Still the best place in Edenvale to get a breakfast, light lunch or snack. I was there recently working as I had no power. There are plug points close to tables. Food never disappoints. Service always excellent, and great value for money.

A very cute cafe with a friendly, inviting atmosphere, perfect for a morning coffee and breakfast. The manager and waiters are friendly and it is very clean.

We recently had lunch at Cafe Plus, a spot that has been going since about 2015. Simple, modern decor with seating inside and outside at the Green Valley Center. The owner Andreas has been in the food industry for as long as we can remember and we've had the pleasure of eating at most of his eateries including this one. They have a limited menu with a variety of cakes on offer which catches your eye as you enter. I decided on a Beef Burger with Cheese and Jalapeno. My mom had the Prego fillet Steak roll, and my sis had the Salmon breakfast called "The Poach" Everything was delicious, tasty and full of flavour. The Chips were HUGE and perfectly fried and spiced. My homemade beef patty was amazing, and the relish with Jalapeno and Cheese was the perfect combination along with some Prego sauce. My sisters Salmon and Poached eggs were good too and a really great portion size. Mom loved her steak roll and couldn't help praising them for the good quality if food presented. Also my Cappuccino with Cream was 😍☕ Thandeka our waitress was friendly and on the ball. Great little cafe, that serves the best steak sandwich on the eastrand. Fast forward three years and they still serve the best steak sandwich in Joburg. Treat yourself to a sugar free freezo. The chocolate freezo is deliciously decadent. Cafe Plus is an ideal spot to catch up on work while enjoying a meal. The waitresses are friendly and efficient.

Awesome food, great wifi (good spot to get some work done), lovely cappuccino's, and great atmosphere.

Stella and her team always have a smile to greet you and food is great. Their prices are very good and the food quality is good too. We go often.

My husband an I have had breakfast at this cafe on two occasions so I feel I am offering an educated review based on our experience on both occassions. I really cannot put my finger on what it is that is missing from the food at this cafe. It is really just OK. The cafe itself looks lovely and is well presented. But the salmon omelet is just salmon on an omelet with nothing else. The french toast is just bread soaked in egg. There is unfortunately nothing special or anything that would make me say that I enjoyed the breakfast above what I could get in any standard breakfast cafe. I cannot say that it is a place that I would go out of my way to go to, except for that it is central and convenient. The Baclava cheese cake did look interesting, however at R55 for what looks like a disappointingly small slice, I am not willing to risk the expense for something that may also just be an OK slice of cream cheese with some pastry. I really wish this cafe had something more to offer as it has such potential.

I love Cafe plus and have been regularly for a few years now. the food is simple but exactly what i'd expect from a coffee shop, never disappoints, Their coffee freezo's are delicious, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. But ZOMATO you need to update your photo's of the menu, prices go up slowly over the years and while I knew immediately the freezo price was wrong I also ordered a tramazini to collect and was short for cash when I arrived because your price was so wrong on here.

I was so keen on a good weekend breakfast hence my arrival at Cafè Plus. It's quite close to home but was extremely busy.<br/><br/>I had a typical breakfast of eggs, toast, some halloumi and avocado. Nothing to fancy and everything too basic.<br/><br/>The service lacked due to the fullness of the tight spot.<br/><br/>All in all, I wasn't blown away by this Cafè and will probably not be visiting anytime soon.

Great food and service in this beautiful cafe! Portions are large  and definitely great value for money. Daily cakes and desserts are to die for!

Awesome food go often and I’ve had just about everything on the menu never disappointed. I recommend the haloumi sandwich it’s delicious and made from fresh made haloumi.

Food that had us come back because it was so good the first time - the second didn't let us down either! Great ambiance but the service is not the greatest.

Andreas the owner without fail has his regulars everyday having their newspaper ready and the most wonderful man. Looking for a delicious salad or a great breakfast this is the place. The coffee is my personal favorite as well as the Honey Mustard Chicken Salad!

Not very impressed that the cheese sandwich I ordered, had a "processed slice of cheese" in it. It was terrible, I expected better quality, even grated cheese from a resturant. Service was good.

Cafe Plus is a small shabby chic cafe. The service is adequate. The food is good with great value for money. Particularly good for a nice early morning breakie.

