Went out for a chilled even dinner and RocoMamas didn’t disappoint. Had a double stack bacon and cheese burger which was amazing. That rocomayo is definitely the one by the way🔥😍
A great stop for a casual night out. our waiter recommended the cheese bombs to start with and the were genuinely delicious. I was particularly impressed with the blueberry milkshake. The peanut butter milkshake is also a solid favourite. The burger was well made. I had the bacon cheese guacamole burger with chips and it was delightful. The table next to us was playing a game with Rocomma’s Jenga set. Made us smile!
Simply the nicest chips I have found in this area - and great hamburgers as well! Very popular with both young and old, but very noisy as a result. Request a table outside in the warmer months, or takeaway when it’s cold - you won’t hear much of any conversation if you sit inside!
Consistently Good service backed with friendly waiters. Good food and value for money. Love the newness on the menu as its not always the same. The chili balles were out of this world as well as the fully loaded fries

Conveniently located. The food is consistent with that of the other outlets in the franchise. Tried to wings and blue cheese sauce whuch were good. The smash burgers and fries were also good. Disappointed by the spare ribs. Though the basting sauce was nice and not too sweet, the actual rib meat was pale in colour and fairly tasteless. As though the ribs had been steamed or boiled before hand. Service was fair.

But this review is about the chilli cheese bomb , Not only did I try it on the promo boards as rocomamas started but when it became a menu item it was a dream come true . Not being a fan of beef burgers I must say that this burger is by far the best and most well constructed burger I have ever had , from the amazing different flavours to the textures of this master piece . Fresh chillies: winner Rocco mayo: winner Bacon: winner and that cheese bomb in the center just makes it that much better ...Long story long haha its the best burger I have ever eaten. just a warning some times they are a little heavy handed with the fresh chillies . Might be a bit much for some that don't enjoy hot food

Definitely a great budget meal option. Burgers are good but not mind blowing, I don't like the fact that they don't have a burger and rib combos. Service is good. The vibe in the Pineslopes centre is also cool, very busy with young people walking around to all the different venues around there.
Fun way to choose burgers I always build my own. I’ve tried both the chicken and the beef. I’m a simple burger kind of person so I add jalapeños and sauce and the lettuce equivalent. Chips are nice I enjoyed them. Gourmet milkshakes are pretty good but definitely for those with a sweet tooth. Would highly recommend.
Went there on a Friday night. Place was buzzing and full to the max. Excellent service from the moment I got in till I left. Food was cooked to perfection and came quite fast considering how busy the place was. Really great spot
We love the Rocomama’s at Pineslopes and we go about once a week to get take always. We love the burgers and always receive great service however, last night I ordered the Classico nachos. When we got home we were shocked to see how small the portion was (especially given the portions of the burgers and chips) as well as being completely unseasoned and underwhelming. There were literally just nachos with dry cold cheese on top in a big almost empty takeaway box. This was what we would consider an appetizer portion and not even prepared properly. I’m very disappointed with this meal and was surprised given all out other great meals we’ve had from Rocomamas.
Well I am not even sure why there is an option to review any Rocomamas - it should only allow for a 5.0 rating and a food order option. Just being on this page makes me want to order another burger!

Great burgers. Great chips. OK service. It's an easy option for when we just want to grab an easy and relatively cheap dinner close to home. The chips portions are quite large, so we usually share.
The food is always amazing. My go-to order is the chilli cheese bomb, with a side of fries and a peanut butter milkshake. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is great for families and young crowds.

Love the burgers usually, I had The Slacker but my patties were dry, over cooked and hard to eat. With little to no cheese on it as well as the mayo - it was okay. The other burger “Nacho” was good and cooked well, just maybe needed a little more salt, would’ve loved all the patties to be cooked well though. A bit disappointing. Never experienced this at other outlets.
Went out for burgers and milkshakes with my wife and some friends on a Friday night. Had to wait for a table which is fine, but there isn't really anywhere to stand and wait. We had to cram together in a corner.
Food orders were taken quickly and delivered quickly too. The burger was good, but I found some of the toppings were quite cold compared to the rest.
Finished off with some milkshakes. Great variety of unusual flavours. I tried to cherry cola, which was tasty and very thick.
Definitely our new favourite Rocomamas. Would give a higher rating however on the last of 3 times, there was a mess up on our order, we got extra drinks, then one of our guests had to wait for their meal, whilst ours got cold and my partner got an incorrect order and was starving, then we got more stuff which we didn't order. And the waitor looked so stressed so we took it anyway (also to curb said partners hunger), we got an apology about new waitors first day, but it was not a rockstar experience, being Rocomamas "regulars" per sè.

