27.07.2019 We recently had lunch at Cafe Plus, a spot that has been going since about 2015. Simple, modern decor with seating inside and outside at the Green Valley Center.
The owner Andreas has been in the food industry for as long as we can remember and we've had the pleasure of eating at most of his eateries including this one. They have a limited menu with a variety of cakes on offer which catches your eye as you enter.
I decided on a Beef Burger with Cheese and Jalapeno. My mom had the Prego fillet Steak roll, and my sis had the Salmon breakfast called "The Poach"
Everything was delicious, tasty and full of flavour. The Chips were HUGE and perfectly fried and spiced. My homemade beef patty was amazing, and the relish with Jalapeno and Cheese was the perfect combination along with some Prego sauce. My sisters Salmon and Poached eggs were good too and a really great portion size. Mom loved her steak roll and couldn't help praising them for the good quality if food presented.

I love Cafe plus and have been regularly for a few years now. the food is simple but exactly what i'd expect from a coffee shop, never disappoints, Their coffee freezo's are delicious, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. But ZOMATO you need to update your photo's of the menu, prices go up slowly over the years and while I knew immediately the freezo price was wrong I also ordered a tramazini to collect and was short for cash when I arrived because your price was so wrong on here.
Great food and service in this beautiful cafe! Portions are large  and definitely great value for money. Daily cakes and desserts are to die for!
We had breakfast here for the first time last Saturday. Food and service was good. The cakes looked delicious. Will be back for coffee and cake.

Awesome food go often and Iâve had just about everything on the menu never disappointed. I recommend the haloumi sandwich itâs delicious and made from fresh made haloumi.
Food that had us come back because it was so good the first time - the second didn't let us down either! Great ambiance but the service is not the greatest.
Andreas the owner without fail has his regulars everyday having their newspaper ready and the most wonderful man. Looking for a delicious salad or a great breakfast this is the place. The coffee is my personal favorite as well as the Honey Mustard Chicken Salad!
I've just finished having breakfast at this little spot and I have to tell you how impressed I am. The quality of the food and the incredible taste was out of this world considering the price you pay.
I haven't had anything else from here yet but if you're looking for a great little breakfast spot, look no further! I will definitely be back sooner than later!
I am quite au fait with the area and decided to try this cafe as there are not many in the vicinity. The sandwiches are wholesome and a good portion size for a light lunch. The service overall is quite good and this cafe has a nice ambience. They have a good variety of cakes which I will try on my next visit. For a relaxed mealtime. I would recommend popping into Cafe plus for a tramezzini or salad - there is a good variety for vegetarians here.
Really intimate place with friendly service. Breakfast is really good and they not stingy with their for portions. Looks as good as it tastes. A Greek ambience.
They have the best carrot cake I have ever tasted!! We received prompt and friendly service and the cafe has a nice cozy vibe to it, we immediately felt at home when we stepped inside.
Had a lovely high quality breakfast here. The place is not priced too bad either. Only drawback was the service. Atleast the nice food compensated for that.

The breakfasts are delicious and they have the best mushrooms in town - hands down. The plus breakfast is a fav and everyone should try it. Highly recommended.

I don't know what it is about this place, but it just seems to get better. The mushrooms are still the best I have ever had, and today we added chips. They are especially delicious - being freshly cooked and perfectly golden.
Each time we come, there are more and more people, along with some regulars we are starting to recognise, and the service takes a minute or two longer with more people, but the quality is worth a little wait. I may even go so far as to say that each plate is cooked with so much care you can taste the love in each spoonful, but that may sound a little OTT.
A definite must for everyone who wants a delicious and reasonable breakfast. Lots of bang for your buck.
Had breakfast here this morning while waiting to collect my car from the car wash, the restaurant is small and the menu is limited for options, but other than that everything else was great.
I had the omelette and a had a hot chocolate and they were both good, the service was fast and the manager was attentive, will definitely be back.
The cakes are delicious with quite a variety including muffins and cupcakes. Always fresh and yummy. I recommend the chocolate cake, it's the best!! The red velvet is good too.