Met a friend here for an afternoon catch-up and light snack at 4pm today and was annoyed from the moment I walked in. <br/><br/>The waiter literally watched me approaching and didn't make any attempt to even acknowledge my presence or greet me. I saw myself to a table when he then very reluctantly handed me a menu only to turn away to continue to ignore me. <br/><br/>As I looked around trying to get someone else's attention, I noticed the owner sitting in the corner on her phone, entirely disinterested and non the wiser to her staff's poor attitude and service. <br/><br/>When I eventually got a waitresses attention and called her over, the staff felt it necessary to debate about who it was that should be serving me while I continued to just wait? I was starting to realise that this place had way more unpleasantries than previously warned about. <br/><br/>Initially, when I told my husband that I was meeting a friend here at 4pm, he suggested I pick another place as he had experienced them starting to pack up around you long before closing time. But I assured him it was fine as they advertise that they close at 5:30pm. However, just as he'd warned, they were dragging chairs and tables, clearing cakes, and mopping all around us from 4:30!!? Before we had even paid our bill!? Nothing says we appreciate your business like mopping us right out of the place!? Which was at 5pm with every single table packed up but ours!<br/><br/>All of this in front of the owner who seemed to find her staff's attitudes somewhat of a joke? She even felt it acceptable to contribute and turn off the gas heater right next to us!?<br/><br/>While my gourmet hotdog was a good meal, nothing on the menu could possibly be worth putting up with the shocking experience of everything else! I definitely won't be spending another cent here again! And if they're so desperate to rush home everyday, I'd suggest they change their trading hours!!

Hair in food....disgusting overall. Manager didn't bother to apologize...steak is terrible...probably a cheap brand that. Never eating there again

I've just finished having breakfast at this little spot and I have to tell you how impressed I am. The quality of the food and the incredible taste was out of this world considering the price you pay. <br/><br/>I haven't had anything else from here yet but if you're looking for a great little breakfast spot, look no further! I will definitely be back sooner than later!

I am quite au fait with the area and decided to try this cafe as there are not many in the vicinity. The sandwiches are wholesome and a good portion size for a light lunch. The service overall is quite good and this cafe has a nice ambience. They have a good variety of cakes which I will try on my next visit. For a relaxed mealtime. I would recommend popping into Cafe plus for a tramezzini or salad - there is a good variety for vegetarians here.

They have the best carrot cake I have ever tasted!! We received prompt and friendly service and the cafe has a nice cozy vibe to it, we immediately felt at home when we stepped inside.

Small cafe with a nice range of fresh cakes, sandwiches and trammezinis. The service is good and it's the perfect place to grab a quick coffee or snack.

Had a lovely high quality breakfast here. The place is not priced too bad either. Only drawback was the service. Atleast the nice food compensated for that.

Highly recommended.<br/><br/>Update:<br/>I don't know what it is about this place, but it just seems to get better. The mushrooms are still the best I have ever had, and today we added chips. They are especially delicious - being freshly cooked and perfectly golden. <br/><br/>Each time we come, there are more and more people, along with some regulars we are starting to recognise, and the service takes a minute or two longer with more people, but the quality is worth a little wait. I may even go so far as to say that each plate is cooked with so much care you can taste the love in each spoonful, but that may sound a little OTT. <br/>A definite must for everyone who wants a delicious and reasonable breakfast. Lots of bang for your buck.

Had breakfast here this morning while waiting to collect my car from the car wash, the restaurant is small and the menu is limited for options, but other than that everything else was great.<br/>I had the omelette and a had a hot chocolate and they were both good, the service was fast and the manager was attentive, will definitely be back.

The cakes are delicious with quite a variety including muffins and cupcakes. Always fresh and yummy. I recommend the chocolate cake, it's the best!! The red velvet is good too. <br/>Service is friendly and accommodating.

In a bland, rather character-less shopping centre amidst a bland, character-less bunch of housing developments, there is a brilliant sparkle of life and joy.  It's called Cafe Plus. This is not your everyday run-of-the-mill cafe--I mean sure, they have all the favorites--breakfasts, tramezinis, sandwiches, and suchlike, but they also have things on the menu that you won't find elsewhere, and there is a definite Cypriot twist.  Take for instance, the Cypriot breakfast--eggs, tomato, toast, halloumi, and lounza.  The halloumi is soft in flavor and pleasant--not the rubbery salty stuff that passes for halloumi in so many places.  Lounza is a delicate smoked pork with a somewhat olive tapenade flavor--a Cypriot specialty.  Elsewhere on the menu, Cafe Plus features a halloumi and lounza sandwich.  A number of other interesting items on offer--souvlaki, biftekia, and beautiful big cakes--have you ever heard of a waffle cake?  A baklava cheesecake?  Or how'd you like to try The Poach-- ciabatta slices with exquisitely grilled asparagus, lots of delicate smoked trout, and a memorable smoked mushroom sauce to go with it? Check these and other things out at Cafe Plus.  <br/>  Great service, very reasonable prices, buzzing atmosphere of happy diners, and management which is friendly and attentive.  The chairs are not quite as comfortable as I'd prefer, but the cage does have a wonderful, long and soft bench on one side of the restaurant with luscious soft cushions for people like me who are fussy about keeping our backsides comfy.