Already a fan of Rocomamas, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Fourways, Pineslopes branch. Fast, friendly service and our waiter was attentive and perfect. Management was on hand and checked in with us often. Lovely vibe and atmosphere and the food was divine as usual!

The place always seems busy so tonight I went in. Inside its buzzing, upfront are your bar and open kitchen with the grill stations full steam, we sat in this take away area before securing a table. Simple non fussy decor, wooden benches and tables, some basic steel chair and hints of signature orange. In warmer weather the restaurant will open up completely as it all tented and glassed doored now.
We opted for the non burger things, ribs (peri peri), chicken wings also peri, coleslaw with bacon and loaded fries with chilli and cheese sauce. The ribs the highlight, tender, sticky and hot! Probably one of the best ribs I've had in a while. Luckily the slaw was there to cool it down. Wings were good and I loved that it had crispy skins even though they were basted, there was a mofo option which was hotter but glad we took just the peri peri. These guys should share their chilli with the mexican place a door away. I also tried the peanutology freak shake which if you love peanut you have to try, such decadence.
The place was busy, service was excellent and efficient with total control of both in house and take away orders. Next trip burgers and waffles.

This is defn one of our fav burger places. The service is great, however it does get very busy so expect a bit of a wait for getting a table during busy times.
Excellent food and very lovely staff! I was craving a burger and I knew this was the place I had to be. Definitely was! Burger bun was fresh and so were the toppings, it was a delicious meal. The cookies and "scream" waffle was the perfect size, not too sweet and not overdone. A good dessert choice. Would definitely recommend visiting if you're a burger fan and want to get a little creative with your taste. Not overly priced so no need to spend too much cash dollar 💵 either.

Service was excellent. Burger was a little tasteless. Shoestring fries were okay. They don't serve any complimentary sauces other than ketchup, I'm guessing this is a money-making scheme. Overall, okay food for the price. I'll go back to try their ribs.
Yummy chips and even better burgers! Manager and staff are friendly and make the clients feel like they are part of the family. Nice setting allows you to enjoy the bustling surrounds of all the other busy venues in the area.
Went through to Rocomamas in Fourways, and being intrigued y the wings from one of the other branches I didn't hesitate to order 4 buffalo and 4 Mofo wings both with the blue cheese dressing. The wings were fantastic as I expected with the Mofo being the obvious winner between the two. Mofo wings are smothered in chopped chili and ginger combination.
I thought advising the chef that my egg was slightly harder than requested would be appreciated info. Well you'd swear I'd complained bitterly about an inedible meal. First the manager accepted complete responsibility for this (to my mind, minor) issue. Insisted on providing two free tea's and then to cap it, no charge for my burger. It is this complete customer focus, that makes this place and it's food great. Been here many times and yo-yo back every time I need a great burger.

I decided to make my own monster burger with cheese fries which was really nice and freshly prepared.
This is always a good branch to go to as I have been disappointed by a few others with brown guacamole or missing ingredients etc.. but Fourways is definitely one of the good ones.
Haven't been to a Rocomamas in a while. Had lunch at the Fourways branch 2 weekends ago. Glad to see they now serve chicken fillet burgers and not the smash burgers. I had the chicken fillet burger with caramelised onions and mushrooms and we shared a medium portion of chips. The burger was very good and fillet was cooked well. The portion of chips was awesome and more than enough for 3 people. Our waiter was efficient and service was quick. My husband's fomo and buffalo wings looked mouth wateringly delicious but sadly I could not taste them since the doctor said I can't eat spicy food for a month.
Great concept with good quality burgers . One of the best vegetarian burgers in town. Variety of combos makes for an interesting meal every time. Good friendly service with very helpful staff and waiters.
If you love burgers this is the place to go. Friendly staff and consistently good burgers. The buffalo wings are to die for. Perfect combination with the craft beers they have on offer.

