Overall a 10 out of 10 experience, my waiter Atwell and his manager was very attentive... Atwell's recommendation of the beef capacious was on point. His service was par excellence !!! Keep up the good work Atwell.. you made my last night in Franschhoek absolutely memorable 💖

Friendly staff with a warm atmosphere. Popped in for a nibble as we were exploring the area and went with a meaty seafood pizza that was very delicious.

I enjoyed the food so much. The waiter Atwell was extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend. The OMS was my favorite pizza😍

We had a good time at Col'Cacchio - Franschhoek. Great services and nice people, especially our waiter MDU. He did take good care of us. I will not forget the manager, Armando. Definitively we will come back.

One of our favourite restaurants, the food is amazing as always, great location, excellent Italian food. Good for kids with a playing area, love the area outside under the trees. I can highly recommend! We received excellent service from our waitress Sinazo!

Delicious salad (brioso) and lovely pizzas. My son loved his bacon and banana pizza. JD was our server and he was great - friendly and helpful.

Always a pleasurable dining at Col’Cacchio, our waiter Sakhele was amazing. He made sure we were enjoying our dinner, checked on us regularly with a contagious smile on his face! Loved every minute of it.

Very good service, even on a busy day. I am not a great fan of a pizza, however this restaurant never disappoint. Good crust and fresh ingredients. My suggestion to the caprese salad , is to add a little more mozzarella and definitely more basil. We don’t mind paying a little more.

We had a lovely dinner and with very nice food and a lovely waitress named Phumeza that served us. And not only the good service she gave us she also have a very nice voice, so you should ask her to sing a song! Best regards, Aline

A disappointing and excusable single layer takeaway Banting lasagne for R100.00. Don’t think it weighed 100gr. Phoned them to ask them if they made a mistake only to be told that its company recipe they follow. I won’t be back...to any of there branches.

Last night in Franschhoek, and the theme is no more meat. Meat is murder, and sadly, I've discovered that I do actually have a physical limit on how much meat I can consume. Pizza is the answer, and Col'cacchio's Green Genie is our pie. A crispy thin crust is a planter of all things green. The avocado is creamy, beets are firmly sweet, and butternut is softer. Arugula finishes with a bitter tinge of spice, uplifting against a down-to-earth mix of so many seeds. Balsamic glaze brings it all together for a pizza that has a lot going on and has a lot going for it.

Came to town for a bite, and couldn't decide where to go to, so we "settled" for Col'Cacchio. But to our surprise we did not SETTLE for this place. It is good enough as a fist choice. To the next bunch... don't settled come here and enjoy what is to offer!!!

*IT'S A 'YES' FROM ME*
Good outdoor seating on benches under the trees, which slightly resembles a beer garden. The food was really good. My mom had the Banting Zucchetti Verde Rosso and I had my first try at the Banting Lasagna. Overall the staff seemed engaged and attentive.
*Note: The prices on the menu here are outdated.

Mike Hathorn and I ordered our first vegan pizzas from Col' Cacchio in Franschhoek on the weekend. I added mushrooms, olives, onion and garlic, and Mike chose red pepper, avo, garlic and olives for his. We were both really impressed with the vegan cheese, and enjoyed our pizzas thoroughly. I'd highly recommend giving them a try.

Mike's dad ordered an interesting combination of toppings (on a regular pizza): pineapple, egg, chili, onion and olives. When his pizza arrived he exclaimed that he'd forgotten to ask for banana as well, so he promptly put some of that on too...and then some avo...and some garlic... Needless to say the rest of us were highly amused, but he really enjoyed his pizza too, which is what matters. So thank you Col' Cacchio, for accommodating all our strange and complicated requests, and for getting them right! We'll be back.

Overall when i go to a "Italian" restaurant I'm always interested in seeing the chefs rendition of a good Italian inspired pizza. My meal (Carne pizza) was average, too many toppings and worst of all still raw in the center and lack of crispness on the crust.

• Time Visited: Wednesday Lunch

• Specialties: Pizza/Pasta

• Presentation: Average

• Taste: Nothing special

• Spice: Optional

• Service: OK service

• Atmosphere: Nice outside atmosphere under the beautiful acorn trees.