We love this restaurant. Whether it is to catch a quick breakfast or a celebratory piece of cake, this is the place to go. The restaurant is well supported by the locals and they literally have the best chocolate cake you could ever imagine.

Food was a little plain and small but yummy, until I found a SHARD OF GLASS in my mouth. I informed the owners politely, I know this could have been an honest mistake. The only one who seemed to care was the waitress. The owners themselves barely batted an eyelid, arguing with me that it must have been a cucumber wrapper. I know hard sharp glass when I see it (AND FEEL IT). They should have immediately apologized and offered a refund or at least a discount. When I got the bill, I mentioned this but apparently I was not worth the trouble of them rewriting the slip. I was not a difficult customer and I am shocked by the owners lack of care for their patrons.

This is a nice little cafe situated in the heart of Greenstone. I use the word 'nice' because that is exactly what it is. There is nothing that disappointed us at this cafe but there was also nothing that really impressed us.

What a wonderful little cafe and so close to home! The last time I was there I had one of their breakfasts which I thoroughly enjoyed and promised myself to come back and try something else on the menu. As you walk in, you almost decide to just start with dessert because they are displayed so beautifully. I excersized my self control and ordered their gourmet hot dog. Not bad! It came with sliced gherkins and mustard and was delicious. I didn't have much opportunity to sample it since my little girl decided I should have her cheese sandwich and she my hot dog. The few bites i had were great though. We ended lunch with a shared red velvet cupcake. Scrumptious and not too sweet. Highly recommend!

My most favorite place to go to for freshly prepared home make Mediterranean food ! Cafe Plus has great ambiance, the best cakes and the most friendly and accommodating owners, Stella and Andrea ! For me, it is a real treat every time I go there. I have NEVER had a bad meal ! In fact for me it just gets better and better 🏆 Stella and Andrea you can be very proud of your AWESOME coffee shop Cafe Plus !! My week would not be complete without popping in for a meal !

I had previously tried Cafe Plus' cakes as a takeaway. On their menu, they refer to them as a 'slice of heaven' and indeed they were. The have one of the best chocolate cakes I have ever had...yes, I said ever had. 😄 <br/>Today I tried their grilled chicken breasts which comes with a salad, and honey mustard dressing. The chicken was tasty and not dry, and all the salad ingredients were very fresh. I look forward to returning and trying more items on their menu.<br/><br/>Edited 20/9/2015 ~ What can I say? I'm a woman of my word and did return ;-) I was a Cafe Plus groupie these past few days :-) I tried their Chicken Prego roll and Baklava cheesecake for lunch one day (takeaway). They were just ok. I know, I know...a lot of people seem to love their Baklava cheesecake, it had a great flavor, but it was just too sweet for me. The crust at the bottom was quite soggy, but perhaps that was because I got the second last piece. <br/>It tasted a bit better after I had chilled it in the fridge. <br/>The overwhelming taste in the chicken prego roll was...salt. It was quite salty. On the plus side, the chicken was tender and juicy. <br/><br/>A few days later, I returned for round 2...this time I had the chicken salad which was so delicious! Once again, they did not disappoint with their tender chicken, and fresh salad ingredients. My lunch companion had the chicken souvlaki and seemed to enjoy it.

What a great café, P is not well so she stayed home in bed and I needed a place to plan the week's menu. How about trying a new place.... Hello Cafe Plus! I love the fact that it is family owned. A Greek inspired menu. Everything is freshly prepared from scratch. The owners designed the menu especially for the restaurant and specifically taking the health conscious into account. if you want to come to come out and just chill and down a bit of good food and sip a great cappuccino come here. I seripsuly think this is one of Edenvale's Hidden Gem. Try it guys

I eat here almost daily. The menu is Greek inspired, as the owner is Greek. Their dessert/cake selection is amazing. They have a dessert table with an array for your choosing. The baklava cheesecake is a must try. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or cake and tea. I have yet to try something here I don't like.
