Review Cafe Des Arts - Franschhoek

This is a lovely quiet place located on the main street but the good thing is that the restaurant is further down in a patio. Staff is friendly, the place is well decorated with some art and sculpture. We had typical South africain food with springbok carpaccio as a starter and then ostrich steak and bobottie. The plate were well presented, meat was very well cooked and there were à nice portion. We got good advices from the waitresss for our wines. Price a very reasonable and i will say it is a good value for money.

Eggs were super creamy, bacon was nice and crispy. Service was impeccable and friendly. Tucked away off the busy main road, a hidden gem of note

Quaint, comfy, and tranquil. My deconstructed Greek salad was tasty and the service was prompt and pleasant. Imagine sitting outside at a small table and the temperature is perfect hovering just above 70.  There is some light jazz playing inside and frogs gently croaking in the creek nearby. You don't hear any traffic because you walked along a 100' lighted path adorned with bespoke art every few steps. That's Cafe des Artes.

Had a very nice lunch here, very attentive service. The good thing about the place is that it's tucked away from the busy and noisy main street in a beautiful shady garden setting. There are some magnificent pieces of art on display, too.

temporary closed 😓 ...before it was a beautiful quiet shaded courtyard, very good coffee (!) and desserts (we didn‘t try any mains)

The best pasta I have ever had, the service was outstanding and the venue is gorgeous. Definitely recommend this for a quiet, delicious lunch.

Great spot for kids in a quiet back area of the Main Street in Franschhoek. Good playground.

Excellent food and service. A little offset from the main road so a bit quieter than other places.

Lovely atmosphere in a hidden gem of a garden. Good for kids and families as well far enough from the hustle-bustle of the main street. Attentive service and great food. It's a bit on the pricey side but good value for money especially in Franschhoek. Playground for kids also available.
