Our waiter was on the ball and never missed a step, he was very helpful we never tried the food just stopped by for a few drinks and there are plenty drink specials to choose from will be going back soon to try the food.Went back to try the food and I was not disappointed the portions are massive and the taste is out of this world

A great place for meeting friends etc. Only improvement is the place is looking rather dated.

The vibe at this place is 100%, I was there for a catch up drink with a friend, so I can't comment on the food.

This Brazen Head in Edenvale is a LOT better than the one in Fourways. The staff were friendly and helpful as opposed to Fourways where even when the place is dead quiet you struggle to get a waiter's attention. The food was fresh, though the steak I ordered was slightly tough. Aside from that it was a pleasant time and will keep going back. PS: On Sundays they have a nice buffet option at R125 per person. Different meats, salads and vegetables to choose from with ice-cream and fruit salad for dessert.

Great place, great food and great service. The only thing I dislike is that the majority of tables are smoke friendly.

What a great host for St Patricks day. The Brazen head team clearly had everything worked out. From the food to the drinks, what an awesome experience. Hats off to the waiters and managers. Simon and Smart Thanks for making our St Patricks day.

Live music, Great Homemade Pies - the best, and super atmosphere!!

Love this Brazen Head. One time ; got served a Heineken instead of a Windhoek but the food and service ever since has redeemed them.

The team is one to hire for presidentials

Always friendly staff with a great Brunch menu, which is reasonably priced. A nice touch that the manager always comes to ask how things are. I like the choice of outdoor seating, covered veranda seating or indoor seating for all weather occurrences. The Brunch was served as requested with the service staff making sure all choices of hard eggs, soft bacon and a mix of brown or white bread toast was accommodated. Good work all round.

Always great atmosphere. Loved the St Patrick's bash well done to the manager's and staff. All the waitrons are always so friendly and hard working. Good food and beer. Had a bit of a problem with our food for the first time ever but it was replaced quickly and handled very well so no problem at all !

Wine selection is poor, so we bring our wine with and usual corkage fee of R 50.00 is o.k. Yesterday we were charge by manager Mike R 100.00 and he insisted that we pay for corkage in cash Let's don't even talk about service

I was terribly disappointed, I was there a couple of weeks ago on a Friday afternoon and the service was good and Friendly. On Saturday evening I suggested to a friend that we go, well service was terrible, we ordered our meal and eventually after a long while, the waiter informed us he had made a big mistake and doubled our order and his boss was going to make him pay. Well we paid double and then was told a little later that they are closing early because brothers were asked to leave and they were fighting in the car park . Seriously are you for real?

Great food great atmosphere. Food is not out as fast as many other places, but we'll worth the wait.

Its my pub away from my pub. The food is great and the service is next to non.

It's my second home. Only joking. The owners are fantastic people with a people's approach to service and quality. I have seen this place change and transform over the last few years. Keep it up Dyllan

Great food, value for money and they always have specials on food and drinks. Great vibe on weekends for sporting events on TV as well as live entertainment.

The Brazen Head has been around for many years in the Edenvale area. The atmosphere is viby. There is sometimes limited parking due to events happening in the pub. Good food, good vibe and good service. Try it out if you in town.

The place for great Pub Grub in Edenglen/Edenhall area. Extensive menu with classics like Fish and Chips, Liver and Onions as well as an array of homemade pies.

We settled for the Leprechaun Steak and Brazen heads signature chicken breast which are finished off with a tasty bourbon sauce.

Friendly service, lively vibe. Definitely one to watch out for if you're in the area.

This place took 40 minutes to order the waiter forgot the order and after another 50 minutes we got nothing .
This place has the worst service known to man and should shut down. All the staff look dead and zombie like and despondent

Yes, I know. It's a pub. And I've just given it a "4". Hear me out, ok?

We've eaten at the Brazen Head a few times and have always been pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. On Wednesday we headed down for a leisurely family lunch. It was relatively quiet and the waiter turned down the volume of the speaker above us so we could easily converse.

Service was helpful and swift, both from a drinks perspective and a food perspective. Davina and I both ordered the "Pint of Prawns", not quite being sure about prawns in a pub, but hey.