• Cost: 6/10

Nice setting under the trees and lights with great crispy base pizzas, they have live music some of the evenings. Good for something just chilled 🍕

I've been to a few Col'Cacchios in my time and really there isn't anything that really makes one stand out from the other.

I mean it's the same pizza menu, same ingredients and same method of cooking. It's a guaranteed service. Nothing really for me stands out here except that seating is outside under the trees and if it's raining you're inside.

I'm not going to rave about this place. I mean if you are in Franschhoek you probably already at a wine farm sipping on a glass of this regions finest with a platter in front of you. The service is good as to match the food. It's good. It's not jaw dropping amazing but it's good.

Now if you excuse me, going to fetch my pizza.
*Disclaimer: Any offense taken in the reading of this review is of yours and yours alone. I'm not sure what Col' Cacchio have done to their pizza base - it's wafer thin and tasteless. Tasted like I was eating melted cheese on a giant plain, unsalted cracker. Otherwise the atmosphere is pleasant and the service quick and efficient.

After a long day wine tasting with friends Col'cacchios was our last stop in Fransehoek. Really enjoyed the food and their service was really great!

This evening my partner and I visited Col'Cacchio Franschhoek and had a lovely evening. Their wine menu is good, we had a bottle of Guardian Peak Merlot which was lovely. I would definitely recommend The Mohgal pizza and the Asian pulled pork pizza half and half. A great combination of flavours on a delicious thin crust base. They even do a few pizzas on Banting bases, a plus for those banters out there. The staff made us feel really welcome and Corne went beyond the call of duty to ensure that we had a great experience. Will certainly be back for more delicious pizza :)

Have to disagree with the rest of the reviews - i enjoyed my visit to this franchise.

Great weather - no wind and perfect outside setting.

Had the gnocchi with beef short rib. It was like a home cooked meal. You could taste the meat was actually slow cooked 😋

Service was friendly and prompt.

Would visit tomorrow again if I could

The food was good (I had the Banting margarita with avo and mushroom), however, I had to wait quite a while and the staff weren't too pleasant. They also didn't seem knowledgeable on the menu. The setting is lovely, if you sit outside, as you are ensconced by beautiful trees, providing much needed shade during the summer months.

Unfortunately this is not the first time we have had terrible service but it will be the last time , the managers strut around outside but fail to tell you that your orders will be at least an hour ! Further to this we all ordered salads which took an hour and 10 mins to deliver , after my first mouthful , and a bit of lettuce shifting I was horrified to find a dead roach lying legs up at the bottom of my salad around 4 cm long , manager said sorry and disappeared , out waitress was never even told !

Ordered a morituri take away instead of peppers we got plain untasty sun dried tomatoes.no bacon as well.Only discovered this when i got to Capetown otherwise could have taken it back.

We ordered takeaways....while there were swap out items charged for (totally not cool), the pizzas were okay, however, if you compare the same pizzas to other branches these guys need to up their game. This is Franschhoek after all, just saying!

Used to be a well run establishment - no more unfortunately. Staff are poorly trained and clueless. Agreeing to swap rosa tomatoes for sundried tomatoes on a pizza (like for like) and then charging an extra R20 for the privilege is disgraceful and deceitful. The same thing happened with herb facaccio - we were charged an extra R5 for the herbs and R18 for a side of feta!! Pizzas are still decent (but way overpriced for what you get) but no-one should have to put up with such behaviour. We won't be returning.

Update 09.17: much improved experience. Excellent pizzas. Fresh ingredients. Expensive but well worth the price.

Friendly, efficient service. Not being one that enjoys franchise restaurant I absolutely love their salads and this was no exception. What did stand out however was that the molto salad claims to be banting friendly yet cashew nuts are not strictly banting.

I always find myself here when in Franschoek and I'm disappointed every time. The service is great but food just not worth it. I ordered 2 pizzas yesterday as a takeaway. When I received it the boxes were so light, I thought it was empty. The pizza that appealed to me was Asian deboned pork rib with some other things. When we opened it, my husband asked if they gave us the wrong pizza. We looked at each other and asked where's the deboned rib. My 2 year old daughter asked if that was onion on the pizza because it looked like finely braised dark onion. Not worth the R105.

This was a great spot for lunch, outdoors among the trees, on the main franshoek strip. The menu was varied and interesting. Food was enjoyed all round. Service was a little disappointing.