Speedy service and lovely burgers. But the winner for me is their chicken wings! Yum! I did find that the amount of caramelized onions on the burger was overpowering, the next time I went I opted for the cheese smash burger. It hit the spot! Chip portions are big, and yum! I'm sure by now we have all been to Rocomammas somewhere in and around Joburg. When I had a visitor from Cape Town say they had never heard of it we went to give the rib-burger-wing-spot a bash. I had big dreams of one of the famed loaded milkshakes. Spoiler alert. She doesn't get one in the end! Story of my life.
We had a spread of smash burgers, loaded fries, regular fries, ribs, wings- literally oinked our way through the options. I noticed the menu had changed because there used to be a sweet and hot flavour I loved, which no longer exists. Anyway, you MUST have the wings with the blue cheese sauce. Go easy of the chips, they are quite heavy handed. Loaded fries? Meh! I'll pass. And if you have any hope or dream of having a sinful milkshake, I don't have the answers for you. I'm always too full to have after a meal and too hungry to risk it before a meal. I'm stressed out just thinking about it now. But yes, it's a lovely eatery, not fussy- eat and be on your way. Ps- the milkshake pictured is not at all what I refer to when I speak of their loaded shakes (these are the standard shake next door). Think Craftesque jug overflowing with lactose and diabetes. Those bad boys are still on my bucket list. Yum.
My favourite burger joint. Finished 2016 off with cheese fries and a bacon + cheese burger for lunch. Satisfied the craving. If you haven't tried the cheese fries, you have to next time! Second time I've had them and I'm almost tempted to just order a large and skip the burger... almost ;)
I noticed there didn't seem to be the mist spray outside this time though, would have been useful in this hot weather we've been having. Wonder if that's because of water restrictions?
I've had better burgers but their burgers are generally good. For me the winner is their milkshakes. Every single one I have had so far has been absolutely delicious. It is an amazing place to be with friends and close family. It has a hipster feel to the entire place. I highly recommend it.
Some of the best burgers I've had in a while. Mouth watering and inventive. We had their specials el Grande and le bomb. Just wow. I've been very disappointed by burger lately and rocomamas has it down. That and the friendly and speedy service from our waiter Paul made this a great lunchtime visit.
I love this Franchise. Went to the fourways branch for the first time and had a bad experience with a waiter. The owner took complete charge of the situation, apologised and waved my bill. She took time to find out what needed to change to make my experience better in future. Her passion and demand for excellence was so real. Thank you brilliant owner.

Went for a takeaway and got home with half the order, called in and the owner answered the call. She offered to deliver it personally but I declined. Went back into the store to collect the rest of the order. Was refunded in full as well. What a great way to handle a minor mishap. Food was great as well! Will definitely be back.

I was pleasantly surprise when my Classic Cheese with shoe string fries arrived. Delicious from the first bite. I downsized my burger to a manageable 100g.
The restaurant was quite packed but out waitress was very attentive. We received quick service and would be quite happy to eat here again

Roccomamas is such a great brand. The burgers are delicious and really creative. It's a vibey and energetic spit for a take away or a great fast lunch or dinner. Smash burgers are the new in...and roccomamas were the first to create this genius concept. Even the veggie burger is yummy. @roccomammas
Excellent burger and very good specials; New Yorker and Wild Deer. The specials can run for over a month which means they getting a good response. Love the wings too especially old school barbecue and peri peri. A meal for two at R230 average not cheap but also not too pricey. The service needs a touch up though honestly got a little disappointed don't go there expecting five start treatment especially from some of the female waitresses, slight touch up needed. Quality comes at a cost
The first time I heard about Rocomammas was from a friend who called it 'delightful'...I understand what she meant. All of them are the same consistent experience and their burgers always hit the spot. This one is no exception...I had my favourite...the chilli cheese bomb with fries...luv'd it. Also had a lime milkshake and some white wine...all were good.
Guilty pleasure burger place in the neighborhood. Chilli Cheese Bomb burgers, milkshakes and Fries all hit the spot you're looking for from a burger joint. Pity they don't have the saffron chili sauce anymore though. Deserts could do with an upgrade...Sundaes for summer perhaps?

After a weekend of celebrating Rocomamas (Pineslopes) was a very welcome spot for lunch, drinks and reminiscing with friends about the weekend's activities!
The service was lacking a little as we kept having to call for the waitress to give us some service. BUT it must be noted that they were packed and probably added to the problems of the wait-staff.
I like that i can build my own burger or choose from one of their great combinations. Everyone made their choices and were very pleased when they arrived. I opted for chicken - rather than beef like everyone else - and was disappointed as the chicken was quite dry. Not even the sauces and guacamole could quench that "thirsty chicken". I did however have a taste of my mates burgers and it was delicious. Well prepared and flavourful + the presentation of it all really inspires you to dig in!
Vegetarians take note: One of the friends (who is a vegetarian - we don't judge him :-) ) made the note that Rocomamas has the best veggie burger in town.
All-in-all it was a good experience - bar the dry chicken :-).
On a side note - it's situated in a great centre if you are keen for a drink afterwards at another place or before a movie/show at Monte (across the road)

I have always loved rocomamas but there's something thats changing in the texture and consistency of the burger patty and bun. The both of them now sort of dissolve in your mouth when chewing. Please bring back the old bun and patty
This is my ultimate restaurant! Be it for take-away, sit down, i am hooked!! The bacon, cheese and guacamole burger blows my mind! the fries are perfection with that sweet and salty taste! The ribs are excellent, the milkshakes even more so! I love the simplicity of the menu and that Roco mayo just seals the deal! Worth the wait, worth the drive! Please stay forever! :)
Truly the juiciest burgers !!! Service is good with the manageress making sure that the waiters are attending to the patrons. My favorite is the chili cheese that's only if you can handle the bite. 👌🏻

The place was absolutely buzzing, was lucky enough to get a table in 5 minutes! The waitress was quick and always with a smile on her face, made the experience great! The wings, with buffalo sauce basting was really good, although the wings were slightly over cooked, the nachos were fantastic, will definitely be back to the fourways branch! Excellent service and great food!