In a bland, rather character-less shopping centre amidst a bland, character-less bunch of housing developments, there is a brilliant sparkle of life and joy.  It's called Cafe Plus. This is not your everyday run-of-the-mill cafe--I mean sure, they have all the favorites--breakfasts, tramezinis, sandwiches, and suchlike, but they also have things on the menu that you won't find elsewhere, and there is a definite Cypriot twist.  Take for instance, the Cypriot breakfast--eggs, tomato, toast, halloumi, and lounza.  The halloumi is soft in flavor and pleasant--not the rubbery salty stuff that passes for halloumi in so many places.  Lounza is a delicate smoked pork with a somewhat olive tapenade flavor--a Cypriot specialty.  Elsewhere on the menu, Cafe Plus features a halloumi and lounza sandwich.  A number of other interesting items on offer--souvlaki, biftekia, and beautiful big cakes--have you ever heard of a waffle cake?  A baklava cheesecake?  Or how'd you like to try The Poach-- ciabatta slices with exquisitely grilled asparagus, lots of delicate smoked trout, and a memorable smoked mushroom sauce to go with it? Check these and other things out at Cafe Plus. Â
  Great service, very reasonable prices, buzzing atmosphere of happy diners, and management which is friendly and attentive.  The chairs are not quite as comfortable as I'd prefer, but the cage does have a wonderful, long and soft bench on one side of the restaurant with luscious soft cushions for people like me who are fussy about keeping our backsides comfy.
We love this restaurant. Whether it is to catch a quick breakfast or a celebratory piece of cake, this is the place to go. The restaurant is well supported by the locals and they literally have the best chocolate cake you could ever imagine.

What a wonderful little cafe and so close to home! The last time I was there I had one of their breakfasts which I thoroughly enjoyed and promised myself to come back and try something else on the menu. As you walk in, you almost decide to just start with dessert because they are displayed so beautifully. I excersized my self control and ordered their gourmet hot dog. Not bad! It came with sliced gherkins and mustard and was delicious. I didn't have much opportunity to sample it since my little girl decided I should have her cheese sandwich and she my hot dog. The few bites i had were great though. We ended lunch with a shared red velvet cupcake. Scrumptious and not too sweet. Highly recommend!
My most favorite place to go to for freshly prepared home make Mediterranean food ! Cafe Plus has great ambiance, the best cakes and the most friendly and accommodating owners, Stella and Andrea ! For me, it is a real treat every time I go there. I have NEVER had a bad meal ! In fact for me it just gets better and better đ Stella and Andrea you can be very proud of your AWESOME coffee shop Cafe Plus !! My week would not be complete without popping in for a meal !

Service was a bit slow but will definitely not deter me from going back. Prices are reasonable.
A nice spot for Saturday or Sunday breakfast or brunch.

I had previously tried Cafe Plus' cakes as a takeaway. On their menu, they refer to them as a 'slice of heaven' and indeed they were. The have one of the best chocolate cakes I have ever had...yes, I said ever had. đ
Today I tried their grilled chicken breasts which comes with a salad, and honey mustard dressing. The chicken was tasty and not dry, and all the salad ingredients were very fresh. I look forward to returning and trying more items on their menu.

I'm a woman of my word and did return ;-) I was a Cafe Plus groupie these past few days :-) I tried their Chicken Prego roll and Baklava cheesecake for lunch one day (takeaway). They were just ok. I know, I know...a lot of people seem to love their Baklava cheesecake, it had a great flavor, but it was just too sweet for me. The crust at the bottom was quite soggy, but perhaps that was because I got the second last piece.
It tasted a bit better after I had chilled it in the fridge.
The overwhelming taste in the chicken prego roll was...salt. It was quite salty. On the plus side, the chicken was tender and juicy.
A few days later, I returned for round 2...this time I had the chicken salad which was so delicious! Once again, they did not disappoint with their tender chicken, and fresh salad ingredients. My lunch companion had the chicken souvlaki and seemed to enjoy it.
What a great café, P is not well so she stayed home in bed and I needed a place to plan the week's menu. How about trying a new place.... Hello Cafe Plus! I love the fact that it is family owned. A Greek inspired menu. Everything is freshly prepared from scratch. The owners designed the menu especially for the restaurant and specifically taking the health conscious into account. if you want to come to come out and just chill and down a bit of good food and sip a great cappuccino come here. I seripsuly think this is one of Edenvale's Hidden Gem. Try it guys
I eat here almost daily. The menu is Greek inspired, as the owner is Greek. Their dessert/cake selection is amazing. They have a dessert table with an array for your choosing. The baklava cheesecake is a must try. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or cake and tea. I have yet to try something here I don't like.

Still the best place in Edenvale to get a breakfast, light lunch or snack. I was there recently working as I had no power. There are plug points close to tables.

Best chips I've ever had. Coffee is good. And friendly staff. Amazing place
Great little cafe, that serves the best steak sandwich on the eastrand. Fast forward three years and they still serve the best steak sandwich in Joburg. Treat yourself to a sugar free freezo. The chocolate freezo is deliciously decadent. Cafe Plus is an ideal spot to catch up on work while enjoying a meal. The waitresses are friendly and efficient.
Awesome food, great wifi (good spot to get some work done), lovely cappuccino's, and great atmosphere.
