegans and vegetarians which is a much relief. The coffee was decent not so great, the Lilly cups could be avoided. The food was delicious and well cooked. The outdoor seating was great.

Franschhoek trout mains was excellent. Friendly prompt service. Good coffee. Eggs Benedict reportedly great too. Great retreat on a welcome rainy day.

Very helpful. I couldn't find macarons anywhere in franschhoek, and when I went in to ask, the lady working there said no problem, and organized me a few from the kitchen. Very helpful and friendly.. macarons are delicious!!

Quality fresh juices and treats. Cappucino was correct temperature, not scalding hot. Staff nice. Worth a visit if you are in town.

Choose to eat inside or under the shade of the oaks that line the main street through Franschhoek. Lovely non pretentious food and a fantastic selection of baked goods.

Interesting food, good portion sizes, but it's hard to relax when the road outside is so noisy

The best place to go for breakfast or tea in the town of Franschhoek. Food is freshly made and not mass produced as so many other establishments in Franschhoek succumbed to

Worse afternoon tea in CT, scone was nothing more than a cheap muffin (microwaved) tin cream & bitter tasting tea...find another place to have tea in Franshhoek....

Ugh, what a quaint little shop. We sat there for a good bunch of minutes rying to decide. The menu just had so many delicious sounding dishes, that we were having a hard time choosing. But i ended up with a delicious bacon and brie tart, my friend with a spinach and feta pancake. It was scrumptious. I will definitely go back!

Drinks are good and cuppachino's are huge. Was a little disappointed when my bacon and mushroom quiche turned out to be a dry pie base filled with bacon and mushroom sauce. My husband was also sick all night after having the chicken pie.

Had a fabulous breakfast at The Village Tart on a chilly rainy morning - absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Cakes hard to resist. Cosy, gorgeous decor, highly recommended.

After spending the day perusing, eating and drinking through Franschhoek village, we decided to have dessert here. After speaking to the pâtissier, I decided to order a slice of the chocolate ganache cake (although both the red velvet and carrot cakes looked equally enticing).

The chocolate cake was beautiful. Moist, dense chocolate cake with a gorgeous ganache topping.

Would recommend this cute cafe as a dessert stop when in Franschhoek.

At 1st glance, it's a very cute little pastry Shop on the corner of the main road in Franschoek...

The homemade pie my partner had was wholesome and quite tasty.

I opted for the Butter chicken, which in my opinion, was presented quite well... Only problems were,
1. It was bland
2. It had an extra ingredient... Plastic!!!!

Offcoz, i couldn't enjoy my lunch after having found a piece of plastic in my dish, but I will add, they did not make me pay for it (not that I would have) and were very apologetic.

Would I back back? Probably not...

Amazing carrot cake. Terrible coffee. Service is also non existent - and the scary part is that we were the only table. Also no ambience / no music. Pity as the place has potential.

A delightful and colorful spot for breakfast on Franschhoek's busy main road. We decided to have brekkie here on a Sunday - same day the bikers pull into town. If you don't mind a bit of Harley throttle then it's fun to watch from here. I had a health juice which cured my hangover and a delicious stack of French toast with berries. We all enjoyed our meals. Very pleasant experience but the menu was understated. They could definitely get more creative.

Waited half an hour and issued multiple requests for drinks before getting them. Other people who arrived after us received theirs (similar drinks) before us as well.

We left after waiting 50 minutes without receiving food. Waiters were spending half their time going to the supermarket to buy ingredients because management clearly doesn't have a clue.

As we were leaving, we managed to find the manager who gave us the most insincere apology which was actually even more annoying than the awful service. There are plenty of other places on the main street so don't bother with this one.

We decided to have our dessert for the day here. The cappuchinno was average. The bean they use is a bit bitter. The carrot cake was good but a bit dry.
Returned today for carrot cake. It was not dry.
Kelly Stockenstroom
Very disappointed. They couldn't make any of their chicken dishes. Only had one type of bread available and they were unable to make milkshakes. Took long to bring drinks. Waited a while for our food. Waiter forgot one meal on our order and in the end we all had to share our food with that person. Really not impressed. Won't be back.

Beautiful new coffee and cake venue. Cakes are freshly baked on site by the owner. Coffee needs work. There's an outside area if you're looking for a place to enjoy a coffee on the street.

Excellent location, great for a morning brunch on the patio. Only the freshest ingredients are used. Be sure to spoil yourself with one of the decadent freshly baked pastries, tarts or cakes with fresh mint tea.