As usual services on par! Food always good and those shoe lace fries are a killer, all I am saying is #yummy ! I can always say yes to Rocos being a vegeterian/pescetarian. I always have a alot choice of what to put on my bugar and I am never disappointed.
One of my fave veggie burgers and all the bonus points for being able to pick toppings. Tonight we both had the veggie burgers and totally different experiences. We opted for no bun because we always feel stuffed. To be honest chips were not necessary and I still feel overly full (due to all the toppings I chose haha). My usual includes guacamole, pickles, jalapeños and mushrooms. There was perhaps too much mayo but otherwise, as always, happy with the result.

I've been to Rocomamas many times now and I have never been disappointed. In fact, I am in love with their burgers and find them to be the best I have ever had. The fact that you can make your own burger with endless toppings for a very reasonable price is a big winner.
This is one of my boyfriends best restaurants to go to, and we have never had a bad meal here to date. The mushroom burger is delicious and the portions of chips are huge.

Constantly good food. Heard about bad service but I have never experienced it myself. Food delivery was quick and efficient. I must rate it the best burger franchise in jozi. Had good burgers, even better burgers at other restaurants but on a consistent bases they the best.
Popped in for a quick bite in the afternoon after hearing good things and seeing so many pop up all over the place. Vibe was cool and burger was good.. Not going to set the culinary world alight, and not the biggest burger either! But worth it for the atmosphere.. But there are definitely better burgers out there..
I absolutely love the fries at this place!!! The tiny crispy strings of potato and just awesome. Hubby had the beef burger with all the trimmings, it was well cooked and tastefully presented. I had the chicken burger with all the trimmings. Weird texture as I am so used to the solid chicken breast, this was more like finely shredded chicken crumbed and deep fried! Little on the dry side but tasty.

Best option for burgers because of the flexibility with toppings. Not the biggest burgers but the tastiest, if you can get your combinations right. Don't go for too many toppings or it will be difficult to hold together. Great service - super efficient and friendly. The wings are a must have, either on their own or on the side with a burger. Delicious milkshakes will keep you cool with all the chilli food options. Restaurant is usually quite full but the staff will get you a table very quickly.

Okay so I was told to try Rocomamas and yesterday between our double shows I did just that. It's got a very similar vibe to Andiccio 24 where you get to create your very own burger. So you start out with the base and then you get to add whatever you like. I had caramelized onions, rocket, avo, bacon & feta along with a small side of skinny fries. You need to experience it for yourself. It is mouth watering. I have always been a fan favorite of Beekfcakes burgers and also Hudsons back in Cape Town but these burgers can totally give them a run for their money. The staff are friendly and it's situated next to The Beer House inside the Pineslopes centre. Really worth a try. 🌟

Rocomamas never disappoints! This burger joint is truly unique in that you get to pick what topping goes on your burger, so you'll always end up with something you love. The sides are super delicious too and generous, I always pick the French fries and Greek salad. The Fourways branch is always busy, so make sure you get there early because you can't make a reservation!
I have never complained about their food once. They sell only the best and very fresh food. I’m a choosy person when it comes to food but not with this store particular. Their waiters are very friendly. I always get amazing service from Francis .

Went during the week to RocoMamas Fourways with a large group of friends. The waitresses were immediately accommodating and helped us to add another 2 tables so we could sit all together. Ordering food is quite entertaining and fun because you have to fill out on the menu-notebook what you want to eat. Most of us don't want to admit age and forgot the reading glasses at home. It was great fun trying to guess the small printed words and jokes were made which were extremely funny. The waitresses were sharp, helpful, very friendly and the whole evening I experienced a pleasant atmosphere. Food was delicious and tasty. Great value for money. A tip for restaurants, keep spare reading glasses for your customers to use or handout small magnifying glasses. This will add to the fun of understanding of people struggling to read the menu. Overall superb experience. Also lots of parking available, security were visible. Great evening out in sunny wild Africa.

The burgers here are amazing! You can even create your own so you can have exactly what you want. The fires are also fantastic and well seasoned. Prices are also very good value for the quality of the food.
The staff are friendly and professional. Covid measures are also taken seriously. Having a bottle of hand sanatiser at each table is a nice touch.

Needless to say, it's a vibe. The drinks are cold, the buns are fresh and the service is on point. It gets full so make sure you get there early on weekends.