What a pleasant surprise. 12 queen prawns arrived in a pint beer glass, cooked to absolute perfection, and smothered in garlic and a beer sauce. They were amazing! Great sizes, peeled out of the shells with no hassle and were downright delicious. The home-cut chips were fantastic too; some of the best chips we've had in a whole.

Our other family members had grilled fish and chips, which was succulent and juicy, also perfectly cooked, and the chicken salad.

Value for money for what it is? Absolutely.
Worth a visit for an unpretentious great meal? Yep!

Very attentive and good, but sometimes slow-ish service. We love the food and the atmosphere but it can be a little noisy on a Friday evening with karaoke and drinkers having fun if you wanted a quiet and romantic evening.
Delicious food with an Irish feel, and generally good value for money.

This place is terrible! They are far too short-staffed and could not deal with the amount of customers in the restaurant. This was on a Monday night by the way!

The serving sizes of the same dishes varied completely between the group of us at the table and our food all arrived at different times. We waited about an hour to our food!

There was no correspondence from the waiters with regards to waiting times and they got the order wrong on several occasions. It was a group of about 15 of us, but it's still no excuse.

I won't be coming back.

We had a pleasant experience here. I have to say that this was mostly due to the service and not the food. My flying fish special chicken burger was dry and quite tasteless. My partner's casle light beef burger special was well done and I did regret my choice after tasting his. They do however have good specials at all times which we will be returning for. I hope they get their chicken cooked better by then.

What a magnificent Sunday lunch had at this Irish haven! Suitable for all ages and the whole family as all 3 generations loved it! The "Legendary Irish Stew" was exactly as it sounds, especially when combined with the "Champ" as the chosen side-dish (I agree that the Irish specialties are the way to go). The meals were all so tasty and equally enjoyable - the "Chicken, Bacon and Whisky Casserole" as well as the "Beef and Guiness Pie" are highly recommendable. The ambiance was warm and alive with live-music performed by an Irish singer who gave it that extra Irish touch. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully and the many people both inside and outside gave it that 'proper' pub feel. We had the most friendly and efficient waitress (Leah), who even thanked us for her tip which is very rare today! The music was a little loud at first but was soon adjusted, and the Irish Coffee could have done with a little more cream, but other than that, it was the most enjoyable dining experience and will definitely remain as a family favourite! Don't miss out on a lovely meal and an altogether fantastic experience!

Was not impressed at all with The Brazen Head. It lacked the true feel of the traditional pub grub and as such won't be going back! Was hoping for so much more.

We have been here a few times, mainly because of the location and the draught beer. It is also quite quiet inside - often quite busy with smokers etc outside. The food is variable. This time I made the mistake of ordering their Trio of Calamari, which was not so good - very salty and the portions were quite meagre - and the chips were undercooked. My husband's steak was okay, but average rather than good. From past experience I would say always go for their Irish dishes - pies, colcannon, boxties. For steak or seafood there are much better places to try.

The Brazen Head has been on my "food bucket list" for a while now and I finally got to check them out.I think what sets this Pub & Grill apart from the rest is the setting. You can choose to sit in the restaurant part of the establishment, or you can sit on the outskirts of the restaurant, or by a grassy section that has a tranquil little Lion Head waterfall (I sat at a table near the waterfall). I've seen The Brazen Head get totally packed near month end so I did not dare go during that time, I went on a weekday evening and the vibe was nice and calm. So, the setting really set the tone for me already. Our waiter was professional and polite and was at our every beck and call. I must say, the Cheesy Mushroom starter that we had was AMAZING, only downside was that our starter arrived with our main course. They also make a mean Steak and Kidney pie, value for money and are very generous with their filling, however, the crust was a wee bit too thick for my liking - maybe its just me?In conclusion, it was an enjoyably delicious experience and I'm keen to try the other offerings on their menu!

If you are looking for a quick bite you can join them at the Brazenhead. If you are looking for some Irish beer then this one of the better places to go to.

Vegetarian selection is okay and not that bad however there is a lot of starch to choose from.

The specials they have are however very good value for money

If you have a birthday party this is quite a good place to think of as they are quite well organised and they do assist quite a lot.

Give it a try!
